(Reyhs was the last contact before the Malex showdown, so fuzzy time puts this before they meet.)
"Karina isn't here, she is with the little Nisita. They've both been through so much recently..."
"I'm sure you've seen the wandering demon?" the soldier asked.
I frowned. "I haven't heard of any demons on the Arena lately." My sword flashed out of its sheath. "It hasn't touched my little bandar, has it?" I growled.
Shimmersting, the Reflected Legendary Artifact - Equipment Equipped creature gets +2/+2 for each permanent named Shimmersting, the Reflected you control. Whenever a creature enters the battlefield under your control, you may create a token that's a copy of Shimmersting, except the copy isn't legendary and it doesn't have this ability. If you do, attach it to that creature. Equip Shimmersting won't exist for a few hundred years but shhh fuzzy time gurfafflekins Sunspear Converter - the body on this is alright iguess, but this has no business being common. 8/10
He nods. "They really have. But, uh, no. As far as I can tell, the thing has left them alone." he said. "I hear it is offering people things in order to try to find and kill Aylin." he says, shaking his head. "But, I actually have a request for you." he said. "I feel like... I might not make it out of whatever's going to happen." he said, scratching his neck awkwardly. "I wanted to ask... well, if the worst does happen, you'll tell your little bandar..." he hesitated. He didn't know what to say. "Just... something. Anything to make her feel better and take her mind off of me. She's already faced so much hardship and I don't know if I could bear bringing her any more."
After Melody, this was her second request, from another citizen of Sunspear. What was she, the courier?
Overbearing Angel Creature - Angel Flying Whenever a creature you control blocks or becomes blocked, ~ gets -X/-0 and that creature gets +0/+X until end of turn, where X is ~'s power. 3/4
(Should only trigger once, because any more and X = 0)
Shimmersting, the Reflected: Seems real neat. Might want nontoken though because wow my creatures are huge all of a sudden from just one Hordeling Outburst and they all automagically have +8/+8. Even for the 6 cost. 8/10.

"Taking her mind off you will not relieve any of her hardship. You've brought happiness back to the poor girl. She has known death. Pretending you never died is like abandoning her."
"But don't you dare die on her yet," I said with a laugh. "Do that and I might have to kill you myself."
Khilna, the Blossoming Legendary Creature - Efreet : Creatures you control with power 0 or less get +3/+0 until end of turn. "You see the weak, the hungry, the powerless. I see a people, looking to prove themselves." 0/3 let's get that trigger off a few more times this is the best reyhs has melody i'm sorry gurfafflekins Overbearing Angel - bit of an oddball, a +3 is usually gonna be enough that this could prob be a flat 3 instead of the scale. 8/10
The soldier smiles and nods. "Of course. But you misunderstand - not to forget me. Just something to try and keep her happy. I know abandonment and death like close friends. It is not easy to forget or... move on." he said, sighing. "But enough about me. And I won't die easy, at least. That's all I can promise." he said, smirking.
Khilna, the Blossoming: Legendary efreet - good stuff; Defender buffs; good, just sad it can't go in a Doran EDH deck (but probably for the best). 9/10.
Aylin punches the statue's feet, sending a shudder that dismantles the whole thing in less than a second. "Whoever did this is terrible at their job..." she whispers in frustration. That night, as she lies on the floor ready to fall asleep, she decides to explore a new function of the Gem of Allure she learned during her fight with Malextros. She does something she never thought she'd do in her life: she meditates! Focusing her respiration, she has a faint sensation of leylines she can read through the Gem. It won't reach far, but it's the best she can do. She buries her hand in the ground and lets the Gem feed her information. If anybody uses geomancy in her general vicinity, the Gem's power should alert her. She falls asleep after a few hours, ready to enter the world of nightmares yet again.
Geomancer's Alertness Instant Until end of turn, lands you control gain ": This land deals 1 damage to target attacking creature." A geomancer can sense you coming from miles away, focusing on even the slightest vibrations on the ground.
