The kithkin drops his spear, instinctively copying the motions in his memory. Something about it seems familiar: like mindweft, but wrong somehow. Painfully hot and bright. Like staring into… what did Travidar call it again? Right. A "sun." The noise is even worse. His hands clench ever tighter over his ears as he prays to the Reaper King for this horrid cacophony to end. The THING ceases its call at the kithkin. A screen briefly grows on one of the spindly legs, then shrinks away again. It stops for a moment... watching? Waiting?
There is a skittering in The Featherweight. Letters and drawings pull themselves from the pages throughout the ship. Hundreds of the tiny constructs flood the ship and spill out, some following the call of the THING. A drawing of the ship floats behind the kithkin, readying whatever weapons it has.Banner of the Meek Artifact Creatures you control with converted mana cost 1 get +2/+2. Mindweft Surge - could get away with a cantrip imo 7/10

Parasign "Hello?" rings out from outside the ship, "Is anyone there? I just found this crater, and it looks like you might've crashed..." and then whoevers in the ship hears a light knocking noise on the ship's hull. Brash Speedster Creature - Human Pilot Trample, haste Whenever Brash Speedster crews a Vehicle, that Vehicle gains trample and haste until end of turn. 3/1 (Not really related to the story but whatever)

Herevite Legacy Breach Plane - Ylstikeme Whenever a player casts a spell, that player discards a card at random, then draws two cards.
When you roll , each player discards their hand, then exile an amount of cards from top of your library equal to the greatest number of cards a player discard this way. You may play cards exiled this way this turn without paying their mana costs.

shiftyhomunculus Luminous Cohort: I like Refract in a vacuum, but it requires both special counters and unique tokens, which makes it difficult to find a set it would work in. Would be cool in a digital-only set, though. 8/10.As the creature moves, a web of glowing blue lines begins to spread across the walls around it with an ominous hum. "A spy, is it?"A tall, thin vedalken in a tattered red and blue robe turns and strides over to the creature, his gaze at once intense and distant, like he's glaring at someone halfway across the plane. He spares a contemptuous glance at the construct as he approaches. "You have nine seconds to convince me not to deconstruct your toy."Observation Web Creature – Illusion Wall Defender Whenever a creature enters the battlefield under an opponent's control, scry 1. 0/4 The construct freezes up at the noise, turning to face the vedalken (hard to tell, since it doesn't have a discernible face.) It puts out its hands as though trying to maintain its balance, and an odd metallic noise rings out, like a blade being dragged across the interior of the ship. It doesn't make a single sound, and seems to make no effort to evade any attempts Travidar might make to destroy it - though he might notice another, identical construct stepping out of the body of the first and making a break for the nearest escape. On Observation Web: Clean uncommon, and a good, solid foil to refract in general and these smaller critters in particular. 8/10.

WindyDelcarlo Starlight Banner: This goes infinite with any activated ability where the cost is either free or "Pay 1 life" (or 2, if you don’t need the unlimited lifegain). As such, it probably wants to be on something more expensive, and maybe easier for the opponent to remove. I also find it confusing that the scry is symmetrical but the lifegain isn't. I do like the trigger, though; I think "activated abilities matter" has potential. 6/10."Oh. I don't like clerics. They don't taste so good." The girl scratches her head. "No, those are carrots. We went through a big swirly hole in that big ship there and crashed on the ground. It was fun." She grins, flashing razor-sharp teeth. "What's a cleric?"Priest of Nutrition Creature – Plant Cleric When ~ enters the battlefield, put a +1/+1 counter on target creature. Whenever ~ or another creature you control dies, you gain 1 life. If that creature had a +1/+1 counter on it, put a +1/+1 counter on another creature you control. 2/1 "Hm... A cleric is what we call someone that learns and studies magic from a deity that we devote ourselves to. A cleric from Volaria, for example, might tell you that she is a cleric of Solari."Priest of Nutrition is probably alright given what the green M20 elemental does. 8/10 Pious Lightguider Creature - Elf Cleric Whenever you cast a multicolored spell, put a +1/+1 counter on Pious Lightguider. 2/2

