Serafaël, Disowned Objector Art by David Haney. "I worked for the greater good once. Now I know that no good is great enough to justify small evils."
Colors: (2 points) CMC Level: 4 (4 points) Type Mastery: Artefact, Creature, Instant (3 points) Multicolor Level: 1 (1 points) Advanced Keywords: None Perks: None Call for Aid Sets: M10-M19 Mana Available: 15/15 Valor:12 Score:12 Skill Points Available/Spent: 0/10 When the Heavens went to war, Serafaël was among the first to enlist. Only after decades of countless horrors did Serafaël ask his superiors why they were at war. Stripped of his immortality and cast out of the Heavens in response, Serafaël now tries to protect his fellow mortals from the folly of Heaven, Hell, and everything in between. If he cannot be angel, he will be something even better: a good man. (Text color: b8b454) I'm ready to try this out. Please tell me if I made any mistake in my character sheet.

collex A man walks towards the fallen angel, a beard accenting his gruff face, and a young dragon is wrapped around his neck, looking directly at the man. This one smelled of war - iron and blood, and also smelled of the familiar aroma of the sky. "Greetings." he says. "Who are you?" the man seems neutral and emotionless, and the dragon is curious.Curious Dragon Creature - Dragon Flying At the beginning of your upkeep, you may look at the top card of your library. If it's an artifact card, you may cast it without paying its mana cost. 3/3

"Greetings as well to you and your companion. I am Serafaël, and these day I'm nothing more than wandering do-gooder, I'm afraid. Presently, I'm looking from a little girl who disappeared from a nearby village last week. Would you like to help? Your companion's sense of smell would be most useful." Benevolent Recruitment Instant Gain control of target creature an opponent controls with power 3 or less until end of turn. Untap that creature and put a +1/+1 counter on it. It gains haste until end of turn. Curious Dragon -- A Galvanoth for artifacts. Nice, clean design, if not particularly original. Well, I say it's unoriginal, but I was surprised to find that this ability does not exist yet in the game. 9/10. By the way, thanks for jumping in! Sorry for the delay, DnD night last night. Edit: I was told to ping the person I was responding to, so ping! gurfafflekins

A slight breeze ruffles through the angel's feathers. After a short while, he gets the strange feeling that he is being watched.
You Are Not Alone Scheme When you set this scheme in motion, create a token that's a copy of target nonland permanent an opponent controls.

Sensing danger, Serafaël's right hand automatically reach for his sword, but stops himself. Internally cursing his soldier's instincts, Serafaël lift his left hand instead and make it glow with divine light. He cannot brighten the surrounding as much as he used to, but it should suffice. "Who goes there? Show yourself."
Revealing Light Instant Choose a creature or enchantment you control. Exile all other creatures that shares a name with it. The light of heavens reveal shadows for what they are: nothing. You Are Not Alone I've never played with scheme, so I don't really know how to judge them. I like that it implies some sort of evil twin or doppelganger, without being on the nose about it. However, looking up Schemes online, there is an existing Scheme that does the exact same thing: Ignite the Cloneforge!. I am new to this game, so I have no idea if you can do that. For now, I'll assume you can or that you didn't know it already existed and give you an 8/10 for it.

collex Benevolent Recruitment: Compared to Act of Treason, even with the power-capping clause, the fact you're yoinking at instant speed at common is an issue. Also, this could easily not be white, and I don't think it being two colors would fix any sort of "too cheap" issue with it. 5/10. Bell looked at the man and raised an eyebrow. So quick to trust. Which gave him reason to believe it was a trick. "Afraid not." is all he says. Callie looks at him in disbelief before taking off from her perch, flying in her companion's face and giving a disapproving bark, before turning to the fallen angel and flying around him, before landing at his feet and looking up at him curiously, with her head cocked to the side.Stand Strong Instant Target permanent you control gains hexproof and indestructible until end of turn. "Stand tall, stand strong. It's not your time." - Elven encouragement

(can assume you or one of your implied teammates has legendaries to exile) Revealing Light - hm. White's suspect here (creature removal) and think this is overcosted? since it's more likely to kill your own stuff than anything else. Does its job tho 7/10

