gurfafflekins Lady Mapi Neottolemo Ominous Feeling - Assuming that second ability makes them cost one mana less, not just one mana. type restrictions make me think this is fine at 1UR. 9/10 Fractured Timepiece - "This doesn't do anything against pha-oh that'd do it." Nice control piece, notably doesn't really do anything to a planeswalker cause it can just tap itself without worry. 9/10(ye Karina the Freed was more just having fun carding the one legendary creature she's supposed to be able to make in this position, not necessarily the most mechanically elegant card she can) // Karina's face looks more and more horrified as Mattol speaks. As he cries, all she can do is cry with him. Childhood Sorcery Destroy all permanents with converted mana cost 4 or greater. "Everyone who helps me gets hurt. Everyone who loves me dies. Everyone who hates me lives. So why am I still alive?" My glass cloud fell to the ground, inert. I started laughing - the hollow, soulless laugh of a broken man.
"So I swore on Bekka's grave that I'd make Kirino Oblay pay. And now I might have to take that out on a little girl - life oaths are a bitch."
I stood as straight as I could.
"I'll give you a choice, Karina. Either prove to me that you aren't Kirino's host, or... don't."
I left the threat hang in midair.Master's Toolkit - Artifact - Equipment Equipped creature has +X/+0, where X is the number of artifacts you control. As long as Inert Cloud is attached to a creature you control, artifacts you control have indestructible. Equip Credo of the Ruler wants you to make a Saga. Something about you and your time here on the 'boards, maybe? Childhood is grim... and works pretty well. I question whether or not you need that , though. 9/10

I lift my transceiver arm and contact miss Nisita. "This is the woman who killed her," I tell Mattol. "That should do it, right?" "Hello?" Her voice comes through. "Miss Nisita! This is important. Can you tell me what exactly you did to Kirino Oblay?"

Hyle spent 1 point to unlock Spellslinger! And 1 point to unlock Tribal but that's not as relevant!
Judgement of the Frozen Hell Enchantment - Aura Enchant permanent Whenever an activated ability of the enchanted permanent is activated, destroy it and each permanent that shares a name with it. If the enchanted permanent is a creature, whenever it attacks or blocks, destroy it and each permanent that shares a name with it.
Also calling for aid for Go for the throat. Both cards are targeting Mattol, obviously.
This is mostly a synergy piece with Windy's card so I'm not sure if it properly counts as assisting the defence, would be willing to change it if needed
You're allowed to kill Hyle btw if you can figure out how

WindyDelcarlo cajun Lady Mapi Neottolemo Perfection. Mattol is suddenly engulfed in a flame - but feels no heat. However, that ice seems to shrink inside of him to a alarmingly low level. Alarming for the opposition, of course. Arina's wounds are tended to and closed, but of course that is merely a setback. Tsk, tsk Hyle. You are but a nuisance. As Hyle would approach for the stab, the flames would lash at her in tongues - searing hot as fire should be. And you, Ms. Nisita... care for a taste of your own threats?Ominous Assistance Instant Destroy target artifact or enchantment, then target player draws cards equal to the total converted mana cost of artifacts and enchantments destroyed this way. Overload We can deal you damage or draw Ourselves, or take us all down. Care to dance? An additional attack vs Windy, cajun, and Neo in assistance of ame. ( Childhood: I mean, alright? Feels weird that childhood straight up destroys the presumable "adulthood" but uh could see in BW, maybe 5 mana though. 8/10.

Alright, now to paint the mechanical picture here. Ominous Assistance is blowing up Judgement of the Frozen Hell, which will cause someone (or everyone) to lose three life because of Harsh Threat. Hyle is GTFO'ing Mattol, who because of Simple Facts, will lose 1 life instead of being destroyed. And now the kid's gotta make sure no one dies :3 "How are you so sure? Have a habit of murdering serially-incarnating planeswalkers, Miss Nisita?"
I pulled a small lens out of pocket and looked at Karina through it.
"Care to explain why she has a mana bond to Agahia of all places, then?"Simple Facts - Instant Until end of turn, if target permanent would be destroyed, draw a card instead. "You can't break the truth." // In response to what seems to be a threat, Arina planeswalks to beside Karina and taps the disconnect icon on her transceiver. A dagger is barely visible underneath her shirt. She is very cut up and bloodied, but seems like someone who is used to it. Arina's first impulse is to curse.Glass. Ugh. Those are injuries now.

