Then, she cackles, madly, and punctuates Troischa's threat with a corrosive cloud on top of the flailing construct, as she raves a mantra in uncontrolled and wild tone: "Despite your home's resources, you haven't even scrounged a spark! Despite what you may believe about mine, I have achieved a horrifying wonder that not even your creator could have even imagined! Parasign A silent long-boat glided across the silt-choked waters of a coastal estuary, a pair of paddles methodically propelling the vessel through the thick sludge that made up the bog's liquid contents. One passenger, whom the scent of death clung to, stood at the front, their skin marked with death as they mimicked the gesture of holding their hand of their eyes, as if covering them from some imaginary sunlight. The other two passengers, one the rower, were likewise dead-looking, and seemed to be conscious enough to perform their duties, if not more. A glint in the strangling vines and canopy that hung low over the bog caught the red eye of the undead scout, and he pointed wordlessly towards the source. The rower adjusted accordingly, and the long-boat turned towards it, and the zombie at the front grabbed the reflective artifact from the embrace of the vines and branches. An arm, made largely of metal, and clearly torn from whatever body it had belonged to. The one that had grabbed it stared at it for a moment, examining its find, before growling some kind of command to the others. They had found what they were looking for. Treasure. {Attack Card - Muck Plunderer}Muck Plunderer - Creature - Zombie Pirate Raid — When Muck Plunderer enters the battlefield, if you attacked this turn, return target artifact or creature card from your graveyard to your hand. 2/1

PopcorniaMuck Plunderer: Seems quite strong in Limited, but being less likely to work if played early and harder to loop than your standard Gravedigger means it's probably fine. 9/10.Another patch of skin sloughs off the shining metal as the passenger's rotting fingers close around it. A handful of loose copper wires weakly curl and thrash at its touch, but the arm shows no other resistance as the longboat glides on. Parasign The arm's wriggling only prompted its morbid carrier to grasp it tighter, sitting down in the long boat as it was turned around in the bog, the other two grim occupants wordlessly continuing their duties. ... The boat roughly impacted into sand as the small vessel was brought onto shore, two of the undead crew pushing the transport further onto the sand while the third, the one that had found the arm, clutched it to their chest, eyes forward as they landed themselves on solid beach. Ahead of them were several other zombie crew, all currently standing around someone who appeared to be much more in the realm of the living. Her skin had the appearance of life, but the pallor of death, and the woman's eyes glowed the same hungry red. Saltwater licked at her heels as she observed a small chest in front of her, filled with other odd trinkets and things, most certainly from the efforts of the dead men and women around her. {Response Card - Dismal Tribute} Dismal Tribute - Sorcery Each opponent sacrifices an artifact and a creature. Create a Treasure token for each permanent sacrificed this way. (It’s an artifact with “T, Sacrifice this artifact: Add one mana of any color.”)- They offered troves of golden rings still attached to the fingers of their former owners. — Tales of the Blackwaters, excerpt Morbid Fragment: Interesting card, I could definitely see this as a cycle. 8/10 for an interesting mana-rock / value combo.

Popcornia Dismal Tribute: Black can't destroy artifacts, even with forced sacrifice (especially since it always hits an artifact if there is one; I would've been more accepting of "sacrifices an artifact or creature"). Color pie issue aside, this feels underwhelming at rare outside of multiplayer, so I'm assuming this is for a multiplayer-oriented set. A bit worried about the potential explosiveness there, but then there are worse offenders. 7/10.

ParasignA few moments passed before the bearer of the arm wordlessly shuffled forward, the broken limb held forth as it approached the woman in charge her. She gave it an appraising look, 'hmm'-ing as the details became known to her. She didn't seem to recognize it as anything more significant than an arm, but then again, she was surrounded by undead who likely didn't need her opinion. "Put it with the rest," she declared, the zombie obeying instantly and dropping the limb into the small chest, thankfully wide enough to fit it, before another zombie shut the container shut. "All of you! Return to the Crownwell and await my orders." {Response Card - Sealed Trove} Sealed Trove Artifact - When Sealed Trove enters the battlefield, exile another target noncreature artifact until this leaves the battlefield. , , Sacrifice Sealed Trove: Draw a card. - A fortune saved is a fortune to be spent later. The undead began to disperse, returning to one of several longboats in the sand nearby. Their captain took one more look away from the shore, further inland, before she scoffed and embarked on one of them. PopcorniaSealed Trove: Colorless artifact removal is sketchy, especially at 1 mana. I'd prefer if this said "you control." Nice card otherwise. 8/10.The arm allows itself to be dropped into the chest, making no move even as the lid shuts above it, trapping it inside. No sounds of resistance emerge from the chest as the zombies and captain each embark and drift away.Clean Slate Instant Draw a card for each permanent you controlled that left the battlefield this turn. ParasignThe interior of the chest is quiet, save for the sounds of rowing and the splash of water outside on its exterior. Eventually it undergoes some heavy movement, some dragging, and dropping onto a hard surface, before all is quiet. Somewhere on the Crownwell, a chest with an arm from another world rests, out of sight and mind, for the moment. Clean Slate: This is usually going to be used when a bunch of things have died, but it's also pretty specific enough that you will either work around this, or only see it in weird combo decks. 7/10, because I like it and double blue makes it more difficult to splash.

Somewhere on the Arena, an old man hauls a backpack full of implements, books, and scrolls, looking for any sign of civilization. The air around him seems to shimmer and distort, as if it isn't quite sure how to accommodate his presence. On the ground before him is a lump of machinery about the size of his fist: the last piece of Troischa Sulberynn left unaccounted for.
The man catches site of the fragment, mutters something unintelligible, and takes out a magnifying glass to peer at it more closely. He jots down some notes in a journal, then gingerly picks up the device and stows it in his pack before continuing on.
Troischa Sulberynn has left the Arena!
A nameless scholar has entered the Arena.

pacifistwestwoman Nomadic Master: Cool cycling payoff. I love how the FT gives flavor to cycling as a mechanic. Parasign The Arena's coastline was a murky approximation of a landscape, bearing both the scars of ages past and the markings of sudden and recent turbulence. It was, at a minimum, a place where a vast body of water collided with a mainland, and along the line between these were a great many remnants of people's and places that had once existed. The occasional crumbling ruin, while usually uninteresting, only served to highlight one of the few remaining constructions. A tall, stone-brick lighthouse, it's beacon mysterious still lit as it shown over the top of the cliffs. In the distance, a vast vessel leered at the coastline, and in the sands below, a few longboats had made their landing on the shore, footprints leading from them heading towards the path upwards. {Attack?