You gain 1 life for each permanent exiled this way. At the sight of the ghostly hand, Serafaël's heart ached. He recognized that hand. One of the many victims of war he should have helped, but did not, blinded as he was by his orders. His left hand stopped shining and went to the golden chain across his neck. From the chain hanged various trinkets - wedding rings, praying beads, animal teeth, rabbit paws and other charms, each one taken from a life gone by his inaction. Its weight reminded him constantly of the people he was atoning for, helping him focus and prepare his next move whenever evil forces tried to distract him. Traumatic Keepsake Artefact Whenever a permanent you control leaves the battlefield, put a memory counter on Traumatic Keepsake. , Sacrifice Traumatic Keepsake: Search your library for a non-land card with converted mana cost equal to the number of memory counters on Traumatic Keepsake and put it into your hand. Shuffle your library. (I think I can make new counters without a perk, right? If not, just replace "memory counters " with "charge counters". If I can't use charge counters either, just let me know.) Where Is Your God Now?
Again, not the best at evaluating scheme, but this seems to be a nice one. If I have one criticism, it's that it isn't the most intuitive. It took me a moment of thinking to get the link between the name and the mechanic. 9/10 Also, this is not to argue with the score you gave my previous card, but "Exile creature and enchantment" is a thing White has gotten a few times - usually at sorcery speed ( Angelic Edict, Iona's Judgment) and once at instant speed ( Blessed Light). Again, not trying to get my score increased, cause that's a no-no. Just letting you know, because knowledge is three-sixth of the battle!

"Stand tall, stand strong. It's not your time." - Elven encouragement While the man seemed stand-offish and somewhat paranoid, his draconic companion was anything but. Serafaël smiled and kneel towards the creature. He pats the dragon gently on the on the head, causing the beast to purr in contentment. "Well, as I said, I mostly need your companion's help, and he seems more amenable to it. If you agree to help me, I can make it both worth your while," says the angel, offering the dragon of few delicious gold coins. Beneficial Negotiations Instant Prevent all damage that would be dealt to this turn. All players create a colorless artifact token named Gold. It has "Sacrifice this artifact: Add one mana of any color." Stand StrongSo Heroic Intervention but at a single target. Not bad at all, but common at that costs feels a little risky to me for Limited. I'd see it more as an uncommon. 8/10

Serafaël, at least for now, is left alone with his thoughts. Traumatic Keepsake - is quite nice, think it can get away with costing (or maybe even but maybe that's the Archenemy talking). 9/10
ye, memory counters are fine here. Schemes are certainly tricky to evaluate. Want to keep in mind that they're more or less sorceries (or temporary enchantments if Ongoing) that should feel fair or fun for a 4v1. Also, that's the only type this character has so :b for white creature removal, its more a thing that's white's not really "supposed" to do, but sometimes needs for limited (which is why everything you linked there are expensive limited removal spells)

collex Beneficial Negotiations: I like the flavor, but it's a little weird. Firstly, it would be "Each player creates...", but that's a minor nitpick. Secondly, "prevent all damage that would be dealt to this turn" doesn't make any sense, but if this means prevent all combat damage, then this is pretty alright, even with the "downside" of the Gold. If it means prevent all damage, then it would be pretty good as it would be a fog + the white eidolon that makes you hexproof for two mana. Finally, it doesn't really respond to my card except that it can prevent the damage the hexproof/indestructible creature would deal, but that's kind of a stretch, or also providing the Gold to cast it (because it cost ), so I'll give that the benefit of the doubt. 6/10. Idea was good, execution was underwhelming. Bell's face remains stoic, at least until Callie shoots him a sharp look after being pet. At that, he rolls his eyes. "Alright. Got something with a scent for her to follow?" he asks, as Callie plays with a gold coin. Bell would take whatever was offered or wait until the mission was complete, whichever the angel decided. "And wherever she goes, I go." he says, stepping forward to close the gap a little.Follow the Scent Sorcery Choose a nonland card name. Search target player's graveyard, hand, and library for any number of cards with that name and exile them. That player shuffles their library, then draws a card for each card exiled from hand this way. "There's no escape, mutt. You're stuck here for the rest of your pitiful life." - The Tormentor
Consider it a gift. (I'm sure you know, but since you're new - you can either make a card that works well with this one, or refuse the gift and defend against it.)
