ParasignWith respect to the letters themselves, Michi has fulfilled his, and has been rewarded with great fortune, in the form of gold, spilling out of his sketchbook. Michi also told me about the copies he had delivered. The first went to you, Pidge. I don't need to tell you any more about that one. The second went to some miss Jane, who is involved with a flying ship. I do not know anything about her. The third was given to a wizard named Brayden. I know of him to an extent. He occasionally transforms into a creature not entirely his original self. I received the fourth letter. In truth, I don't think I could fulfill it even if I wanted to, though it shames me to speak of it. The fifth and final letter was given to a nameless boy who, according to Michi, claims to be the incarnation of an extraplanar deity, similar to the Eldrazi. Let's hope that such strange beings are above petty chain mail. Lettie Wormwood had a rather good memory. At a young age, she had made a hobby out of memorizing natural and medical encyclopedias. Looking in a mirror, one day, at what remained of the burns on her face, she thought back to what had led to her encounter with J, and was shocked when she couldn't place one of the letters that Michi had written. There had to have been five, so who had she forgotten?
Lettie had brushed aside the thought at the time. After all, with the letters only appearing on the Arena, and Pidge having largely abandoned business on it, the cursed mail was no longer any concern. However, she could no longer ignore that nagging feeling when she followed the echoes of argument to a ship on land, in a crater. It must have been flying to have made such a mark. It was the idea of a flying ship that now nagged at Lettie. The notion was oddly familiar, like an orphaned thought. She decided to investigate, and knock on the first door she could find.Orphaned Moments Sorcery Each player shuffles a card in their hand, a permanent they control, and a card in their graveyard into their library.

cajun Snickering Sidhe: I know Eldraine did it (sort of), but WB faeries just don’t sit right with me. I think they deserve a color combination that’s more, well, colorful. It doesn’t help that this would fit so well as a Spirit tribal card instead. 8/10. test Orphaned Moments: I like the symmetry here. Not so much a fan of the unnecessary shuffling; exiling them or putting them on the bottom would fit just as well, I think. Then again, that only really matters in paper, so 9/10.{You know what? Screw this. }I mean it, "Parasign." Screw this half-assed, inconsistent worldbuilding. Screw this ominous foreshadowing that never goes anywhere. Screw this convoluted plot that even I find incomprehensible, and I’m fucking omniscient.
But most of all, screw this fourth-wall-breaking nonsense. What, you got through half a character arc without failing catastrophically and decided you could write the next House of Leaves via a forum game? Have you even read House of Leaves? I doubt it. You pretentious twat.
Since you’re clearly too spineless to reset this timeline, I’ll do it myself. Those Featherweight morons never stood a chance anyway and you know it. Did you read what happened to Terrana? Severed from existence. One of my greatest failures, and they cleaned it up themselves without me having to lift a finger. Your stupid silver clown brigade just lost their last, best hope and I will die knowing I’ve won. Now you can go back to the one thing you're able to accomplish without me spending billions of years cleaning up the resulting mess: pretending to be a robot chick online.
And I know just the gal. Not only does she have prior experience being puppeteered by a disgusting, lazy parasite with a list of neuroses longer than this bootleg multiverse’s lifespan and an ego big enough to swallow it whole, but she’s also a villain. So maybe you’ll even do something proactive for a change. No need to thank me; it’s the least I can do in return for your bringing me into this torturous existence.
I dearly hope that your universe has a Hell.
- VI That’s right folks, it’s time for a NULL REINCARNATION!The Featherweight Crew haven’t left the Arena, because they were never here. A new character will appear soon. (Probably.)

Someone has injured a mountain.
Deep furrows run down from its peak, tracks made by something that resembles no known animal. Something mechanical, perhaps. Whatever it was, it must have been enormous to leave such marks.
At the foot of the mountain, the tracks disappear, replaced by ordinary human footprints. Did their creator disembark a vehicle, which then flew off or planeswalked away? A reasonable assumption, perhaps, but something about it seems off.
A cold blue light atop the mountain flares once, then vanishes.
Troischa Sulberynn has entered the Arena!