It does not take any detailed observation to recognize the woman nearby was not the one talking to me. "You seem to have missed it. Therefore, I will warn you again. It would be in your best interests to leave my child's girlfriend alone." Harsh Threat Instant If a player would draw a card this turn, instead that player loses one life. Light magic begins to mend Arina's wounds. Meanwhile, Hyle turns to Mattol and attempts to freeze him from the inside. Just to be sure, she also draws her sword and goes to stab him through the throat.
Also Congregate targeting Arina I take a step back. Okay, don't panic. Think. I don't know an Agahia. Maybe it's a bluff. Or maybe it's her. I open my mouth to make some excuse when miss Nisita planeswalks in, getting shredded by... something in the process. Okay. Maybe don't planeswalk out yet. Ice starts closing miss Nisita's cuts. Hyle charges at Mattol and I hide behind miss Nisita. I shout as Mattol bursts into flames, but he doesn't seem to mind.
It all slows down. Spell after spell after spell after spell is thrown, interacting in ways never meant to be. Motions and swirls of mana hung in the air. You've got one chance. This time. This time no one dies.
Hyle's sword starts moving again. A telekinetic nudge pushes her out of the way of Mattol and the oncoming flames. The healing ice copies itself to Mattol, doing whatever small thing it could do to sate the flames. It was little more than a cantrip. After all, what difference could a child make?Child's Eyes Instant If you or a teammate would draw a card this turn, that player may gain 3 life instead. Draw a card. Ominous Assistance blows up Judgement (Mattol is safe...ish), Karina, Hyle, and Arina are able to gain 9 life rather than lose 3 and are safe. Mattol's GTFO is rebuffed by Simple Facts, but he still loses 1 life from Harsh Threat. And it's up to the Ominous if he and Mattol take the 3 life blastback from Ominous Assistance :3 Unless, of course, Mattol would like to switch sides... Simple Facts - Needs to remove damage, otherwise when a creature gets marked with lethal damage you just draw your deck and die. Not counting for that it's k tho. 8/10 Ominous Assistance - Really neat, not sure this should be instant tho. 9/10

cajun WindyDelcarlo Neottolemo Lady Mapi Chaos. We admit, We do not know our own end goal. The perfect opportunity for our machinations. Mattol's blaze rages on. The efforts of the child. A gust of wind brushes against the back of Karina's neck, and whispers to her. That spear is still a liability, however. Watch us, Aiden. How does it feel to be helpless? Is this what is it is like to be blinded? To be blind, like so many on this plane?Another gust across her legs.Curious indeed."You are but a vessel for Kirino. She never wanted you. Your very own name is in question."I'm sorry, Amy.Whispers of Maddening Guilt Enchantment If an opponent would gain life, that player loses that much life instead. : Target player gains 3 life. (I think I rate everyone but ame here, and if I don't just ignore the ratings) Harsh Threat: One black to deny draw at all and deal damage. Cast during upkeep or untap to prevent winning at all if ahead on board. It's either win-more or kinda useless. Maybe if it was in addition to drawing could it cost and be . 6/10. Judgement of the Frozen Hell: Long name buddies Deals with creatures and the like with activated, but not with anything with a triggered/static ability. Fair 'nough. 9/10. Child's Eyes: Doesn't feel like it'd be used outside of niche situations like these, and drawing is almost always better than 3 life. Appreciate the idea though, replacing one resource with another. 7/10.