Aylin may feel the vibrations as the broken earth is reformed back to its pristine conditions. She won't find a geomancer, here or anywhere else, doing the reformation. The Cartographer's Step Legendary Artifact Whenever an opponent activates an ability of a permanent they control, if it isn't a mana ability, draw a card. The greatest craft of the master realmstitcher is the Cartographer's Step, a map that traces the footsteps of every creature within its bounds. korakhos Geomancer's Alertness - omai, this is a minefield. attacking should keep this in check tho. 8/10
Aylin can't believe the phenomenon even though it's taking place right before her eyes... Whoever is doing this must be really powerful, if they can shape the earth from such a distant place with such accurate precision. This geomancer might be even more powerful than she is!
The Cartographer's Step: I considered whether or not this should have a rhystic clause, but I think it's fine as it is, neat control card. 9/10.
"Greetings, Reyhsia." Arina carries in her hands the box that Hannah had been 'given' earlier today. "Have the books been put to use yet?"
"Hannah has finally recovered enough to resume work on her project, but found this in the place of the more relevant circuits. I do not recognize it as Volarian construction, which I assume means it may belong to the entity you are hunting."
Confusing Gifts Instant Reveal cards from the top of your library until you reveal four nonland cards. An opponent chooses two of them. Put the chosen cards into your graveyard and the other cards revealed this way into your hand.
(You know what, let's experiment with some card designs; why not?)
As Reyhsia is minding her own buisiness, stomps that shake the earth around her indicate there's something coming. It's either a gargantuan creature or... Aylin approaches Reyhsia, a murderous glare in her eyes. "So let me get this straight..." she says enraged "I'm minding my own business in a 'friendly' sparring with someone. That someone shoots me with a beam that has the capacity to kill me, I react to that and you interrupt us saying I'm the bad guy? "But why stop there? Then you think that a person who thinks their parents are dead has to know they're not, and you decide to impose the knowledge on them without even caring to find out why they thought them dead in the first place... And instead of owning up to it, instead of trying to help that person by accepting your mistake, you send someone to erase the memory just so you can just get disinvolved with the whole matter? Am I missing something?!" A wall rises at Reyhsia's back and begins moving, dragging her towards Aylin.

Escrith, the Scroungelord Legendary Creature - Human Survivor If a spell or ability would put one or more cards into your graveyard, you may put one of those card into your hand and the rest into your graveyard instead. 3/2

Reyhsia storms to Aylin ahead of the wall, looking into those same hateful eyes as she had when she stood before Aiden. "No, you just about got it. But ask yourself one question, Aylin. What would have happened if I didn't? If I had let you maim Aiden, if I didn't send Mei to offer you help, would either of them had been there to save you?"

"I am hopeful that we can determine who this is."
I assume it's not intentional that Escrith replaces death by doom blades or wrath of gods? Assuming that's the case it seems fine; 3/2 for 3 is alright and the upside is relatively minor until you start doing surveil shenanigans. 7/10

"Karina, I'm going to be off-plane dealing with politics for a little while, but before I go there are a couple of people I want you to meet. This is Deputy Chief Hana Cheyn; she's going to be in charge while I'm away. She's one of our finest instructors, and I'm sure you'll learn a lot from her." Hana extends her hand for Karina to shake, the titanium shell of the prosthetic oddly warm. "This is Dr. Tim Arueth, our medic. I'd heard you were feeling a bit under the weather earlier, maybe having odd visions, and it crossed my mind that we don't know what aftereffects Kirino's manipulations might've had. Dr. Arueth's already examined Janika and I, and we're both unscarred; whereas Reyhsia's injuries were—" he gestures vaguely at his chest "—more obvious. Lance and his agents are getting checked back in Tena right now, but you spent more time around her than any of the rest of us, so I'd like Dr. Arueth to give you a quick checkup to make sure you're all right."
Doctor Timotar Arueth Legendary Planeswalker — Arueth : Target player discards a card. [Guest System] You are a sharp one, blood seer. A gust of wind blows across Reyhsia as she walks in the open air. The air temperature drops a few degrees, leaving behind a chilling feeling. And yet, you shall falter. Ominous Gust Sorcery Return two target creatures to their owner's hand. A breeze blows by. Perhaps it's something more?
