I'm making my own game and created my own template. After creating a set of over 100 cards, I have officially changed the name of my game, and thus want to rename the template files. If I do, my set will no longer load into Magic Set Editor. I don't want to type all the cards again in a new set.
Is there a way to rename the template files and keep using the existing set? Can I modify what game files the set points to?

Couldn't you just duplicate the template files, rename the duplicate to your desired name, change the style on every card to the renamed template (with the "use for all cards" in the Style section), then delete the original after there are no cards using it?

If I use a different style, I'll still be using the same game files.
Is there a way that I can change which game files my mse-set uses?

There is no easy way to switch out what game you are using. The better option to retyping every card by hand is getting a program that can edit zipped files such as 7zip, opening the .mse-set archive, and editing all instances of the old game name with the new one, particularly the second line that defines the game and the styling fields that define the templates.
