The god emperor snapped his fingers, and a golden orb that burned like the sun appeared in front of him. He cast his gaze down at the planeswalker that knelt before him. "I was reasonable in my demands for this plane, there was no need for bloodshed. But outright rebellion isn't something that can be tolerated. Do you have any last requests?" The kneeling planeswalker raised his gaze solemnly, meeting Tzhai's eyes. "Before you kill me, let me tell you a story. One with a rise and fall, one that will remind you of something that you've forgotten. Please, Emperor Tzhai, give me an hour to convince you that you've made a mistake." There was a pause, as Tzhai considered the request. He had the time to spare, and with a curt nod he let the storyteller, this Azamir, begin his tale. The tale of the Fall of Golden Company. Little did Tzhai realize that he'd already played directly into Azahmir's hands, and this tale would only be the first of many.
Storytime is my take on 101 Nights, with each card depicting a critical moment in a story. The set is made up of 101 cards, 97 rares and 4 mythics. It is intended boht as a collection of interesting cards, as well as cards for constructed play (and it is one of the two newest additions to the MSEM format). The set only contains one recurring keyword, Storied: "Legendary permanents and enchantments are storied." There are several mechanical throughlines beyond that (wizard tribal, soldier tribal, mono colored/basics matter), and one other new mechanic, embracing the set's place in digital Magic rather than paper Magic: The set is complete, and can be found on Planesculptors (although 4 of the cards have changed due to MSEM rebalancing, and will be updated at the end of the month). A MSE download link can be found here, although it'll be updated at the end of the month as well.

- this new design trend focusing on exploring space paper magic can't is one I'm cautiously optimistic about - storied's neat - 1001 Nights But It's Two Planeswalkers is very lovely as a set concept

Ok, so I took the coward's way out and was expecting more spoilers before commenting, but I'm gonna just go ahead and say it. Even though I like innovative MtG design that plays with the fact that we can now play it on a virtual console, I'm not at all a fan of this spell copy effect, it just feels too Hearthstone-y for my taste. I have seen some other cards and am loving it, and as I am typing this I'm realizing you released the set directly rather than do a spoiler season so this is even more delayed that it should've XD.

Sorry, I should've made it clear I wasn't doing a spoiler season. I promise I'll do that for the next set though Your critique of the mechanic as "too Hearthstone-y" is a common one, and while I can understand it as a knee jerk reaction, I think dismissing digital style designs is an unnecessary limitation on us as designers. Hearthstone has some genuinely fantastic designs that only work because it is a digital client, and some genuinely awful designs that could exist in a physical card game. In essence, I think that that line of critique isn't a good one. I think there are reasonable critiques with the design (you basically always want to run 4x copies, the scaling makes it two halves of the same combo, shuffling isn't fun and this requires more shuffling, requiring players to have 20+ extra copies of a card in order to play with it doesn't work for a real witzards set), but those were things that I thought of, weighed, and accepted. Not that you have to like the design, but I did want to respond to that critique because I've gotten it a fair bit and I'm not convinced it's an actually reasonable one.