Reyhsia shivers at the breeze. There's something unsettling familiar about it, but she can't put her finger on it.
Spirit of the Evigius Legendary Creature - Spirit If a spell or ability an opponent controls would cause another creature you control to leave the battlefield, that player sacrifices a creature instead. 4/5 gurfafflekinsUndo says this is prob not 1U or common. 6/10
Pha'eri Bogbreather: I'd been toying with an idea like this, and you pulled it off great! The Gleam of Resistance is the cherry on the top. 10/10.
Aylin laughs joylessly. "Oh, yes, you're the real hero of the story! It was your intervention that saved Aiden from 'being maimed' yes! It was definitely that and not the fact that I wasn't planning on doing anything irreversible to him at all! "And of course, if you hadn't sent Mei then she wouldn't have been there to help me at all! I'm pretty sure if it wasn't for you she would've never figured out to follow the earthquake I caused to its origin! "And I forgot you were the one who told her to stab the demon, and who told me to pierce his head, or Aiden to bathe him in light. My you're quite the psychic, managing to coordínate all that from afar, hell I didn't even notice you in the vicinity, you must be truly amazing! "And you must really care about Aiden, if you sent Mei to help, since she didn't disappear at all after striking the demon, leaving Aiden bleeding from a gaping hole in his abdomen. For a second there I thought it was Hanska who had done all the work!" She pauses for a few seconds, breathing heavily. As she spoke and got increasingly angry, she had levitated the ground surrounding her, leaving her standing in a small island of dirt surrounding by a deep moat. She returns the earth to its place, then proceeds. "If you could admit just a tiny bit of your mistakes I could at least have an ounce of respect for you... But trying to be the hero in a situation where some of us fought not knowing if we'd make it alive... That's low, I would've expected that from Kirino or Malextros, but not others..." she says venomously "You know what? Thank you, thank you for telling me my parents are alive. Now I can try to become a better person for their sake... "What about you? Can you admit to any flaw or mistake or do you just assume yourself the perfect person, here to save us from every trouble we may encounter?"
Break Through the Defenses Instant ~ deals 3 damage to target blocking creature. "Every defense has a weak spot.
(Flavor represents Aylin getting through Reyhs's response, not physical violence, btw)
"Mei would have a hell of a time tracing that earthquake from Usona, where she'd still be if I hadn't got her. And I'm not going to fault her for not helping the man that nearly burned her to death SECONDS earlier either."
"You know why you didn't see me, Aylin? Because I didn't rush into a fight without thinking. Because I trusted the woman who kills demons to kill a demon. Because I was surrounded by people who needed my help after the ENTIRE ARENA EXPLODED OUT FROM UNDER THEM. "
"I don't claim to be the hero of this story or any other. Just remember which of us brought the demon here, and which of us brought the demonslayer." Reyhsia, the Unyielding Legendary Creature - Human Warrior First strike, lifelink : Until end of turn, if a source would deal damage to Reyhsia, the Unyielding, Reyhsia deals that much damage to that source's controller instead. "This is where I stand. You will move me no further." 3/2
Reyhsia subtly scratched at her ear and whispered. "Sevid, I might need a quell on my position." korakhos Break Through the Defenses - dunno what this is doing at rare but is a good combat trick, even if more of white's wheelhouse. 9/10
Reyhsia, the Unyielding: Fine card, cool activated ability. 9/10.
Aylin gives Reyhsia a sad smile, then sighs. "I didn't bring the demon, he came of his own accord... you may have brought the demonslayer, but you didn't bring her for that cause. You brought her to do your dirty work on me, not to kill a demon, you're just lucky she happened to be at the right place at the right time. Don't mistake luck with vision, I've seen many people face their downfall for that... most of them by my own hand, ironically. "Do us both a favor, stop trying to fix me or fix what you caused me... I want nothing to do with you from this moment on. You go your way, I'll go mine, you've caused enough trouble in my life already..."
