Xenozfan2 I like this young king. Gathering people around him as he goes into combat. It might be a little undercosted, but it only makes 1/1 so that seems balanced. Though knight tokens are usually 2/2 and soldiers are the white 1/1's. Flo00 Oh saga. Exiling the equipment reads strangely at first, but the payoff at the end is great. The search vs. reveal is a little unusual but really works well here. There is definetly a sword, but there "may" be a king. This really feels like a saga telling the story. Tesagk I like the zoom in on the sword. I think the first two lines could be written as one. The use of equip legendary is nice. The last ability, I think, turns a creature legendary permanent just by holding the sword once. gateways7 Oh a white Magnetic Theft with a plus. I like the limit on "creature you control". Akai Ryu I like the card, but it feels more like a thief than a chosen hero. Its tricky with cards that depend on your opponent to be playing something. I think the flash works good to still make this card useful. collex I try to judge cards based on what I think WotC would actually print, usually. But even though I don't think they would with this one (moving away from tutors, blue getting enchantment, directly to battlefield), the card itself is solid. Total build around potential, and probably easily broken with I card I can't think of. =) I like this wizard. Fleur Lol apples. I had to go back and look at the picture. Four mana discard spell. Doesn't make them discard lands, discourages it even. Solid design. The splash of green is tied in really well. Boogymanjunior I had to read this a few times to grok it. I think splitting the abilities into "two +1/+1 counters" and "if this was kicked, choose one - attach or put" I like the 2 +1/+1's balanced against waiting for even more destiny, the "cast it now or save it" trade off.

I think this is the first time I've checked this contest and the picture isn't an anime girl, which is neat.

I think this is the first time I've checked this contest and the picture isn't an anime girl, which is neat. Most of them aren't? By far most of the images tend to be more along the lines of landscapes or other scenes. Only a handful have featured an anime girl.

Tesagk I didn't mean to say anything about frequency. I guess it's just been my luck to check this thread when those specific images are in rotation.

Inspired by a conversation I had on the MSE Discord last night, this is a card trying to see what a colored mana rock for white would look like! It's effectively Manalith, with the downside being that it costs and only makes white mana and the upside being the Angel part, which I think creates an interesting balance. The reason I decided to do an artifact was because I thought the art didn't really look like a creature/planeswalker, but more like an in-world painting.

I'm too tired to do a full judging now. To not delay this any further, Boogymanjunior wins this. Wait, did I just write this two times in a row? Oh boy...

Shrine of Relics Past Enchantment - Shrine Whenever you play an artifact, draw a card. Then put a memory counter on ~. Remove five memory counters from ~: Destroy target artifact or enchantment. Believers came from all over, to admire what once was, while envisioning what could be.

{ viriss} viriss Starting off with a very nice card which I can see in a cool cycle. I like that it encourages multicolor of varying degree but also artifacts (although I find Viridian-->Mirrodin to be an unfortunate reference as I can't see Mirrodin being multicolor matter enough to have space for hybrid color). I also like that you always gain a small advantage but can invest for more. I am not so keen on the „any player“ clause as it always brings a difficult to balancing dependancy on your opponent's game with it. {@fabuloussunbro} @fabuloussunbro i like the flavour here. And although at first I found the combination of white monks with prowess on a red card caring about permanents leaving the battlefield pretty off-setting, it then occured to me that it could play into a cool game strategy of „Jeskai with using non-creature spells to get to most of the creatures to maximize prowess and the like“. I think a little sting remains because this card just isn't red outside of givin haste. Creature tokens leaving the battlefield to create white creature tokens with prowess screams would be a perfect match for white. Besides that, I just have to say that this card is extremely narrow and weak. Why only token? Why only sacrificed/exiled instead of dying/leaving the battlefield? Why only from an ability? Why does this ability happen in the end step (or did you mean to put the counter at the end of turn?)? And then you need seven counters. I think with that amount of counters needed, you could just set the trigger to „Whenever a permanent you control leaves the battlefield“, and it would still not be that strong. { Flo00} Flo00 That's an interesting card. I like the wither-granting mixed with the combat-engagement-restriction, a powerful effect mixed with a permanent expense (unless working around it) and fragility. And although I personally am not a fan of sacrificing a certain land type, I like the fusion of green and black with different approaches. { Tesagk} Tesagk I like the mirroring effects, especially that they are finely infused with the flavor of „learning from relics to cleanse the world from new would-to-be relics“ It's balanced, granting powerful card advantage, accelerating for the use of another, completely different card advantage. It feels like it should also trigger when playing enchantments to complete the mirroring two effects, especially when the Shrine subtype draws the attention to it (and giving it plus then) { ameisenmeister} ameisenmeister This is a cool idea to harness, and I like the flavor of gaining life and insight by honoring the dead. It seems to be pretty narrow and therefore a bit weak considering the instances where a copy is already in the graveyard should be rare even with build-around. { gateways7} gateways7 A straight, solid card. Comparing to Gargoyle Castle, the effect seems weaker, but for that, it is a tapped dual land which I think is generally slightly more valued than an untapped colorless land. {And the winner is...} Tesagk! Again, had a hard time to decide, but your flavor was one of the best when combined with these balanced, synergistic and yet antagonistic effects.

Thanks, here's your next challenge. By Alexander Deruchenko Bonus points if it's a noncreature card.

Fell the Impostors Insant Choose target creature. Destroy each other creature with the same name. Great for destroyig token armies. Or certain kinds of rat or cat infestations. Also combos with Spy Kit.
