The slime floats, motionless. It seems to be observing its surroundings, but doesn't seem aggresive. Further inspection may reveal new details... Sometimes the ooze bubbles. Others it stands still and static. Sometimes it tries to break out of the sphere. Others it just accepts its fate and looks at its surroundings. If Jhanu leaves it unnattended it may slip out of the orb, apparently through nowhere. If he is more cautious, though, this new thing will just observe him and every move he makes. One night Jhanu checks in on the contained substance, only to find it has vanished...Without A Trace Sorcery Put target nonland permanent on top of its owner's library. Its controller may scry 3. Eye of the Magistrate - seems to be fine at uncommon. Bond should maybe be Sorc speed? 8/10

Seiva looks to Haia. "Are you ready?" Haia nervously looks between Pidge and Seiva before returning an unconvincing nod.
"I-I hope so. We can't let her..."
Seiva looks back up at Pidge. "If you know where she resides, I would appreciate you guiding us there. We need to find her as quickly as possible."
I like the SILENT a lot. 10/10
It might be better if the Pidge-guided crew goes to hunt Kei down than have me attack you for it.

With every passing day, the Arena location was looking like a worse and worse idea. The nightmares when they arrived destroying the first outpost, the sudden disappearance of Sanaerti making hiring additional staff almost impossible, the troubles arising from planeswalkers being the only customers, and now this with the Kei woman and the letters...
The Arena was full of troubles. She'd seen many troubles, and she'd done her best to fix em before. She was gonna do her best this time, but she was increasingly worried her best wouldn't be enough.
In one hand, she held the MANA, patiently watching for spells from a potential murderer. In the other, she clicked on the SILENT disc, hoping against hope the device worked better than it had last time...Pidge has spent 2 skill points and opened the vault twice, unlocking The MANA and The SILENT.

Pidge breathes a quiet sigh of relief at the clearing of Jhanu and Januti. It had already seemed unlikely, but she had been too scared to find out the truth on her own.
It seemed Lettie had been doing far better detective work of Pidge's problem than Pidge herself. She was going to have to pay her back somehow once this was over.
She gathered some pages to prepare another letter. Jane and the deity kid she had no idea where to find, but she could follow up on Brayden. She may need to close the outpost for a few days to shut down the flow of the letters.

Pidge would have to weather at least the opening stage of this assault on her own.Lettie will return to this board once her confrontation with J has ended, if she survives. Offensive Unit — This is the first blueprint I'm attempting to rate. What I see are three one-time payments, each at varying levels of efficiency. The obvious most efficient option right away is the creature mode. I would have said the second one, option, but it's usually nonfunctional without the third. It is even more efficient, brutally so. I'm also not fond of the repeated shuffles in terms of gameplay. I have no frame of reference for the first ability's development, but there is at least merit in a novel trigger design-wise. 7/10

uhhh, dunno how to write for the Thing secretly screwing with stuff so have an equipment that synergizes with these two
Charged Paralyzer Artifact - Equipment Whenever you cast a noncreature spell, put a +1/+1 counter on equipped creature. Equip Laboratory Unit - would probably reword the counter reset cause had to read it a few times to figure out what it was doing. could probably be a fair bit cheaper 7/10Electroanimation - wording is wrong and so makes it unclear if the pt is including Electroanimation and any spells you cast after it. probably fine but seems hard to use given you need U and R and artifacts and inst/sorcs. 7/10

A the end of the day in which the woman in the shawl had delivered the letter tied in twine, she returns, just behind Pidge's building, her coat stained with blood and mysterious substances, stumbling out of the blind eternities, trailing fumes of particularly unpleasant bitterness. Lettie's face is plainly visible, with the skin just near her eyes tinged with burns, and her knees are shaking as she struggles to stay on her feet. Lettie stares for a moment, paralyzed, but when she sees Jhanu, she snaps into action, picking out one of her unused corrosive vials, and hurling it as close as she can to the device, imbued with a sliver of black mana. Where the vial strikes the ground, it bursts into a cloud, which, with a flash of mana, expands into a bank of smog that sweeps over the landscape, instructed to devour artifice. Lettie takes a few staggering steps at the end of her throw, and raises a hand to Jhanu, as she tries to ask where Pidge is. "Jhanu Pidge where happened-" Lettie grits her teeth, claps a hand to her temple, and forces out single syllables in their intended order. "Where... is... Pidge?" Selective Smog Sorcery Choose one — • Artifact creatures get -2/-2 until end of turn. • Nonartifact creatures get -2/-2 until end of turn. Cursed Creations — This seems to be costed without accounting for its self-contained synergy. Besides costing, I think this is good design. 8/10

The fact that the building had been made entirely of wood was terrible for defense against fire, but in this case, it was a blessing. It's also less likely to screw you over. 8/10

