1) The way MSE is set up is that there is a Default template, and then cards can be put on templates other than the Default. What Use for all cards does is change the Default template to whatever the current template is, anything that was using a special frame will either have to get changed manually or by editing the set file.
2) Not sure what you mean by TBD Full art lands, just the showcase treatment or something else?
OK, as for: 1) Thanks...I think I understand now. Most of the cards in the large 400+card file were on one M15 template, so hopefully it will change over most of those (with the exception of the DFC, lands, tokens). However, I tried to open the file using my updated MSE install and now MSE simply freezes/"not responding", so I can't open it any longer. Will try a couple of things (maybe opening in an old install with just the new Mainframe added in order to convert over first). 2) I just mean the "standard" full art lands that were one per each TBD booster: as here and here. Bonus question for you: Is there a way to have the card numbers start at X instead of 1? I saw there is a way to turn the auto numbering off, but I don't think a way to start at an arbitrary number...the idea here would be to keep the number continuous and consistent through a set, but be able to break up a very large set into multiple files (say one for all W cards, one for B, etc.). Thanks again! 1) is probably missing templates. make sure you've got all the templates it uses in your MSE/data folder. If you think they do, or aren't sure what they would be, upload the file somewhere and i can crack it open to find out what it's using
2) no plans to do those those rn edit: apparently silverback has got your back
3) uh, not a difficult script but a rare one.
would anyone else use the card number increase option?

If the DFC card faces are getting a face lift, could it include the not-dark version of flip walkers for back faces? Setting the DFC back face to normal back face uses the front face, with the indentation on the placewalker card face and the p/t arrow on the basic card face. normal back faces uses whatever the normal face is so yes it would apply to that as well Hey guys! noob here rs First of all, you all are amazing, thanks for the updates! Two minor questios, I think. 1- Is there any Spellbook templates besides Jace's one? I'd really like to use Gideon's framing or Chandra's after it is released. 2- I can't use any number of Chapter Sagas but those 3, unless I create some stuff on Ps there is no plan to do the other spellbooks on my end to use chapters 4-6, keep adding additional coordinates after the first three. those three are set at 600 by default so they're under the card.
I managed the Saga! thx so much Another question guys. How do I export a set file so my friends can open it with MSE on their computer? I only send them the file and it goes as a .rar. Most of the times it crashes and it doesn't open =/ Thanks again for the patience rs

These are looking great silverback! Are you working on some quick code for these or should I try co-opting Cajun's 2020 token codes?

If you could have a quick peak, that would be awesome! I think it should just be the original "m15", m15-DFC, m15-planewalker, m15-devoid, m15-textless lands and tokens: www.dropbox.com/s/f8db3fjovzemo28/IntroDeckSetVer.02.2020beforeReinstall.mse-set?dl=1I had the same idea as well to look inside if I could find a listing, but quickly realized that it was a binary file-type...how are you able to crack it open? One quick thing: when "rebuilding" the MSE folder, is there no problem adding back in old data/ folders or does that not cause some conflicts with scripts/game files?

adding files won't hurt anything as long as you don't overwrite files.
.mse-set files are zip files that hold all the imported images and a text file full of all the card and set data, i'm pulling that out and filtering the relevant data.

Well, this has been amazing...I was beginning to think from something I read here in another post that the set file might just be an archive file that you could extract to look it - thanks! This makes things SO much easier to troubleshoot...I completed the list above of templates you extracted out (yes, I was missing a couple) and voila everything is working now with no console errors when I load the original file (ie: didn't need your patched one). You saved me weeks of unnecessary work on this large set. Now time to port all of the cards over to Mainframe Speaking of that, thanks above for eventually including the new TBD full-art lands in the upcoming template update...I have a bunch of things to work on (new DS9/ENT/TOS intro decks + new planets) before I get to those. A couple of questions leading from me now poking around the "set" file inside the archive (the structure is a lot simpler than I thought and I can easily see the card attributes below + header formatting/set info at the top): 1) I assume the "styling: X" block overrides the default "stylesheet: X" notation situtated just above for the cards that have that applied further down in their individual blocks (card: / stylesheet: X)? 2) Are the extra frames in the styling block that aren't used on the cards anymore frames that were previously added and then changed to something different later on? Why would it save that ancestral state if not applied later on down the card blocks anymore (seems like this is just asking for trouble if those templates become obsoleted/deleted)? 3) Related to 2), if I go in now and delete the old templates I don't want anymore (remove folders in data/) is that going to break this file if the references are still there to them in the header even if no cards in the blocks below use them anymore? I assume the safe thing (perhaps as you did above for my file) is to purge any references in the header to non-used templates/frames?