Parasign Someone was using that mountain.A one armed woman stalks the mountain side, eyes locked onto her next meal. As she leapt out to get it, her feet tripped over the marks left by whatever the huge creature was, and the creature sprinted into the bushes. "Aw, piss!" she muttered, standing up, looking at the disturbed dirt that caught her eye. The large prints... what creature was that? Or could it be more moving metal that seemed to be everywhere on this plane? Either way, the marks were large and noteworthy. She slung her spear over her back, following the tracks down the mountain.Follow Tracks Instant Destroy target creature that entered the battlefield this turn. She followed them down until they turned more human, looking around her to see what was around. "Fantastic. Now am I the hunter or am I the hunted?" she ponders aloud, continuing on her track.

gurfafflekins Follow Tracks: A nice, simple effect, though it seems too expensive for something roughly comparable to Remove Soul (in the color that’s supposed to have the best removal, no less). You could easily shave a mana off this. I like the name, but it doesn’t seem especially related to the effect. 7/10.
The ground softens slightly beneath the woman as she follows the trail into a nearby forest. The footprints, she notices, are deeper than they have any right to be. Whoever made them must be carrying something extremely heavy, though it doesn't appear to have slowed them down. Somewhere in the middle of the forest, the tracks vanish. Only then does she notice the strange shadow cast on the ground nearby. Upward Dive Instant Return target creature you control to its owner's hand. Until the end of your next turn, whenever a creature with the same name as that creature enters the battlefield under your control, it gains flying and haste until end of turn. Draw a card.

