blueseclipse The man nods. Though his face is hidden, from his posture he seems grateful. "Thank you Khon Vasq. We knew the Godhead trusted you for a reason." "Many of us have begun their journey north to gather and prepare, but there are still some of us who are heading towards what's left of the city. I cannot personally determine where you should, either group will need just as much protection as the other." The man sighs, before straightening himself, "But, I will admit despite the holiness of us visiting the sight of our former city, the people who could afford to do so in the North likely require you more than we would." {Response Card - Forge with Aether} Thousand-Blade Strike: This wants to be red, and the colorless mana symbols don't really help with that distinction. Cards like Gruesome Slaughter do let your creatures deal damage in colorless, but are for oclorless tribal and not equipment tribal. I like the idea but it needs red or some other color to be really fine with me. 6/10 An interesting concept, though I don't think there's any benefit in this case to creating an equipment token, rather than just giving a creature +3/+3 until your next turn. This is also significantly more expensive than I would expect for what's essentially a red Giant Growth that has a slightly longer duration. Honestly, I think I'd probably like it better as a sorcery so that you could drop the token on an attacker, then switch it to a blocker after combat (at instant speed, you're going to hold it back as a combat trick unless it's giving you lethal) - and even then, it probably would be better just targeting two creatures rather than creating an equipment token. 8/10 because I really do like the concept behind it, even if it just doesn't work for me mechanically.
"Those who may be in the city, or who travel there, will likely have easier ways to seek assistance," Khon muses, considering the options available. "While it may not be ideal, they will only have a sort journey to the outpost for the Eternity Project, should they require immediate assistance. Those heading north will require more direct assistance - I will accompany you there."Mirror of Multitudes Artifact Whenever an opponent creates a token, create a token that is a copy of it. This is a solid common design. However, I can't help but feel like it should be snow (and yes, I know you don't yet have Winterborn - still feels like it should have Snow). 9/10I nod at the man, and reply, "I understand. And rest assured, I can provide more than enough blades to see you and the rest of Rudara's people to your destination." And while I will need to speak with her to finalize payment for my services, I think to myself, that is not for her followers to concern themselves with.Thousand-Blade Strike Instant Tap target equipped creature you control. For each Equipment attached to that creature, you may have it deal damage equal to its power to up to one target creature or planeswalker. This needs a 'cast only on an opponent's turn, before attackers are declared' clause, and needs to specify that it has to be a creature controlled by the player whose turn it is. Otherwise, it's just for instant-speed Draw 2 cards and gain 2 life. 8/10I nod, and reply, "An understandable tactic, particularly if you are significantly outnumbered. However, do you have a plan for confronting her directly? Maintaining a reactive stance may be beneficial in the short term, but it gives her far more advantages over time." Meeting the man's gaze, I say, "I have been led to understand that Lindri's purpose is to wage war, solely to ensure that there is war. Conflict with no goal, and with no end. This is something that I cannot abide - that said, I feel it would be most effective to coordinate my own efforts against her forces with others who are set against her, to ensure that we do not hinder ourselves."Knight of Endless Blades Artifact Creature - Construct Knight Vigilance Whenever Knight of Endless Blades attacks, it attacks all opponents. (Each opponent is considered a defending player when this attacks, and may have creatures block it. Combat damage may be divided as you choose among blocking creatures and players who do not assign blockers against this.)Knight of Endless Blades may block any number of creatures. 10/10 "Good. We're on the same page, then.
We do have a plan. But we can't set it in motion yet. Lindri can stop time with her powers and has a cannon that could likely destroy a small archipelago at full power, though it needs time to recharge afterwards. We have been developing countermeasures. We've already got a device to keep time moving, though we're still working on its stability. We have nothing concrete for the cannon yet."
KoEB: Now that's a mythic. 10/10
No card because I'm planning a thing at my board for later today (that'll probably involve Khon) but we can still continue this scene anyway if you want
"I see... I have faced powerful foes before, though I don't believe I have a tool in my arsenal that would be capable of deterring a blast of such power without preparation on my own part," I respond, considering the possible options. "The ideal solution would be to force her into a situation where she must fire it upwards - it would remove the possibility of collateral damage, and allow the greatest possibility to evade. I am not the most skilled in aerial combat, however..." Khon continues discussing with Heldra, trying to come up with a possible countermeasure for the cannon. No need to continue the scene, just wanted to offer a bit of Khon's thoughts regarding the matter.