the extra frames are ones that have been used ye. it keeps the data you had set for it if you switch out of it. hasn't caused any issues that i know of, as you said the issue you had was fully fixed without having to remove them.

Mainframe 2020, pre-2.0.2 patchGoing to start a bit odd here and recommend people stop using the Modal frame on Mainframe, and convert back any they may have converted. MSE will soon be getting a long-awaited code update that will massively simplify indented modals and allow them to use only the single textbox. The old modal code might stay around for a bit just to help not break files, but we will be wanting to switch over to that as quick as we can. And one last time (srsly the next one'll be its own proper thing >.>) if you have not gotten Mainframe 2020 yet, the whole thing can be gotten from here. If you've been keeping up with the patches, you can get just the patch here. • Did a handful of pre-bug fixes for that upcoming new version. • Added the Dominaria FNM Frame from silverback_ape to M15 Mainframe! It currently supports stacking with Leveler, Nyx, Vehicle, Conspiracy, Season, Legend, Mutate, and PUMA frames. • Added the THB Full Art Lands Frame, again from silverback_ape to M15 Mainframe! It is activated by using the Frameless art option with nothing in the textbox. • Added a Text Watermarks option to M15 Mainframe. It replaces the watermark field with a text field that approximates the gray watermark color. (Thanks cyberchronometer !) • Added the Random card and Opening Hand pack types. (Thanks to WindyDelcarlo for the suggestion) • Added a set option to disable the rarity code in a card's set code. (Thanks to ThatDamnPipsqueak and others for the suggestion) • Added a set option to offset automatic card numbers. It accepts two comma-separated numbers ("1,2"). The first increases the starting count, the second increases the total count. (Thanks to Dr.Andre for the suggestion) • With the updates to reminder text, Scry is now a Core keyword. • Added the Vehicle pt image to Mainframe Tokens. • Added Nyx/Vehicle functionality to Mainframe Tokens. • Updated Nyx tokens to use the new Nyx treatment. • Fixed visual bugs with legendary Vehicle tokens and textless tall tokens. • Corrected the blending of colored Nyx artifacts. • Touched up the Nyx and Vehicle masks for planeswalkers and DFC. • Extended the 'right-hand chop' from Mainframe DFC to Mainframe Planeswalkers as well. • Added the "use starting loyalty" option to M15 Mainframe and M15 Sagas. It replaces the PT when used. • Fixed the watermarks on Fusable Splits. • Changed the visibility settings of the copyright fields on the Mainframe suite. Ever clicked a weird invisible box in the copyright area? This was that.
edit: The updated Planeswalker images will get added in time, alongside some sweet new tech that should be coming to MSE soonish!

Possibly replace the M15-Snow texture but that one's still totally fine.

normal back faces uses whatever the normal face is so yes it would apply to that as well I mean this. The only non-Innistrad DFC that flips into a creature, and doesn't have the dark back side is this Transformers promo, but it doesn't have the front face p/t indicator (even tho it can transform back.)

You're a god. Nothing better than waking up and seeing this, feels really good seeing my frames on this! I'm really digging the way you're taking the mainframe template and MSE. EDIT: I might have to make the text box on the FNM Frame a little bit darker. If i do, i'll post it here so you can put on the big update. Also, the black FNM frame with the Nyx borders looks absolutely gorgeous.

