Hi Cajun, a question about Planeswalker Mainframe. I'm encountering problems creating a custom mask; even trying to make a modification to one of your templates using Paint, as you said in the post, created ad invalid image that MSE doesn't render. This is probably because every time I save any modifications on your templates Paint warns me that is going to cancel every form of transparency from the original file. Your templates are loaded corrently with no other option check other than "Options specific to this card" and "Default Image Size: NO" as you can see in the attachments. Attachment DeletedI tried to use other programms like Piskel to remove white pixels with transperent ones but it didn't matter, at this point I don't think that's even the problem. I tried to place custom images in the same "cajun" folder to make sure they work but they didn't. I've also checked if they are .png files and all checks out. Am I missing something? Edit: I've managed to create masks following your emblem framework tutorial using GIMP 2.10.6; I've made an emblem mask and a Planeswalker mask (coloring with white instead or black). I have 2 questions: 1) Is it normal that I have to copy the GIMP layer and paste it into a paint file otherwise it won't work?; 2) What resolution the input image needs to be in order to be precise? I resized them to 345x493 and gave me problems with the emblem being too small and problems with the planeswalker since the template should have another line of pixels on the sides (to explain myself, this is what I came up with trying to make the hand breaking the border) Attachment Deleted

1) Is this only because of file type? GIMP can export to jpg and png.
2) Should be 375x523 assuming you aim to mask the whole card.

Well, I tried changing resolution but now the image is in a different resolution than the template.. moving the image layer didn't change the fact that the last pixel line is still missing.. the template is standard 345x493, so I don't think it should be different. I also have issues with emblems, no matter how I position the image it still in the wrong position after I finish the mask.. the one I've made was repositioned manually to fit the template and even then it gives this warning message everytime I load the mask and everytime I load the entire set on MSE: Attachment Deleted

AmaroThis is fine, the mask is a black and white image and doesn't need transparency. Make sure you're saving as .png and not as .xcf default size planeswalkers: 324x427 wider images planeswalkers: 345x493 emblems: 375x463 For best results import the image, then copy it out of MSE and into gimp, this will make it the proper dimensions for masking/snipping. If you're wanting to image break outside those bounds you need to use the popout art rather than the masks.

Even without transparency it doesn't load properly but it's not an issue anymore, because saving as .png works fine now, also thanks for the resolutions.
Last question: how do I apply blur to the layer black pixels using GIMP? Is there any Anti-Aliasing configurations?

Begone demon! Thanks to the help of bagz we have been able to track down the source of this obnoxious bug and fix it. The download links have been updated and there is a patch here for those that already have it. Unzip that and move the magic-m15-mainframe-dfc folder into your MSE/data folder, it'll overwrite four images and the bug shall finally be dispelled.

Hi Cajun!
First of all, thank you so much for not only making frames for all the new stuff WotC puts out but making existing frames smarter and easier to use with the Mainframe technology. That's probably the best thing that's happened to me as a card designer in the last couple of years.
Now about the problem I've had: When using M15 Mainframe, everything works properly except the flavor bar which simply doesn't show up. I've tried different values for the flavor bar offset (between 50 and -50) and also tried the d/u values but nothing makes the flavor bar show up. Any idea why this might be?

I can't seem to find the Mainframe DFC template no matter how much I look for it after downloading it. Is it under another template? I'm very confused here.

Popcornia check your mse/data folder for a folder named MainframeDFC. If its in there, you need to move its contents into the data folder directly.

Popcornia check your mse/data folder for a folder named MainframeDFC. If its in there, you need to move its contents into the data folder directly. I found the file magic-m15-mainframe-dfc.mse-style. However, moving the contents from this file into the data folder itself caused MSE 2 to crash when I went to change styles. I have it in here, but it doesn't show up anywhere when I got to select styles. Only M15 - DFC and M15 Mainframe. It has all the mainframe templates except DFC.

magic-m15-mainframe-dfc.mse-style k well here's your new problem. If you had magic-m15-mainframe-dfc then you're probably just not seeing it on the Style ribbon.

Hi Cajun!
Thanks for doing so much work on putting upgrades in Mainframe, it's made my design work so so much easier. I have a small request if you have the spare time:
I was wondering if it would be easy to incorporate a leveler back side into the Mainframe DFC template. I am thinking of a design that uses a front side as a non-leveler creature and a back side as a leveler creature, but I think my current option is to make two separate cards so that I can make each the right type.
If it's not simple, I can go ahead with making separate cards. Just wasn't sure if this was a platform limitation, or just that no one had made this request before.
Thanks again!
EDIT: Also I feel really dumb, but I can't figure out how to add custom transform icons. I see the options for putting in a file path in the Style tab, but when I try to select the icon it shows up as a blank white space and a cannot find file error. What's the correct place / path / format to set up the custom transforms?

I can't figure out how to add custom transform icons. Save your images to "magic-mainframe-extras.mse-include" as pngs, preferably in a specialized folder named for you. In your set file, create a Mainframe DFC card and go to the Style tab. In Custom One and Custom Two, write the address to your card from within magic-mainframe-extras, for example my addresses are "cajun/comedy.png" and "cajun/tragedy.png". This will apply to each Mainframe DFC card that doesn't have the "options specific to this card" box checked at the time. On your DFCs, you can now select those images by clicking the transform node and choosing Custom One and Custom Two. levelers are a messy frame that i do want to work into mainframe eventually but is gonna take some time.

Is there any way to create a planeswalker token of some sort? Perhaps one 'normal' and one that includes that altered token-copy top-frame in case I wanted to try to portray Jace, Cunning Castaway's token copies of himself better?
Something that'd look more like a walker from typeline down, but a token above.
Not really sure how that'd work.

Hey guys is there a way to remove those blank spots on the edges please? You can do this with ImageMagick:
convert werwerwer.jpg -shave 12x12 -bordercolor black -border 12 werwerwer2.jpg

Cajun, a big thank you for all your work on these templates, they really are amazing. I've gone from 50+ templates to pretty much just using yours (plus some botched custom combinations of yours with others). I notice that in the Mainframe directory (m15 altered) there is an empty subfolder for Planeshifted, is this something you are looking at adding in the future? How about full art background option (as per Planeswalker template) for the other mainframe Templates? (Or should I keep trying to improve my personal botched attempts at these? )

Guys, where do we put the font files please? do I put "Magic - Cajun Style Fonts" inside Data? or should I put the FONTS inside that folder in Data? Neither. You need to open the .ttf files and hit their install buttons. Drokken planeshifted will likely find it's way there in the future. Full art less likely.

Is there any chance that you might be updating the Mainframe Splits template to match Guilds of Ravnica (and Guild Kit: Izzet's Turn//Burn)

Exporter UpdateUpdated the Lackey, Planesculptors, and Cockatrice exporters with the !exportname function. Adding "!exportname Name" to a card's notes will cause the exporter to use Name instead of the card's normal name, for example !exportname Clue2 for multiple token arts, !exportname Boros Guildgate2 to add additional copies of a card, and !exportname Sarpadian Empires Vol VII to work around special characters/text formatting. cardz5000 M15 Splits by Pichoro here has it set up already. Will probably get the mainframe one updated eventually but is low on the to do list.

Greetings Cajun,
similar to the DFC levelers question, are there any plans on adding sagas to the DFC Mainframe? I saw on the first post that the "to-do" list seems already quite full.
I really appreciate all your hard work on those card templates. Having all those possibilities makes MSE much more fun to use.