Forking Roads Land ~ enters the battlefield tapped. As ~ enters the battlefield, starting with you, each player chooses a color that hasn't been chosen yet. : Add one mana of any color chosen for ~.
"Don't mistake your faults with mine," she growled.
"If you don't want to deal with me again, fine. All you've got to do is stop putting the Arena in danger every week." She turned her back to the geomancer and walked off.
Rylei, the Sea's Scorn Legendary Creature - Avatar Haste Whenever an opponent taps a nonbasic land for mana, gain control of that land. "So the humans think they rule the world? Let's remind them who's in charge here." 5/4 Forking Roads - dece for multiplayer drafts, feels like it's usually going to be worse than a tapland or a tri-tapland most the time, with more memory hassle to boot. 7/10
"Hey, Karina?" Hannah is beaming, holding something behind her back and lightly stepping up to Karina. "My tunneler's coming along now! All the damage the shaking caused it's been fixed and I should be done in a couple days! ... It just, you know... means I'm running out of time here."
Hannah pulls out a bright metallic bracelet with a dark glass screen from behind her back. It's about half the size of Karina's forearm with light blue text saying "Karina Oblay, Student of 7CI?"across a bar at the top. Its default screen also has a clock indicating that the current time is "17.72", the current date is "Month 3, Day 23, 381 VY", and a notepad with sloppy handwriting saying "Friend!". It looks very similar to the device on Hannah's wrist.
"This is an Entelan transceiver. It's got a resonance coil in it so hopefully it'll work no matter where you and I are. We use these things all the time to talk across Volaria, but, you know... planes."
"All you've gotta do is say 'Interplanar communication, contact Hannah.'" The device clicks, and the one on Hannah's wrist lights up with a light beeping. Hannah pauses for a moment and looks out of the side of her eyes, then lifts her transceiver closer than Karina's. "Connect." The beeping stops. "See?" Hannah's voice comes out of the other transceiver as well. "Disconnect."
"These things are charged by aether condensation grids. I've got one set up at my place..." Hannah smiles at Karina again. "There'll be other Entelans here taking my place when I go home, so you can just ask one of them to use it and let them know you're my friend!"

cajun — Karina, the Student: I love the triggered ability, the +1 seems fine, and the ult... I don't like how easily it goes infinite, but it's probably okay. 9/10
"There's some scarring on your head here—do you know what it's from?" "I lost control of my life. Got into places I shouldn't have. But I'm doing better now." "I see. I have some magic that can help them mend themselves—yes, I see you've already got some magic helping with that. This should compound with that, make the healing faster. And I'd like to do a quick scan of your brain to check for any residual damage..."
"... no lasting damage that I can see. Young brains are resilient, fortunately for you..."
"... what we call Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Basically, your body's still trying to protect you from a fight that's already ended, and by doing so it's just hurting you more. But it's possible to train it to recognize the difference between real danger and safety. I'd like to meet with you every week to talk for a little while, and help you learn how to manage your memories better..."
WindyDelcarlo Communication Transceiver - omai this does a lot. The mana payments on the bigger modes make me suspect the downpayment could be a hair cheaper, but hard to tell on repeatable hand rerolls. 8/10
"Oh, you'll have to leave?" she asked sadly. Hannah was the only living person her age she had known since...
Karina took the transceiver and listened to Hannah explain the device. "Well, thank you. I've never had anything quite so... wow." She looks over the display. "Why is my name a question? And what are all these numbers?"
Karina looks upset but puts on the device with Hannah's help. "I don't want you to leave, but at least you don't have to be all the way gone."
Karina Oblay, Student of the 7CI Legendary Creature - Human Whenever you draw a card, exile the top card of your library face down. (You can't look at it.) : Turn all cards exiled with Karina face up. "I dunno what you study with 7CI, so I added a question mark! The big number's the time in Entela, the one with the letters after it is today's date!"