Is it possible to transition the stamp overlay from .jpg to .png and deleting the white thing? I feel like it would make it easier for future templates The FNM Template looks like this:

You can follow the changes on github, there's a few visual updates (you can move the card columns around now), some bug fixes (printing dfcs is much less of a mess), Select-All has been added, a way to utilize multiple fonts has been added, being able to search by specific fields has been added, there's been a big update to the data available from the textboxes, so things like the flavor bar and even planeswalker stripes can be fully and flawlessly automated behind the scenes, and the newest thing in the works is a built-in indentation system, which would allow very simple automation of the Modal frame and things like Levelers and Planeswalkers to only use a single textbox instead of the separated levels system they have now.
gonna have to be another round of updates just for all the crazy new stuff we'll be able to do soon :^)

Ah - a GitHub page! Now see, I was just about to offer helping administer a GitHub site for all this great work being done here on MSE, since I felt I should try and do my part after benefitting for so long, but maybe beaten to the punch. We use it quite a lot in our bioinformatics research in order to distribute code/programs, collaborate effectively and keep on top of updates + easy version control. It seems you are hosting the pre-compiled versions, but not the compiled/ready-to-go versions which are found in a collection of websites/reddit posts/forum posts (such as here) - have you guy thought of doing this latter hosting on GitHub also to have everything centralized? What I was envisioning was, for example, cajun or silverback_ape would have his stable "release" version and whomever wanted it could directly "clone" (copy - translating GitHub terms here for those that don't use it) that whole install so that everyone was working on the same exact thing. Both people could work on this same release version that has all the essentials (without their own private projects/data template folders they might not want to share), adding to their respective data/ folders that they are makig changes to. You would have a limited number of members who could "push" changes (edit) the repository (repo), but any others can "watch" the repo and be notified anytime a change is made and then "pull" (download) the latest version whenever they want (and it is efficient in what only the files that have been changed will push to the cloud or pull during the download and so avoids major "total" reinstalls or people messing up partial updates since they got some files wrong)...and in the cases of someone encountering a major error/bug after install of a patch (for example, as we saw above in this thread), it is a simple one-button press to revert your install to just before the last time you "pulled" the update. GitHub was originally created for people using a lot of Linux environment programming (which I do use for work), however now it has a Windows/Mac GUI interface and you therefore don't even have to ever touch the command-line if you don't want to and can handle all your push/pull interactions with GitHub using these nice full-graphics apps (which is actually how I do all interaction with it). For the people editing, such as cajun, the GUI keeps track automatically of every file changed (it is watching the folder you designate as your cloned version) and you would nicely see any files that you have changed on your local version in one window; it even then shows you each line color-coded in its "before" and "after" state in another window so you can easily see what you are uploading to the "release/official" copy online. Similarly, for those simply watching the repo, the GUI tells you which files have been changed compared to your local version when you go to download the latest copy (and also won't interfere with your own private, or otherwise different, data/ folders, hence saving the time backing up/copying those to other locations when you need to do a "full reinstall" of MSE previously when there were problems). All these actions are simply executed with a one-button push or pull. As you'll see from the above GitHub site, there is also the capability for full Wiki-type documentation available in a repo and so you could post there the changelog of what happens (although there is a way to simply note this automatically when you do pushes), instructions, links back to this forum for other packages/data-folders not in the "relese" version, etc. OK, long post, but I just thought I'd throw this out there since I've been thinking about it for a bit and would seem to me to make for a more unified/seemless sharing experience for MSE and would avoid a lot of headaches (and people's lost time) with installs, template problems, etc. I know when I went to get back into MSE now after about a year, but wanting the latest installs/updates, Google searching has you fall upon many different pages of potential installs (between the old Sourceforge site, new ProBoards site, reddit post, etc.) and it wasn't immediately clear where to find the absolute latest version/patchs until I came across a combination of a TBD reddit post and this mainframe thread right here. Let me know what you think...if you want to make a trial run of it OK, conversely if too much overhead for you/too much change for how you operate now, then I'll just keep to the background concentrating on my own card making with your wonderful tools