Lettie lets out a nervous laugh. "Maybe. One moment." Lettie takes out an everwake potion, and glances at it. This is a bad idea. I'm already on laudanum, an analgesic. If I take this, I might cancel out the negation of J's earlier spell, and there might be lurking reactions between the two... but I've gotten this far, and I can't be fainting while carrying Pidge. Lettie downs it, waits a moment to start feeling the buzzing at the back of her skull, and the warmth behind her eyes, and she picks up Pidge with both arms, and starts carrying her to Jhanu. "Jhanu! Pidge can't walk! What's the plan?" Lettie is looking down at Pidge and occasionally watching her step as she walks, ensuring that nothing important slips out of place, or that Pidge doesn't start turning an unusual colour.Unwitting Slip Sorcery Reveal any number of cards from your hand. Target opponent reveals that many cards from their hand and you choose one of them. That player discards that card. Sike, it's another hand attack! Monument of Descendants — Oh wow. This seems to expect two to three creature cards at any one time, which seems about correct. Kind of causes a weird curve of benefit for an anthem, which traditionally becomes more powerful as you play more creatures, but otherwise awesome. 9/10

Lettie silently curses herself as she remembers that Pidge wasn't supposed to know that she had found that out.
"Jhanu? Can you... get us to him?"
"Jhanu! // There is a scurry nearby Lettie as Jhanu runs past her. There's a heavy breath as he tries to slow himself down.
"Please set her down. Then distract that for a minute. Without watching us. I'll get her out. Then you get you out."
At first, the THING seems safely contained within Jhanu's spell. At this distance, Lettie may be able to see the plain looking box of wires taking shape on it's handle. The antimagic field of the NOPE activates, dissolving Jhanu's spell. Despite the field, the baton of the THING crackles with electricity, and it charges at Lettie. Mindbreaker Artifact Whenever a spell or ability an opponent controls causes you to discard Mindbreaker or another card, Mindbreaker deals 2 damage to that player.

so can keep attacking the THING or end the interaction here Lettie complies, and rallies her elementals to her side, reaches for her vials, and she realizes she has run out of corrosive materials, and by extension, any effective weapons against a construct. Her heart murmurs as the THING charges, and she clutches at her chest, backpedaling, and screaming at her elementals to hold it away from her, to keep that blasted abomination away from her, as she stumbles backwards, falls onto her back, and keeps pushing herself away as her heart threatens to burst."Now!"
Lettie briefly glances into the miasma of the blind eternities to see Pidge's signature retreating, before letting her body fall into the ground, the fumes enveloping her, the world around vanishing.
She slams into the ground next to Jhanu and Pidge with a puff of fumes smelling of the usual gall and bile, and briefly glances at them before the light around her flickers one last time, and the darkness swallows her mind, the buzzing in her skull fading.
Mindbreaker — Cool. Seems to expect to trigger twice when cast, and once when discarded, which is perfectly reasonable. Appropriate rarity too, of course. 10/10

The THING stops in its tracks as its quarry vanishes yet again. Discs spawn under each of its legs and activate, the SILENTs hiding it away from Lettie's summons. It crawls back to the now motionless STOP that had summoned it. A BAG unfurled from the back of the THING, collecting up the scrap to begin work on more backups. A pair of googles builds itself up on top of the baton. It swivels around, searching for the magical signature of its target. It takes a step.
The THING has opened the Vault, unlocking the Limb Extension and Generation System and the Nullifier Of Planar Energy.