"The real fight? The real fight! I bet that's what you told yourself when you dropped a mountain on poor Oblay, wasn't it? Or when you nearly killed Reyhsia for telling you you weren't an orphan? Maybe when your personal beef with a demon killed Sunspear and got children caught in the crossfire? Or maybe just now, when you cratered that bakery? Was all that in service to 'the real fight?'"Aylin's face contorts into its usual grimace."Poor Oblay? Poor Oblay?!?! You're right, I shouldn't have thrown a mountain on her, I should have let her use her magic to take over the entire Arena and destroy us all. Aiden, on the other hand, died by his own choices, I never told him to come help me, he made a choice and payed the price! And the demon had a beef with me, not the other way around, but hey, if you were so mad at the consequences of me facing the demon, why was he hiding in the statues you built?! The 7CI guy and me fought him together, that was the real fight, we actually did something, rather than just hide behind a bakery and attack people from a distance while playing dumb. You consider yourself someone who fights the real fight? Great, then, prove it right now!"A circle of stones surrounds both women and shoots upward, trapping them both in a cone made out of stone. The figure immediately collapses, causing rocks to fall onto both of them with enough momentum to break more than a few bones. Sevid's eyes go wide as the rocks fall. The Atlas couldn't move those. The map floats as one hand snaps to her position and another to a lonely corner of the Arena. Aylin may feel the rumblings as a column of lead rolls into position beneath the ground. Stone coated in shining metal pulls itself from the ground over the elf and wards off the falling rocks. Platinum Protection Instant Your life total can't change this turn. Any goodwill that was still left on the elf's face has vanished. One finger rests on the map as she sneers at Aylin. "I didn't hide any demons anywhere. I told you. I'm just a humble map witch."
"I just have a very good map."// Sevid's finger slides up the map, ramming an angled pillar of lead into Aylin at a ridiculous speed Bunny Buster Instant Return target spell or permanent to its owner's hand. Bunny Buster deals damage to that player equal to that spell or permanent's converted mana cost. "They've got a giant indestructible rabbit!" Lucien said incredulously. "Not for long they don't." Sevid grinned.(aiming at the "Aylin planeswalker" not the spell)
upgrade to Shard Volley, seems a pretty fun way to do it tho. 9/10 Platinum Protection: I wonder if this could afford to cost less, guess we'll never know. 9/10. Bunny Buster: consider my bunnies busted, super cool, clean effect. 9/10. The pillar falls on Aylin so fast she barely has time to shield herself. With a dull thud, the momentum of the pillar shoots her backwards and she lands gracelessly on her back. She stands up, parts of her body slightly bruised, and laughs. "Where was that all this time?!" she asks ecstatic "If you had all that power at your disposal why did you waste it on statues?!" as the gleam on the Gem of Allure fades, she recalls the witch's last words "So you have 'a very good map', huh? I'm a bit skeptical... show me what that map of yours can do!"Begin the Showdown Instant Add X mana in any combination of and , where X is equal to the total life you've lost this turn. A Rakdos spectacle doesn't end with the shed of blood, it begins with it.(I canonically have a 5 CMC Aylin so I'm using that one here. I add 5 mana and Call for Aid Demanding Dragon and attack you with it. Yes, super convoluted, but it's the only way I figured to defend and attack at the same time )

I'm a bit skeptical... show me what that map of yours can do!" Sevid sighs. Maybe roughing this kid up will finally get her out of my hair. Not here though. She makes another motion on the map. The world behind her seems to rush away from Aylin as the barren earth shifts to pull the two women away from the nearby buildings. On the ground in front of Aylin, the soil starts turning black and glassy, leaving two obsidian words as its stops. Last Chance.Sevid Fese, Map Witch Legendary Planeswalker - Sevid [+2]: Choose a basic land type. Create a colorless basic land token of the chosen type. [-3]: Return target nonland permanent to its owner's hand. Until the end of that player's next turn, spells they cast cost more to cast. [-10]: You get an emblem with "Whenever a player spends mana, you gain that much life." [4]
bounce the dragon and make it harder to recast and/or gain the life off the mana spent to cast it
Begin the Showdown - hrm. Weird. Usually only going to get appreciable amounts on opp's turn where its harder to spend. Kinda suspect this is bad in the fair use and busted in the abuse cases. 6/10

