Velo stopped in terror, seeing the woman's hand reach towards them. Impending Strike - This looks like it could be a solid counterspell for mono-blue tempo decks, since it replaces itself while protecting your creatures and doesn't cost too much. It also works well flavorfully, and I like that it gives the user an advantage in addition to blocking the spell. A solid 9/10.
