Newbie here *waves*
I've been puttering around with the idea of Landscapes. The ones I've come up with are redesigns of the original dual lands, and their quirk is that they're printed sideways (so their art is Landscape oriented; get it?). They also have a Gallery mechanic, rewarding you for having a bunch of landscape-oriented art:
Badlands Landscape Land - Swamp Mountain Landscape ({T}: Add {B} or {R}.) You may choose to not untap Badlands Landscape during your untap step. Gallery - At the beginning of your upkeep, if Badlands Landscape and at least two other Landscapes you control with different names are tapped, Badlands Landscape deals 1 damage to target opponent.
Nonlands can have the Gallery mechanic, too:
Inspired Thopterist - {2}{U} Creature - Vedalken Artificer Gallery - At the beginning of your upkeep, if you control three or more tapped Landscapes with different names, create a 1/1 colorless Thopter artifact creature token with flying.
Thoughts? Too strong/weak? Too complex?

if you look at the original duals, you'll probably see that they haven't been reprinted in ages. there's a reason for that. wotc realized that they were a mistake. having access that easy to multi-color mana bases muddies the color pie, one of mtg's core concepts. nowadays, lands that tap for more than one color of mana have a downside that stops you from just stuffing your deck full of them and still being able to play with the same level of efficiency as you would a monocolor deck.
your thing is the original duals but better. you can probably now see why that would be an issue.