cajun Banner of the Meek: I like the idea of "CMC 1 matters" quite a bit (even if it’s hard to flavor well), and this seems like a good way to support it. 10/10. mrlozano Pull a Prank: Interesting. "Deal 3 damage and draw the top card of your opponent’s deck" doesn’t quite seem worth 3 mana unless your opponent’s running a burn deck also, which would make the hand size condition much less likely to hit, so this could probably stand to be pushed a bit more. 9/10. WindyDelcarlo Pious Lightguider: Seems fine. 9/10. Neottolemo Herevite Legacy Breach: I like both these abilities a lot in a vacuum, and they definitely sell the concept of a chaotic interdimensional portal. However, they both seem incredibly strong on a plane. The first is ridiculously breakable in the right deck, and the second flat out wins the game. This would make for two very cool spells, though. 8/10.
As Doer speaks, the vedalken flickers through a range of emotions: fear, confusion, annoyance, and finally white-hot rage. "Listen, you obnoxious puling ingrate." His form momentarily flickers as he glares down at the cat. "There is, at this very moment, a state-of-the-art hard-light construct spying on my ship, some sort of chaos magic animating half my physical research notes, and a horrendous ear-splitting shriek I haven’t even begun to locate. And you have the gall to claim this is a planeswalker vacation spot?!" Something in the way he says "planeswalker" seems distinctly venomous. Adelyn Brash Speedster: Slightly bigger Speedway Fanatic? Seems fine. 8/10.
The argument continues. From what little is audible at this distance, it sounds like there are at least three individuals involved, one of which is a child, and the topic has abruptly changed from something about time travel to who should answer the knock. It only grows louder as the door slides open to reveal a tall, four-armed individual resembling a snake. The snake-person's voice is emotionless but firm. "Who are you, where are we, and what do you want."Cold Welcome Instant Tap target creature. If that creature entered the battlefield this turn, it doesn't untap during its controller's next untap step. Draw a card.

Adelyn Galvanized Bolt: This seems pushed, especially in the type of set that would want to use Improvise. I could see it in something along the lines of Modern Horizons, though, especially given the reference. 9/10.
The snake-person twitches when it hears 'Arena', but otherwise remains perfectly still, only its right eye moving as it looks Brayden over. Its left eye, and lower left arm, appear on closer inspection to be made entirely of metal. "I see. You may call me Aseka Yeru. "How did you come to know EPIC, and even under a completely different name from what I know it, and you also seem to have a distinct distrust of EPIC, and yet you dont know if they are to be trusted, surely you would know that already?"
Hope or Hazard: I like the idea, Its like a red version of fact or fiction. I'm going to dock a point off 9 (The score I would've given it) because its not the most efficient response to my card because its a sorcery and so have to cast ahead of time. 8/10 Gearcrusher Hydra Creature - Hydra Improvise Trample ~ enters the battlefield with X +1/+1 counters on it. 0/0

Adelyn Gearcrusher Hydra: X spells with cost reduction mechanics are always fun. 9/10.Travidar looks doubtful. "It's quite possible they changed their name between now and when I first heard of them. Or perhaps it was simply a poor translation; I've never interacted with them directly." He spreads his hands, palms out, in a gesture that seems roughly analogous to a shrug. "And not knowing if someone can be trusted looks awfully similar to not trusting them, wouldn't you agree?"Slip Away Instant Exile target creature, then return it to its owner’s hand or to the battlefield under its owner’s control.

Xylsha, shocked by the drone's sudden demise, attempts to creep away. The snake-person barely glances at her as they walk up to its ruined shell. "We will discuss this. Later."They crouch over the drone and examine it closely, arcane symbols flickering across their metallic left eye: materials, construction methods, and traces of magic all examined and cataloged to the best of the implant's ability. Once they've observed all they can, a gelatinous sheath forms around their lower left hand, which proceeds to carefully pick up the remains and deposit them in a sack. Then they turn and walk back toward the Featherweight. The drone's chassis is a dull metal that is unremarkable except for a resistance to aether. It contained two spells, one attempting to seek out people, and one to jettison something to the Blind Eternities when it ran out of power. The orichi may find a path to its destination plane. Avoid Risk - looks good 9/10

I need to go because I only intended for this to be a walk during my break. Please, Travidar, trust me on this."//If no one stops him, smoke creeps up his legs, which engulfs him and then he disappears. Slip Away: Simple, yet effective. 9/10