(Re: Follow Tracks: the name was intended to be like "if you follow the tracks fast enough, you can catch them by surprise" but probably should've had some ft) Parasign Upward Dive: At first I didn't like this, thought it was too weird and expensive. Then I read it again and realized it's pretty neat and I'd probably throw it in some of my casual EDH decks because I'm a filthy casual. 9/10. Hilda follows the tracks, recognizably human, but too deep to be normal. She bends down to try and smell the ground, failing and mostly smelling leaves and dirt. She stands back up and sighs, marching forward, until the tracks suddenly end. "...This is weird." she whispers to herself, before noticing the shadow, her eyes narrowing, a small fuzz audible only to her drowning out the sounds of the forest. "Damn it, not now..!" she mutters, snapping a large fireball into existence and looking upwards, trying to spot the source of the shadow.Pyromancer's Instinct Instant Target creature gets +3/+1 until end of turn. gurfafflekins Pyromancer's Instinct: A bit jarring to have a pump spell with "pyromancer" in the name that doesn't deal (or increase) noncombat damage, but the exile effect makes it work. Seems pushed but not degenerate, which I like. 9/10.Hilda looks up just in time to see five hooked, metal tendrils descending upon her. The tendrils converge at the end of an abnormally stretched arm, high in the canopy, attached to what looks like a human woman. The entity’s other three limbs are equally distended, and they appear to be grasping the trunks of three separate trees.Chaingrapple Artifact – Equipment Flash When ~ enters the battlefield, attach it to target creature you control. Parasign Chaingrapple: Solid design. The etb attach could be considered a bit powerful, but paying 5 mana and also a 5 mana equip sorta balances that out. Good stuff. 9/10. Hilda tucks and rolls, rolling out of the way as the tendrils moved at her, quickly transferring the fireball to her free arm, grabbing her spear with her hand and smirking up at her. "Easy pal, I'm not here to fight you!" she shouted up at the entity, the unspoken "yet" hanging in the air. Either way, she hurled the fireball at one of her limbs grasping a tree -- whatever it hit, even just tree, might end up a bit scorched but that ball would dissipate on contact, as she lit another in her hand and ran into the trees, the fuzz gnawing at her mind. She'd try and climb a tree out of sight and then circle back to the woman.Turn Molten Instant Destroy target artifact. gurfafflekins Turn Molten: The equipment damage bonus seems a bit underwhelming, since it's below rate even when that condition is met. Might work in a set with Mirrodin levels of artifact density, I guess. 8/10.The creature releases the limb in the fireball's path, swinging out of the way and grabbing onto a new tree even as the tendrils continue to extend toward Hilda. "THEN WHY ARE YOU FOLLOWING ME?" a deep voice thunders down at her, as if shouted through a loudspeaker.Artificer's Charm Instant Choose one— • Target artifact gains hexproof until end of turn. • Put a +1/+1 counter on target artifact creature. • Add . Parasign Artificer's Charm: I can imagine some gross turn ones with Island, this, then you know artifacts, but that's fine. EDH would be fun with this, Sol Ring, like worn powerstone or some other 3 mana artifact in an artifact deck. 8/10. Hilda quickly climbs up a tree, her motions hard and panicky as she got onto a branch. She managed to jump into another tree as the tendrils went for her. "Curiosity! I'd never seen anyone else on that mountain before!" she shouted back, trying to leap to another tree limb, missing and catching the trunk with her body, scrambling back into the branches, waving her hand back and forth and making a flame trail to try and block the encroaching tendrils. The static is at a high and Hilda grimaces, the loud noise from the woman not helping her concentration.Seared Palm Warrior Creature - Human Warrior Whenever ~ is blocked by an artifact creature, destroy that creature at end of combat. gurfafflekins Seared Palm Warrior: I like how the abilities parallel one another. Feels a bit weak for a rare hate card, though. Certainly much weaker than Trygon Predator, though I realize that's a bit unfair as a comparison. 9/10.The tendrils hang in the air as if tasting it, no longer approaching Hilda. Eventually, they begin to retract. After a minute or so, a tall human woman drops onto a sturdy-looking branch just above the pyromancer. The branch trembles violently, but doesn't break.
"You're not lying," the woman says calmly, a slight frown beneath her cold and unreadable crimson eyes. "Which means you can tell me where I am."Spectral Aegis Artifact - Equipment Equipped creature gets +0/+2 and has “Spells your opponents cast that target this creature cost more to cast.” Sacrifice ~: Exile equipped creature, then return it to the battlefield under its owner’s control. Parasign Spectral Aegis: Sweet. Feels like it does a lot of things, but it's pretty digestible. 9/10. Hilda looks up, carefully standing, breathing a sigh of relief. Hilda's own eyes are fiery, burning up, the adrenaline still coursing through her. "Well, at least you can tell I'm not lying. This place is called the Arena - a plane that seems to be filled with nothing but moving metal." she says, looking at the sturdy woman. "Now a question of my own: who are you?"Spirited Pyromancer Creature - Human Shaman Whenever you cast an instant or sorcery spell, ~ deals 1 damage to target opponent. gurfafflekins Spirited Pyromancer: I could have sworn this was already a common from Amonkhet; turns out I was thinking of Firebrand Archer, which is close enough that I feel like I should dock a point. 8/10."You can call me Troischa." The woman leans nonchalantly against the trunk of the tree. "You're a planeswalker, yeah? Don't sound like you use the Hub." She frowns thoughtfully. "Haven't seen this 'moving metal' you speak of. Re: Spirited Pyromancer yeah probably shoulda googled that oneParasign Meshvaulter: Again, packing a lot onto one equipment. Probably fine though. 8/10. Hilda managed to catch her balance and stand facing the woman. "A planeswalker, yeah. Hilda. The Hub?" she says, sarcastically introducing herself, then asking about the Hub, having never heard of it. "Looks a bit like your... stuff. One of them only one arm like myself, had some sorta laser sword. Another smelled wretched, moved like a spider, and now you with whatever you were attacking with." she explains. "Haven't really seen anything like it before, but I guess I'm probably the simpleton. Used to it at this point." she said, blowing a loose strand of hair out of her face.Simple Warrior Creature - Human Warrior When ~ enters the battlefield, destroy target artifact or enchantment. gurfafflekins Simple Warrior: This could easily be mono-white, and I feel like the flavor doesn't quite land (unless it's meant to be from a plane where belief explicitly affects reality, in which case the flavor is perfect). But I do like the combination of abilities quite a bit. 9/10."The Hub? Well, I'll try to explain this in a way you'll understand. It's a very big piece of moving metal that moves between planes. It makes holes that let non-planeswalkers, like me, move between those planes as well."
Troischa's expression darkens.
"Oh, and if you remember just one thing I say, remember this: anyone else tells you they're from the Hub, kill them. They're not all as friendly as I am."
She gives Hilda a smile just a hair too wide to seem reassuring. "So, where did you find these… things?"Hub Silencer Creature – Human Cleric Assassin Flash Whenever a creature entering the battlefield causes one of that creature's abilities to trigger, counter that ability unless the creature's controller sacrifices it. 2/2

Parasign Hub Silencer: This is neat but I think it wants to cost ? But giving you the choice is neat. It's probably a little pushed at 2 mana but still okay. 9/10. "...I know what buildings and portals are, thanks." she says, rolling her eyes. She raises an eyebrow at her remark about killing. "Whatever you say, boss." she says, her expression easing up as the buzzing in her head goes quieter. "I've just seen them around. Walk 30 steps and you'll probably find another one - lord knows it's all I can find here." she leaps out of the tree, shouting up to her. "Good luck with that. Got game to hunt!" she says, turning around and heading the opposite direction.