Sevid Fesse, Map Witch: really like that + and ultimate abilities. 9/10. Aylin reads the words written in obsidian.Last chance to show her what I'm made of, I guess she thinks. If Sevid isn't lying and the map is actually the secret to her power, Aylin wants to see the full extent of the artifact's capabilities. After being hit by the pillar she has lost some energy, but she's going to use what she can to learn more about this thing. As she works on complex bodily and hand motions, a huge ring of earth rises around both women, inside the ring, hundreds of statues of Malextros rise, and the earth begins splitting in many places. At the same time, spikes begin rising haphazardly all around. To top it all off, Aylin violently stops on the ground, causing the whole place to shake. Hopefully Sevid will realize all the chaos is contained to this Arena and she won't get angry at her again. Or maybe she will, and that will cause her to become more violent towards the geomancer (and consequently more fun).
Let me see what you can do thinks Aylin proudly, expecting to see just what exactly the Atlas of Worlds can do.Force the Hand Sorcery Target opponent reveals their hand. You choose an instant or sorcery card from it. That player casts that card without paying its mana cost. Targets for that spell are chosen at random.

Let me see what you can do thinks Aylin proudly, expecting to see just what exactly the Atlas of Worlds can do. Excellent, she thinks as walls ring around the two. Her hand rings around the arena on the Atlas, locking them and the ground outside them. Her ears twitch as she picks up on the spikes firing seeming at random. She draws another lock circle around her, then watches as spikes and the statues and the fissures make their ruckus. She stumbles a bit at the stomp, then begins a show of her own. A circle of earth smooths out around Aylin, then calmly rises up as a column among the chaos, giving Aylin a bird's eye view of her display. Across from her, Sevid stood on a similar column, poking at her map. She looks up to Aylin with a grin, then says a single word above the din. "Lava."The spikes and statues melt away as the soil within the arena turns to boiling lava. The walls and Sevid's pillar hold firm against the heat. Aylin's pillar begins to sink. Lavaclasm Sorcery Each opponent chooses a number. Lavaclasm deals damage to each opponent equal to their chosen number, and that player sacrifices all but that many permanents at random.
It's the ultimate punisher. Will you choose pain, or pain? Force the Hand - Not being able to back out of this makes it really bleh to use. Kind of a worse Redirect at the best of times. 6/10

Lavaclasm: Now that is a cruel, cruel spell. I like this twist on Choice of Damnations and would never like to be on the receiving end of this bad boy. 10/10. "Now that is one powerful map!" exclaims Aylin with a lustful smile, screaming it loud enough so that Sevid can hear it (although given the chaos that surrounds her, her words might be lost) "You're a cheater, you know that?" she adds, although she sounds delighted rather than angry "You simply do a minimum effort and your artifact takes care of the hard work! But that makes you an actual challenge, and I enjoy a good challenge!"As her pillar sinks, Aylin is forced to think fast. Her first instinct is to shake the earth underneath the lava pit and causing it to erupt, but that would be too chaotic and would make all of Sevid's accusations be true. She feels the need to prove that she can overcome the challenge without haphazardly endagering the people and the world that surrounds her. She has to prove she is in control of her own power!Tapping into her energy reserves, she begins to cast a massive containment spell. The ring begins to retract towards the ground, covering the lava. As she irradiates a red aura, the earth that surrounds the pool of fire begins to seep into it, isolating it into tinier pools. These pools, in turn, begin slowly filling with earth, the lava going slightly overboard but being immediately put out by massive heaps of ground. As the tiny pools of lava are snuffed out, the entire arena becomes a boiling crust of steaming earth, but now Aylin's back in her element. She can work with it.Containment Zone

Sevid raises an eyebrow, then makes a motion on the map. A roof of rock cuts across the walled off Arena above Aylin's head, blocking off the still-airborne water. The ground around Aylin smooths itself back to the way it had before they arrived. The rock layer retracts back into the walls, now sinking into the ground alongside Sevid's column. Once everything is back the way it started, Sevid turns her hand like a key over the map. Aylin will find it difficult to geomance further at this location. The elf looks up to Aylin, but doesn't say anything. Quell Instant Choose a color. Until end of turn, spells of the chosen color can't be cast, activated abilities from a source of the chosen color can't be activated, and creatures of the chosen color can't attack. Strategic Surrendering - Dece Donate. 9/10