Hannah's composure rapidly decomposes as Karina expresses her disappointment. "I... I don't want to leave either. You're my best friend and... but Mom says I'll die if I stay here forever... I don't even know if this'll work right..." Hannah throws her arms around Karina and takes a deep breath to push away her oncoming tears. "Maybe you could come with me. For a little bit at least, if you're not busy. Or I could ask Sara to visit again soon, since I'll have a way home. Or, I don't know, something, anything! There'll be a way!"
Holy geez, this thing draws so many cards. I want this in commander or something, 10/10
Cling to Hope Sorcery As an additional cost to cast Cling to Hope, discard your hand. Take an extra turn after this one.
"Okay!" Hannah takes a deep breath, wipes her eyes again and releases Karina. "If something stops working while I'm gone, there'll be more Entelans at the place that you can bother about me, right? And until then, you can always talk to me now! I'll come find you... later? Later, sometime before I have to go!"
So I want to cast Cling to Hope and discard more copies of Cling to Hope. Seems good, but I think it's slightly weaker of a body than it needs to be? 7/10
I looked up to the old master, a pitiful wooden sword in my hand, and a straw hat upon my head. “A warrior is more than violence!” he barked. “Any fool can die with a fire in their eyes! If you desire greatness, first, you master grace!” He lunged at me with his sparring stick. I reacted in time to block it, but the force knocked me back enough for the hat to fall off. “No!” he yelled, whacking me on the head with the stick. “You lose your balance enough to lose your hat here, you lose your head out there!”
“The hat blocks my eyes.” I complain as I pick it back up.
“You think you can see everything during a fight?” The question was followed by another rap on the head. “Fighting requires not just speed and power, but a solid foot and a solid head. You must always know where you stand, and where your enemies stand, especially when you can’t see them.” --- Reyhsia, age 10
We circle around the arena, the sparring sticks cracking as they connected. Block. Block. Sidestep, don’t lose the hat, block. Block. SWING. The master grunts as I connect for the first time.
He stands straight and gives me a short bow. I do the same. My hat slides off.
WHACK. --- Reyhsia, age 13
Aukashi crackles as the lightning dances down the blade. The old master looks down with a stern look. No magic, only steel.
The clang of the metal is so much worse than the sticks, each ringing of the swords crawling up my arm. Fight through the pain.
Reyhsia walked into the small room 7CI had provided me, put back together after someone had gone through it. No one knew who had done it, except possibly me.
“Close the door?” I asked, then motioned for her to sit next to me on the bed. “I have something I have to tell you.” I took a deep breath as I took off my hat.
“Yes, Tim told me about your scaring, and your… stress. Seems like something from your Festenya days?”
“No,” I sniffed. I could feel the tears trying to come through. “Reyhsia… you… you won’t hate me if I lied to you, right?”
“Would I h…? Where would you even get an idea like that? Don’t worry, little bandar. You can tell me anything.”
I tried to hold back the tears. If I could trust anyone to fix it, it had to be Reyhsia. “I didn’t get these scars from living in Festenya. A few months ago, I found a hat exactly like this one. It was the most beautiful thing I had seen since… since my parents died."
"I had been alone for so long, and I just wanted to be pretty again. So I put on that hat.” I could feel the tears on my face. Could hear my blubbering. But she just kept her hand on my back and listened.
“I don’t know what happened after that. Not for a long while. I just have bits and pieces of memories until… until Rowboat tried to kill us. But I know that the hat was walking me around. Pretending to be me. Bringing me here.” I wrapped my arms around her and tried to calm down.
“After Kirino, I finally got free. I didn’t know what to do. We had lied to everybody. I didn’t know…”
“I didn’t want to tell anyone. I thought the hat would go away forever, and maybe I could forget all about it. But… I think it’s back. I'm scared it’s trying to get me again. I don’t want everyone to know I lied, but I don’t want it to come back! I don’t know what to do…” I cried into nonsense. No one said anything for a few moments as she tried to comfort me.
"I never wanted to tell anyone." I finally said again. "Even when everything started happening, I couldn't. But I don't want to hurt anyone, and I might know something that can help. Just... please don't tell anyone it was me, okay?"