blueseclipseThe man nods, and gestures for Khon to venture out of their secluded space. "Very well. I suggest we begin immediately, if you are ready. Once we arrive, it will only be a matter of time until the rest join us. Then we can discuss your payment." {Response Card - Waves of Reinforcements} Mirror of Multitudes: Situational, and it makes most haste-token makes a version of Clone Legion. I'm on the edge about this one, sadly. 6/10

I'm on the edge about this one, sadly. 6/10 I like this. It's like rebound, except it doesn't actually recast the spell... I would normally think that for 4 tokens would be a bit too good, but spreading it over two turns works. 10/10I nod, and follow the man, saying, "Then let us depart." Out here, in the timeline I've jumped to, Ravnica seems to be alive and well. But it's not my Ravnica... I've never even been there."
Vision of the Eternities... I think this type of effect is a good response to my attack, but I'm really nervous around card-hijacking, mainly because it just seems really unfun to play or play against. I think this type of effect is a good response to my attack, but I'm really nervous around card-hijacking, mainly because it just seems really unfun to play or play against. I was originally hesitant about it being colorless, too, but the restriction to using to pay for colors is interesting, and suits a Phyrexian character fairly well. 7/10 Abandoned Metropolis

(Guest System) For some reason, Khon's thoughts stray to that little explorer girl. She hadn't been on the Arena much lately, spending more and more time with that other child. She was in good hands, and certainly not under the knife of some mad doctor, paralyzed in fear.
Where did that thought come from?
He can almost feel the doctor's presence, as if they were standing over him.
Before he can dismiss it, he hears a single word in his soul."Help!"Call for Aid Instant Cast this spell only during combat before blockers are declared and only if a creature is attacking you. Put a permanent card from your hand onto the battlefield. It gains lifelink. At the beginning of your next end step, sacrifice that permanent.

Blade of Severance: Land destruction plus cumulative growth = scary (?) profit. Something about colorless land removal makes me nervous (maybe having them sacrifice a land might... be nicer?) but I have a generally good feeling about the balance of this as a weapon. 9/10.

Very interesting, though I don't think I like the idea of the 1/1 tokens being Angels. Birds would be better - Angel just suggest much larger creatures. It's not bad, though I do think it should probably be slightly more expensive as well. 8/10"I see... that does make sense, I suppose," Khon muses. - Create a 1/1 colorless Triskelavite artifact creature token with flying and "Sacrifice this creature: This creature deals 1 damage to any target."
- Create a 2/2 colorless Spirit creature token.
- Create a colorless Treasure artifact token with ", Sacrifice this artifact: Add one mana of any color."
(Fun fact: All of the tokens here are, in fact, actual tokens used by other cards.)

I think it'd serve the same effect with only two or three of its abilities (and now that I look at it, I have a suspicion the last ability has the potential to go infinite with some activated-creature-token-creation abilities). That said, I'm really interested by the combo potential this kind of thing has. 8/10

A twirl of Khon's glaive deflects the axe harmlessly into the air above him, and he pivots to strike back - pausing, however, as the other individual makes his presence known. Khon narrows his eyes as the man lunges towards Doer himself, catching Doer's axe as it falls back down and flinging it in the cat's direction. "Yes... we are sparring - you, however, are interfering. I would know why." The final sentence is not stated as a question - though there is a definite edge in Khon's voice as he addresses the newcomer. Throwing Blade Artifact - Equipment Equipped creature gets +1/+1. , Tap equipped creature, Unattach Throwing Blade: Throwing Blade deals 3 damage to any target and doesn't untap during your next untap step. Equip I need to Neottolemo here or does the quote ping you automatically? (Doer) I grab my axe as machine guys throws it and the Weapon turns into a katana. Thanks, rust-pile. The katana blocks Vern's weapons. "I'm getting a litle bit tired of you and your illusions, meowstard." I take a step back. "This was a duel between meow and meowster meowtal meown here." My katana points at Vern's chest, from a safe distance. Well, safe for him. "Leave. Now. And don't cross meow path ever again."Doer, Furry Enemy Legendary Creature - Cat Warrior Reach, protecton from artifacts and enchantments. Whenever a noncreature spell causes a creature to enter the battlefield under an opponent's control, destroy that creature. "I'm the end of all things", said Doer, and he started to lick his paw.4/3 Gravitational Stampede: The putting a creature tapped and attacking part doesn't work because you can cast this not during combat, the other half is fine. 6,5/10 Throwing Blade: I really not a fan of equipment that unattaches, but this one looks very nice. 9/10"Alright. I get it. I'm an intruder. I don't belong here. It's kind of my thing. You want me to leave? Make me." Vern's body turns to static for a moment, then back to normal. "Fuck! Really? This is the worst possible moment for the spell to wear off. Fucking hell. This is-" The static comes back again. It crackles louder than a jet engine. Vern is back. Looking alarmed. "The worst is yet to come." With those words, the static comes back again, even louder, then with a 'BOOM' it slowly begins to fade out.
Doer: Not very pushed but ok. 8/10