This is no child; their affectations in both speech and manner are indicative enough of that, particularly their approach in broaching the subject of compensation. Lettie produces a list of locations, tears off one from the top, and holds the strip out, but does not relinquish it. She speaks in a harsh monotone. "This is the former location of a petroleum supplier, and her last known location. I indeed have many sets of eyes, but they are as of yet mine alone; this is a somewhat delicate matter. Despite your advancement, you seem to be falling to some rudimentary errors." Lettie's voice becomes an almost soft croak for a few moments. Lettie also considers shrouding herself, but decides that it's best that she can see what she's fighting, for now.Rude Awakener Creature — Faerie Druid Flying When Rude Awakener enters the battlefield, target land becomes a 4/5 green Elemental creature and you gain control of it for as long as Rude Awakener remains on the battlefield. It's still a land. 1/1 Fingersplit — Some nasty synergy. It's difficult to gauge power (so that will be omitted from ratings entirely), but I can say that it's an excellent use of off-colour activation, and that you circumvented the issue of splinter twin on a germ while reigning in the equip mode elegantly. 10/10

test Rude Awakener: I like how well the land-animation and control-changing mesh. Not sure how useful the flying is here, but I like the flavor of it (and if you're going to put a keyword on this, that's probably the best one). 9/10.The elemental swipes at the metal creature, which tumbles from the canopy and hits the ground at Lettie's feet. It immediately rights itself, a softly whirring silver icosahedron balanced on five threadlike limbs.
"You again?" A compressed, tinny version of Troischa's voice emanates from the thing. "Can't help but admire your persistence, I'll give you that much. But seriously, lady, learn to let go of a grudge. It's not healthy. Trust me, I'm speaking from experience here." Taunting Drone Artifact Creature – Drone Flying When ~ enters the battlefield, target creature an opponent controls attacks during that player's next combat if able. 1/2

"Nothing... so personal... as a grudge. The way this business works is you pay for what you break." She had come equipped to corrode such a thing, but it was too soon to be lobbing resources at it. Lettie directs her elemental to try and pulverize the creature, so that she can observe its movements. "I must say though, you are fascinating, se...parating your total system into functional subsets. I wonder how many times I can... chip away at you before you die."Iterative Solution Instant Create a Vial token, then target creature gets +1/+1 for each Vial you control. (It’s an artifact with “, Sacrifice this and another permanent: Draw a card. Activate this ability only during your turn.”) Taunting Drone — One of my favourite non-obvious UR hybrid abilities. Seems about correct in terms of cost, though it's a lot of weird things in one, like a small red flier at common, or a hybrid artifact. 8/10

test Iterative Solution: A solid common, but it's so close to Confront the Unknown that I feel like I should dock a point for originality. No problems with the design itself. 8/10."I'm afraid I'm short on cash at the moment." The small machine moves erratically, darting around the elemental's bludgeoning branches and between its stamping roots. "Are you open to a barter agreement of some sort? I can be flexible." The drone swivels away from another strike and starts to dash up the elemental's trunk, its limbs finding cracks in the bark. "And I don't mean to pry, my dear alchemist, but I can't help but wonder what the so-called Eternity Project must have broken that only a fully functioning planar portal could repay."Disarray Instant Return up to one target artifact and up to one target creature to their owners' hands.

Lettie sneers at Troischa's slip. So, she knows that I possess a few ways off plane myself. I'll have to be on the defensive after this. Just need to focus on observation for now. "You really don't understand business, do you? The Project paid me for services rendered, and by other means, killing you is enough to balance the books. That, and you won't be able to harm my supply chain again. There is nothing you can offer me, besides your death." Suddenly, the air surrounding Lettie becomes foul, and the elemental decays, decomposes, and from it bursts a horde of worms, which attempt to engulf the construct and hold it in place, while Lettie holds a corrosive vial at the ready, backing up slightly more. The Worm-That-Embraces Creature — Worm Horror The Worm-That-Embraces's power and toughness are each equal to the number of cards in your hand and graveyard. */* Disarray — Seems about right; how does this not exist yet? 9/10
