Welcome to the Card of the Week Contest! To participate in this Contest you'll have to design a card along the contest guidelines and throw it into the arena with other competitors' entries! At the end of each week, a winner will be determined by forum poll. The winner's card will be rendered and featured on the Welcome page, and the winner decides the challenge for the next week's Contest! Here we go, competitors: our two-hundred and sixty-seventh!
The winners of the "Those Damn Pips (Squeak)!" poll were Boogymanjunior (left) and shiftyhomunculus (right) with... And the challenge issued by one of our winners was... My desktop computer, SEKHMET, finally gave up the ghost last week after six years of loyal service. I'd like you all to honor her memory, and ensure that her sacrifice was not in vain, by designing a card that uses artifacts as fuel somehow. That could involve tapping them, sacrificing them, discarding them, exiling them - but it does not include effects like affinity and metalcraft that simply want you to have artifacts around. You gotta use them!
Additionally, please try to keep your entry edits all in one post - if you need to change it you can put your old entry in a spoiler marked "Old entry" and leave the newest rendition to be seen. sdfkjgh Perhaps it's an activated ability? Ghost Rider can tap to make target creature deal damage to itself equal to its regret? I just meant as in the art. Of course Gohst Rider would have 1 power, deathtouch and whenever it deats combat damage to a player, that player's life total becomes 1. |

I don't think the mana cost needs to be any higher, since you have to sacrifice a cookie to get the real good stuff. And cookies are good!But if you don't think cookies are THAT great, feel free to tell me.

 For those wondering, shield 1 occurs for instance of itself. (ie, if the creature sacrifices four artifacts, it gains four instances of shield 1, meaning if it blocks it gets +0/+4 until end of turn.) Additionally, the shield effect lasts indefinitely. The bulwark ability is pretty self explanatory. |

Jartis: You could prolly use Champion an artifact. See Supreme Exemplar for an example (it is a supreme exemplar, after all).

sdfkjgh I'd considered it, but since Champion is a creature keyword, I decided against it. I might do a slight rework, though, to make it not exactly Champion

If it is preferred, I could change Cookie Monsters mana cost to    , so that I properly fulfill the color pie requirements and get the colorless cost up a little. Cookies are powerfull enough on their own, so I wanted the cookie-bonus effect to be strong, but it might have gotten a little too strong for a 2 drop...

It feels like your entry would be a more cohesive whole if instead of straight up 187* draw, you changed it to 187 investigate.
*187-"When ~ enters the battlefield," early Magic slang, stemming from Nekrataal and police code for homicide.