The aftermath of J and the THING's fights, co-written by test Lettie comes to in a room much like the PB&J from the Arena, but larger and constructed from metal more than wood. She finds herself on a cot in a larger area behind the courier’s counter, which is being manned by a very pale person with a metal arm, who wasn’t paying her any mind. As she looks around, she finds another cot surrounded by a dozen different tools, with Pidge laying, back up, on it.Lettie groans as she comes to and sits up. Almost immediately, she draws a sharp breath and starts frantically searching around for her bag, and quickly finds it nearby. "Pidge?" she calls out. The kithkin shifts only slightly to look to her. "Who’s supposed to be looking after us right now?""Ilarion, at the minute." One finger pointed at the vampire behind the counter. "We had a cleric in here earlier looking at you. Something about your heart? Was hard to keep straight.""Sounds plausible, considering I took two potions with opposite effects on the heart… no any- no one put anything in my bag out of place did they?""I don’t think so? Do you have something better for it in there?""No." Lettie pauses for a long moment. Pidge, unsure what to say, let the silence hang for once. "Are you alright?"Pidge makes a strained noise that was supposed to be a laugh. "Been better. Coulda been worse. Sounds like the PORTAL ate enough of the blow that there’s not permanent damage. Gonna be a bit before I’m back in running shape, though. How’s it feelin’ on your end?""I’ve been through far worse. At least it’s just body- it’s just all of my body."
"The cats are probably starving. I think that’s bothering me more." Lettie attempts to stand, and feels a pain in her abdomen sharp enough that she falls back onto the cot. "Or perhaps they could just die," she says with a strained voice. "The Witch made them, after all.""They should be fine unless ya locked em up. Cats are pretty good at that. But ‘all of your body’ seems pretty bad to me."Lettie sat in silence for a moment. "You’re probably right about the cats. Anyway, I can get back to them soon enough. It’s not like that damaged my spark, or… uh, I mea- my spark. I’m going to be fine, really. Last time I nearly died- it doesn’t matter, I’ll be fine.""If you say so…" Lettie’s words didn’t sit well with Pidge. "Y’know, ya can hold out here as long as ya need. We can get someone to check on the cats. Got a few walkers who owe me a favor or ten."Lettie seemed to makes a sour face upon the mention of owing favors. "Celestial Spheres, thank you, please. I haven’t got any place of my own to stay until I clean out my shops too. I didn’t want J to attack any other place when I went to challenge her, then she started breaking my vials in my home… I only hurt her once, and now I have to decontaminate every store I had before that point.""You actually fought her? Did you figure out anything more than your last letter?"Lettie waved her arms around her. "We’re… safe, right? You remember... the last letter too… right?""Jhanu’s been contacting other branches while we were out. It seems like the Arena’s been the only place getting her letters.""During the fight, these tendrils of shadow appeared all over my shop. Reminded me of the shadows that gave me my letter back. It… looked like illu- like held- like they were being held behind this illusion. One she created… It’s just a guess, a hunch, but did you notice any other illusions that J had cast?""Uh…, when Michi gave me a letter, there was something from his first letter that did cast one. Made it look just like his, aside from being addressed to me now."Lettie cackles "I knew it. I had thought she could see through the letters like I see through my alarms, and then I could challenge her by writing on my letter, and the letters are illusions too. I… I’m not sure how wor- how exactly it works, but I think she is… well, not exactly is, but might as well be the illusions... I’m not making much sense, am I?""It’s like havin’ another set of eyes? Think I get that much, at least." "But eyes-," she was yelling now. The vampire grumbled. "It’s not just the eyes! I can’t cast spells through my alarms! It’s the eyes, and arms, and if it spreads from letter to letter, the legs too!""So there’s no telling how much trouble those can get up to." Pidge sighs. "I think… I think we just need to call off the Arena outpost. Between the nightmare holes and that war and the big city just up and walking away, and now this witch that seems to have a grudge on the place… it might be best if we just leave."Lettie’s face fell instantly. "You’re not going to vanish, are you?"Pidge shows a bit of a smile. "I’ll still be around. Delivering stuff to the bakery. And ya got a PING, after all."Lettie stares at the smile, looking somewhat worried. "If you say so… and my books?""I bring by new ingredients and stuff I find to the bakery all the time, can do the same with plant and potion and whatever else books if ya like.""Good… the routine survives. Thank you.""Now how about a question for you? Ya said my PORTAL was broke… how’d you figure out a thing like that?"Lettie is silent for a really long time. A really, really long time. She stole a few glances at Pidge. "It was… just something I found out when… oh Bitter Stars…" She closes her eyes and covers her face with a hand and lays on her back. "I had to… figure outpost- figure out when you wouldn’t be at the outpost. T-to deliver my letter to you. A few things came up when I…" Lettie trails off into nothing. Pidge’s face turned quickly to concern. "Ya coulda asked when I’d be away, ya know. And I don’t see how being there when I ain’t tells you about it.""No I couldn’t! I decided I’d write you that letter after… after I got my letter for the second time. I didn’t want J to see me talking to you again.Pidge’s eyes narrow "Why not? Seemed to me like the only thing she wanted was the letters sent. Wouldn’t think talking to me woulda done much… unless you know something more about her.""No, I don’t! I thought-" Lettie panics and her breaths become much deeper. "I couldn’t talk to you again. I didn’t