Quell: Cool way to work around the card. Neat take on a silence effect. 9/10.
Aylin is now faced with her worst enemy. Not Sevid or the Atlas of Worlds, but silence. She decides she needs to be the one who breaks it, or else the mocking voices will return. "Whatever that thing is, it's powerful... more powerful than I am!" she begins "I don't know what I did that caused you to raise the Malextros statues, I don't know the motivation behind having him inside one of them, and I no longer care. To be honest, the fact that you didn't come at me with something stronger when you had that map by your side offends me more than the other incidents..." she adds with a joyless chuckle "When I started searching for you I thought you were another geomancer, but you've proven to be more than that, and that pisses me off. I know I'm not match for your relic, and this is why I promise, both to you and to myself, that some day I will be. "I'd offer you compensation for thrashing your place, but like I said, that's payment for the statues and besides, if you had that much power and didn't use it to stop me that makes me think you didn't want to." She pauses, then exhales slowly. "You have proven to be a worthy opponent and given me enough thrills for me to be grateful. Not only that, you've inspired me to grow even stronger. I will leave you be for the time being but I will not stay idle. I will train and better myself day after day, and the time will come when I'm powerful enough that I can take you and your map on and be the one who rises victorious. I look forward to that day, Sevid Fese, I hope you do to" she finishes in a surprisingly non-hostile tone (one might even argue it sounds slightly friendly).

"I do not, no." The maps floating around her start rolling themselves up and tucking themselves into her bag. "What you did to cause those statues was cause so much collateral damage I couldn't turn my back to it anymore. I wanted to run you off without having to do this directly." She starts walking towards Aylin. "I don't suppose you've met the little orphan girl in the red hat who's been running around, have you? Reyhs said she was doing her best to make sure you two didn't cross paths."
"That little girl was the victim of mind control for months, and the only person who saw through it and offered her any help was one Kirino Oblay. A woman she was forced to watch die after you hunted her down."
"She finally gets herself free, tries to live a normal life again. Gets herself adopted by the Sunspear guy. Gets herself caught in the crossfire of demon fight and nearly killed. Loses her new dad after only a few days when he succumbs to his injuries of that fight."
"She's not the only one you've hurt here. And this probably isn't the first time you've done this, is it?"

Little orphan girl in a red hat? thinks Aylin as she ponders. The description is vague, but she does have one or two memories of someone fitting that description wandering around in the Arena, maybe even with Hannah, but she doesn't recall meeting her directly. There is a sort of vestigial memory of them interacting, as though that interaction belonged to an alternative universe or a deleted timeline, but Aylin knows that never happened.Erased Moment Sorcery Exile target creature. Search its controller's graveyard, hand, and library for a card that shares a creature type with that creature and exile it. Then that player shuffles their library. "Funny, I could've sworn there was a timeline where we met face to face..."Aylin kneels down and grabs a stone, her body language indicating as clearly as possible that she isn't trying anything funny. She then aims at a random location and throws the rock as far as possible. With her natural strength and a bit of geomantic prowess, the projectile rockets towards the horizon, disappearing from sight in mere seconds. "I can't tell what that rock will do now" begins Aylin "All I did was throw it away, whether it'll land without causing any trouble or whether it'll hurt someone or something, I don't know, but whatever that stone does before it lands, I'm responsible for it. Every action has consequences, Sevid, every step I take sets fate in one direction and I have no way of telling what the outcome will be, so I can't be worrying about every single decision I make... "I fought Kirino but I didn't kill her" she pauses for a second, it hurts her to admit what she's about to say "To all intents and purposes, what I did wasn't relevant enough for her downfall. She made certain decisions and that brought me and others against her, she paid for the consequences of her actions, if she'd focused on helping the girl instead of hurting others, the outcome might've changed. "The same applies to Aiden. I didn't ask him to come to me, I didn't beg for help to bring the demon down, I was ready to die, but he chose to fight Malextros, he chose to follow us to that pit and died because he did what he believed was right. The demon came after me, but I didn't invite him over, and if that hadn't happened here it would've happened elsewhere instead, and somebody else would've suffered from it. We're planeswalkers, collateral damage follows us wherever we travel... "I'm not sorry for the things I did here, but I am sorry that she had to pay the price for some of them, but she's not the only one who's been hurt, and I can guarantee that some day her actions and even yours will end up hurting an innocent person." She pauses, then turns to leave. "Like I said, it's been a pleasure fighting you, and I'll prepare for the day where I can defeat your map. Don't worry, though, I'll make sure that fight takes place somewhere nobody else can get hurt..."