Khon watches as the cat addresses Vern. He remains silent, simply watching both cat and human, and waiting to see what the interloper does. Strike from Beyond Instant Destroy target attacking creature whose toughness is less than the number of cards you own in exile. "Alright. I get it. I'm an intruder. I don't belong here. With those words, the static comes back again, even louder, then with a 'BOOM' it slowly begins to fade out. I look at that Vern guy as he dissapears. "That's what happens to everyone that crosses my path." I smile to the machine guy, in a very disturbing way. Then, I just start laughing. "So, should we continue the fight, meowster? I meown, we can say it's a draw. That's probably the best result you can hope to get..."Doer's Bluff

Portal Technician Creature — Human Wizard Whenever a creature you control would leave the battlefield, you may exile it instead. At the beginning of your upkeep, return each card exiled with Portal Technician to your hand. 1/1 Anomalous Arrival: Huh, interesting. This concept is cool but really wordy. I think it'd serve the same effect with only two or three of its abilities (and now that I look at it, I have a suspicion the last ability has the potential to go infinite with some activated-creature-token-creation abilities). That said, I'm really interested by the combo potential this kind of thing has. 8/10 This is actually a pretty nice creature. It doesn't nullify removal, but mitigates it at the cost of you having to replay the creatures - but it also means that if this dies while other things are exiled by it, then it and everything else it exiled is gone for good (barring shenanigans that let you pull things back from exile, few as those are). This, in turn, is mitigated by the replacement effect being optional rather than required... I like it overall, but I can't help but feel like something's broken about it somewhere. 9/10Khon nods, and answers, "I see - though, that still brings the same concerns with it. Given the Arena's unusual interactions with timespace in comparison to other planes, I would think it introduces levels of uncertainty that are exactly what one would not want for experiments..."Resonating Void Enchantment Whenever a card enters or leaves exile from anywhere other than its owner's library, its controller exiles cards from the top of their library equal to that card's converted mana cost.

So, you punish lands and nonlands in hand both... for a CMC 3, I think it works well, though I'm not 100% sold on it - it's one of those things that I'd probably need to see in action. 9/10Khon watches as the interloper vanishes in a burst of static, before turning back to Doer. At the feline's comment, he considers for a moment, before replying, "I believe that it would be best to halt our bout there, for the moment. Perhaps in the future we will cross blades again... or, I suppose, we may find ourselves battling alongside one another once more."Momentary Oblivion Instant Each player exiles their hand face down, then exiles all permanents they control. At the beginning of your next upkeep, put all cards exiled face down this way into their owner's hands, then put all remaining cards exiled this way onto the battlefield under their owner's control. Exile Momentary Oblivion. // An older black-cloaked woman seems to be performing some ritual in the area, saying words that sound like some kind of prayer.Eternal Rest Instant Exile target creature and each creature card in that player's graveyard with the same name as that creature. Its controller gains 2 life for each card exiled this way. This is definitely an interesting concept - it feels undercosted to me, though, even with the life gain benefit for the creature's controller. or probably would be better here. 8/10Khon watches the woman for a moment, attempting to determine whether she is actually performing some kind of magic, or if this is simply a prayer that she is reciting. Power Overwhelming Instant Until end of turn, change the text of target spell or ability by replacing all instances of any card type with "permanent". I Studied The Blade Scheme When you set this scheme in motion, search your library for an Equipment card, reveal it, put it into your hand, then put an Equipment card from your hand onto the battlefield, then shuffle your library. While the mechanic here is interesting, it seems like it would be better just to put the tutored Equipment directly onto the battlefield. Odds are the result would be the same, after all. 8/10. Also, responding to a flavorless attack with a flavorless defense.Grasp of Aether Instant Exile target Equipment. Metalcraft - If you control three or more artifacts, put that Equipment onto the battlefield under your control.

It's specifically a hate piece for Equipment, which you don't see all that often, but I'm not sure it's that good even with metalcraft on. My gut says either making it cost less, like just , or making it cost more but affect all artifacts might be better options than leaving it as-is. 6.5/10