think I could even be seen by you before you had read my letter.""But… why? What made you think that?""Because I’d made a damn fool of myself!" she yelled. "How am I supposed to face-," her stammering started to quiet down. "Even in the last fa- few seconds, every twitch... of your face staring at me made me feel like I should have died on the spot... I had to get a word in to you without having to see myself being seen that way for another second. That’s why I had to send that letter when you weren’t there."Pidge’s face falls slightly, and she shifts to look away from Lettie. "I didn’t mean… I’m sorry. I didn’t know you…""It’s nothing you meant, or did, it’s just… I couldn’t bear to be reminded of how I’d failed… again… it was my fault. All of it. I don’t even remember if it was Januti’s yelling, or you staring through these eyes into me. I decided… I’m not even certain now.""I don’t see how any of this mess has been your fault?""The mess right after you burned the letter was my doing. I don’t know what I was thinking. I suppose I… jumped to a conclusion, then… I just felt betrayed and confused and frightened. I spoke without thinking, then I left before you could get a word in." Lettie struggles with her words, then seems to give in and move on. "You were my only friend. After all that had happened, I was afraid that I had no one, and that if we met face to face before I could say anything, that you’d confirm that. I haven’t got a home to go back to, either…"Pidge weakly waves her hand. "That mess being what, you getting worried and shouting up the place? Not much of anything to be worried about. Ya got scared, and why wouldn’t ya? We saw what that witch was trying to do."
"Know what ya did do though? You pulled me outta that burning wreck. That’s a whole lotta plusses in my book. Might’ve been a whole lot worse without ya. Might not’ve made it at all."Lettie guiltily looks at Pidge as she says it could have been worse. She works through something in her head for a bit before continuing. "...You’re right. Maybe I’m just missing perspective. For a moment, I suppose I thought having one’s back nearly snapped was a fate only slightly worse than making a fool of oneself."Lettie stares at Pidge’s face, still somewhat worried. "Thanks for saying that… out loud. I think I haven’t got any perspective on any of this. It’s… difficult to explain… It must seem out of the blue, and I hope I’m not being rude by asking this, but could you tell me what the thoughtweft is like?""Heh, don’t know I’d call it rude, but it’s a bit of a doozy ain’t it. Thoughtweft...when I’m home you can feel everyone around ya, feel em trying to help out in their little ways. Get these little thoughts to pick ya up when your stuck, either on your work or on your troubles. When you’re there, ya don’t really think much about it, cause it’s all ya know. Out here, and everywhere else though, that all goes away. It’s just so staggeringly quiet. Makes ya feel pretty alone if you stop too long."
"But… at the same time… at home, it’s not so lonely but really reminds me that I’m… different from the rest of em. Don’t see quite right, and get to know all the time that everyone around me does. It’s got its comforts and its discomforts, like pretty much anything I guess. Just moreso, cause it’s stuck in your head."Lettie’s eyes well with tears with the last sentence. "Thank you… I think… I know what this is now. I used to think that humans had something similar. It certainly looked like it. I think… that if I were a kithkin… I’d be the only one without a connection to the thoughtweft. Everyone around you can feel the whole picture in their head. And they never say what it is, out loud. They just keep it between themselves."It had been many years since Pidge’s first steps out of Lorwyn, and she’d had a long time to get used to the silence. But that initial panic had remained one of the scariest times of her life… and Lettie lived like that all the time? It explained… a lot. "I don’t think I help ya make a thoughtweft, but I can work on that ‘out loud’ if that’ll help.""I don’t know. It would be less… exhausting, but I don’t know that I’d want to be treated like I was anything but a... person like any other… please don’t tell anyone about this. I only told you this because… well, I didn’t want that last mess to happen again, or for you to think it was your fault.""I… alright. If ya ever need to talk again, I can be around for it. Bout all I’ll be good for for a bit anyway."
"On that note, whatever it was you figured out about the PORTAL… please keep that to yourself, too. Something we’d rather keep… unknown. Would like to avoid someone less friendly looking to make their own.""Deal."

The PB&J Delivery sign plopped to the ground. A layer of paint washed over the letters. Jhanu sloooooooowly set the sign aside the rest of the wreckage.
Pidge couldn't even try to smile looking at the mess. The Arena location had proven itself far more dangerous than it was worth, and without Sanaerti there was no chance anyone other than her and Jhanu would be able to staff it. Thankfully, Lettie's actions had ensured they could save a lot of what had been here, beside the building itself, but it was time to call it off.
Jhanu nodded slightly and vanished into a planeswalk. Pidge looked over the mess a while longer. A mrrp from Brownie finally broke her thoughts. With one last vmm, a green portal opened up, and Pidge and Brownie stepped inside. PB&J have left the Arena. {Pidge's Character Sheet} You encounter a quickly made wooden building, adorned with the sign PB&J Delivery! Fastest service in the Verse!
Inside the room is divided in two. A very large turtle is slooooooooowly working with mail and packages at one counter, while a kithin tinkers with some device on the workbench on the other half. A gray cat is curled up in the back, asleep on some makeshift mattress.

cajunContinuing from my thread... When Zero finally stops running, Brayden starts huffing and puffing, clearly he isnt very athletic (And I imagine Zero could theoretically run quite a long time because she is essentially a robot).