"True, you can't stop all your consequences. But you can always do better. Can do fewer things likely to have terrible results like sending a dangerous projectile over the horizon for no reason." At Aylin's next step, her foot and leg sinks deep into the earth as a tiny sinkhole fails. "Or maybe I should do it your way and stop worrying about any decision I make. Maybe I could fill that pit with lava. I couldn't tell what it would do, after all."Mocking Reversal Instant Gain control of target instant or sorcery spell. You may copy that spell. You may choose new targets for that spell and the copy. Eradicate so guess its fine. 8/10

Mocking Reversal: cool Wild Ricochet variant. 9/10. "You're right, I can do better, and I'm trying to, or else a ton more people would've gotten hurt in the process of me finding you and during our brawl. The time may come when I can fight a murderous demon without endagering others, but until then, all I can do is hit as hard as I can with minimum casualties."Aylin taps into the leylines and raises the earth that swallowed her feet."Here's to hoping we never meet again, but if we do, know I'll be prepared" she finishes as she walks away.Calamities to Come Sorcery Target player may sacrifice any amount of permanents. ~ deals X damage to that player, where X is 20 minus the total converted mana cost of permanents sacrificed this way. Damage dealt this way can't be prevented.

And now the kid's gotta make sure no one dies :3 I take a step back.
9/10 I looked down at my burning-yet-freezing body, and sighed. The glass on the ground vibrated until a loud chime pealed out, cleansing me of magic.
"You know, ladies, there's no need to be hasty." I blinked, and tiny pinpricks scratched lightly at the insides of Arina's and Hyle's throats and lungs, before sublimating back to dust. "If I wanted Karina dead full stop, we wouldn't be having this conversation."
I turned back to Karina.
"So, tell me about this girlfriend of yours. What's she like?"Chime of Reduplication - Instant : Add or . , : Copy target spell with a single target for each permanent you control that that spell could target. Each copy targets a different one of those permanents. (Copying Simple Facts, because otherwise Mattol is dead.) Harsh Threats ( WindyDelcarlo) : There's a reason other draw replacers specify that they don't work on the first card from draw steps - this is a pure griefing card for a discard deck, especially if you figure out a way to recur it consistently. Heck, don't even bother with discard - murder the opponent with your Sign in Bloods, why not? Honestly this is a pretty gross card. 6/10Judgement of the Frozen Hell ( Neottolemo) : I like the name, though it would shrink a bit on the card. I also like the design - much like you said, it's a more aggressive Detention Sphere. On the one hand, it locks down things that enter the battlefield after the fact. On the other, it's vulnerable to indestructible stuff. My only real complaint is that destroying things feels off for - I'd prefer to see bounce or exile, really. 8/10Child's Eyes: Heh, cute design. This is actually pretty nice sideboard tech against some aggressive mill decks (anyone who tries to finish you off by generating stupid amounts of mana and forcing you to draw that many cards comes to mind), or as a stalling tactic in some weird self-mill deck (though I question why you haven't won if you've burnt through your whole library)... but other than that? This thing's niche. 8/10--- And now you can rate gurfafflekins' card, cajun.

Arina looks flatly at the man. She is not channeling any spells, nor reaching for her dagger, but her muscles are tensed as if she is ready to do so.
(I.e. no mechanical response because Karina is not actively being threatened, and also I felt like it should probably be noted that Arina has not actually made an aggressive motion, just "suggestions" that Mattol shouldn't hurt the child.)
