An ironclad figure scrutinizes Zetla from afar...Darksteel Volley Instant CARDNAME deals 3 damage to target attacking or blocking creature. If you control an artifact creature, instead exile that creature. The key to winning a battle is to fight fire with fire. Or, in this case, fight darksteel with more darksteel.(Flavor-wise, this represents a defensive measure in case something goes wrong, not something that's being used right away.

Darksteel Volley: Nothing wrong with this card, considering Dispatch. Although I would probably make it uncommon in most draft environments, as having 2+ of these is a nightmare. 8/10 "Be careful how you guard yourself. Listener's Apparatus: Resolving any scry X (where X is above 3) is abysmal which is why you rarely see anything more than scry 2. It just takes up way too much time. So being able to repeatedly scry X is a no-no. 3.5/10 "If you want your ears opened, behold the Great Dragon's teachings. of course you're right, I tend to design top down things and think about the consequences later, which I suppose I really need to work on. Thanks for that. On to your card.

Sabotage: I wish this cared a little bit more about the spell itself (like whether it was CMC 3 or less or something) because as-is the stapling effect feels a bit tacked on as mostly just a timing restriction. Card still works though. 7.5/10.

I hope this meta-esque lore behind the attack is ok with you, I can change it otherwise. "Not enough people are trying to kill Zetla for my liking", said a letter signed 'David' Rekal had received along with a bag of precious gems from an intermediary of his mysterious employer. He wasn't sure why he of all people had been hired, as he had little experience dealing with mind-breaking magic. "They probably just don't deem my thoughts of any importance", he imagined. He then drew his weapon and abandoned that thought in favour of a head on charge, accompained by a bloodcurdling war cry.Savage Cry Instant Target creature you control gets +X/+X and gains trample until end of turn. An acoustic and percussive assault.

Meeting of Minds Enchantment At the beginning of each player's upkeep, they may choose another player. If they do, both of those players draw a card. "It is truly wonderous what you can find in the mind of another."A gift, or not, as Zetla sees fit.

Deafen: Well, this lets you potentially chain madness triggers, which is always a bit powerful, but it's a very original card I think, reminds me a bit of Conflagrate (other than just Death Wind I mean). I think it's most likely fine. 9/10 "What!?", Rekal shouts. "I can't hear you! ...Wounds damn it, I can't even hear myself now! Aaagh!" Dragonwitch Totem: What a lovely card. Fits nicely into cycling/madness/hellbent builds really nicely and plays into one of my current favorite archetypes. Plus, card selection! What's not to love? If only that second ability weren't so awkward when compared to the first one, now your dragon is tapped 9/10 ZephyrPhantom "Efficient, ruthless, and delicately crafted. It would please Quezrotal greatly to have this. Thank you."Admire Instant Untap target artifact. Draw a card. Curse of Artifice: Unfortunately as I am unable to deal with enchantments in either of my colors Preservation Charm was the best I can do. It circumvents any need to cast from madness/graveyard by just returning something to my hand. Curse of Artifice is something I'm not sure about. I can't find precedent for "as an additional cost to cast, discard your hand," and as a player can have 0 cards in their hand to discard ( Dangerous Wager) I don't know if this card does anything. If it does, sweet. If not, not sweet. I can only give it a 5/10 until proven otherwise Lady Mapi "Such a shame. I think I used Curse of Artifice against the wrong person . The whole idea behind it is that you stick it on someone and suddenly they have a choice between getting mana out of their mana rocks or having cards in their hand. Or, in the case of Preservation Charm, you have to be really sure that the creature you're fishing out of your graveyard is worth the rest of the cards in your hand. I'll accept the 5/10, though - it's not my best work. Anyway, back to the back-and-forth at hand: "I'm not sure your teachings would be of much use, in all honesty. Your mental attacks are clumsy and predictable."Sorcerous Snare Instant - Trap Sorcerous Snare costs to cast if an opponent has discarded a card this turn. Counter target spell unless its controller pays an additional . If they do, draw a card. Unfortunate Tragedy is dripping with style - it also addresses the Curse indirectly, since you're whittling down your own hand (and probably triggering Madness along the way), therefore diminishing any losses you might run into. I'm going to give it an 8/10.

Dracodeus nods quietly in respect, and strides away from Zetla's domain, back towards the direction of his hovel.Snap, I'd been so caught up in making a different take on the Keyrunes that I hadn't realized that interaction. I'm going to have to think of some other way to work around potentially repeatable looting if I can't use tapping. Admire: I kept thinking of Twiddle when I was looking over this card and a quick search of "untap target artifact" and "untap target permanent" seems to confirm to me that this effect tends to appear much more in blue. Red does get small graceful cantrips like these and it has perfect synergy with my gift, though. 8/10
