sdfkjgh: Oh. Good to know. Armed Kite Artifact - Vehicle Flying : ~ loses flying and gets -1/+2 until end of turn. Activate this ability only once each turn. Crew 1 "I'm falling, so I'm taking my time on my ri-i-i-i-ide!"2/2

Legendary Sorcery (You may cast a legendary sorcery only if you control a legendary creature or planeswalker.) Exile the top X cards of each player’s library. Starting with you, each player chooses a nonland card not chosen by another player from among those cards and casts it without paying its mana cost.

Flo00 : You might be right. I didn't think about this. Cyclops of the Blood Hills Creature - Cyclops Warrior Trample Pay half your life, rounded up: Exile Cyclops of the Blood Hills. Any player may activate this ability. It won't stop until it is sated. And its thirst is as tremendous as itself.5/5 Might be a junk rare, but I think it's good. Should take a good chunk of life early game.

I'd say that is probably better suited, the only comparison there is Qal Sisma Behemoth. And I fear that any lower of a mana cost would be either beneficial to your opponents (Hunted Horror, Sheltering Ancient, and Tempting Wurm) or requires work to use (Ludevic's Test Subject, Lupine Prototype, and Myr Superion).

Holy hell, @kinoterapy, that's an excellent design! There's just one thing that's bugging my Melvin. 3/3 for four is a little on the small side for a Dragon (yes, it's been done before, but it still bugs me). However, it'd be perfect for a Drake, especially since Drakes are more often found in the environments described in your also excellent flavor text.
You are free to take or leave this extremely minor critique; it just bugged me.

ty ty. It started off as a 2/2 drake for 3 but I changed it to dragon when I made it bigger, I dunno why really. Looking at existing dragons / drakes I'd change it back but egh, I'd have to redo the flavour text.. If I ever put it in a set or enter it into a contest though, sure.

Time Spiral block gave us a return to guild colored Slivers and the set I'm working on will include Slivers, but just the runts and weaklings that survived The Cleansing. So would would survive? Not the strong pure bloods (mono/guild colored) but the Shard/Wedge colors. So here's my attempt at a new breed of uncommon Slivers for a new dawn.
These are all subject to change, so please let me know what you think.
~Zuty
Creature - Sliver Slivers you control have exalted. 2/2 Creature - Sliver All Slivers are artifacts in addition to their other types. 2/2 Creature - Sliver All Slivers have Prowess.
2/2
All Slivers have Devour 1.
2/2
Whenever a Sliver blocks or becomes blocked by a creature, it deals 2 damage to that creature.
2/2 All Slivers have “Whenever this creature attacks, Fateseal 3.”
2/2
Slivers you control have Explore.
2/2
Whenever a Sliver attacks, target creature can’t block this turn.
2/2
Each Sliver assigns combat damage equal to its toughness rather than its power.
2/2
All Slivers have "Whenever this creature attacks, clash with an opponent. If you win, put a +1/+1 counter on this creature.”

They're slivers alright. Some of these seem truly awkward-- like the one that turns your slivers into Dorans, which would be cool if these didn't all have square stats. Some of these are also more awkward than others, like the ones that grant devour and explore and thus do nothing for your on-board slivers.

Round 2 of designs go go go Gremlin Leader Creature - Goblin Warrior Double strike, trample CARDNAME's gets +1/+0 for each creature you control. Whenever CARDNAME enters the battlefield or attacks, reveal the top four cards of your library. You may put a creature with power 2 or less among them on the battlefield and the rest of those cards on the bottom of your library in a random order. "We're not done yet!" 0/6 Goblin Nob Creature - Goblin Giant Trample Whenever an opponent casts a spell on your turn, put a +1/+1 counter on CARDNAME. "RRRRROORGH!"2/2

I'd like to apologize for my earlier thoughtlessness. Anyway, back to your scheduled Happy Fun Card Time! Delicious Goat Creature - Goat Whenever you sacrifice Delicious Goat, you gain 2 life. Then put an additional +1/+1 counter on any creature that devoured it. 2/2 Faniel, Dreamer of Realities Planeswalker - Faniel Reveal the top card of your library. If it's a creature card, manifest it. Exile target creature, then its controller manifests it face-down. You gain an emblem with "face-down creatures you control have +3/+3, trample, and flying." Then manifest your hand. Invoke The Hidden Enchantment Face-down creatures you control have +1/+1 and " , sacrifice this creature: Draw a card." Morph Secrets hide secrets, wisdom hides wisdom.

@gorgonzola: Who's John Samuel Kerrick?
I dreamed this:
Glowing Hellscape Land , Put a glow counter on Glowing Hellscape: Add , , or . You lose 1 life for each glow counter on Glowing Hellscape. Pay for each glow counter on Glowing Hellscape and remove them, , Sacrifice Glowing Hellscape: Roll a six-sided die. on a 1, 2, or 3, create X 1/2 black Insect creature tokens with deathtouch, where X is the number of glow counters on Glowing Hellscape. On a 4 or 5, create an X/X blue and red Wurm creature token with trample. On a 6, create an X+3/3 black and red Demon creature token with flying and trample. Activate this ability only during your turn.
I thought that mebbe this could be the first use of glow-in-the-dark ink.

Thank you again voltaic-qui for being the only one giving me feedback. I know most of them will have to be "{X}: SOMETHING HAPPENS." Just gotta find the feeling for what these colors can do that follow the ideology of those colors while also feeling new. Will just have to do more digging for hidden gems.

I saw this, and was immediately inspired to create this:
Identity Stone Tribal Artifact--Shapeshifter As Identity Stone enters the battlefield, choose a card name. Each card in your library has the chosen name.
Does this work the way I hope it does?

Just came up with these two:
Ada of Mirrors Legendary Planeswalker--Ada : Populate. : Proliferate. : Create a token that's a copy of target creature. : Populate, then populate, then populate, then proliferate, then proliferate, then proliferate.
Ada's Reflection Creature--Reflection Minion Ada’s Reflection enters the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it. When Ada’s Reflection enters the battlefield, proliferate. 0/0
New, unrelated design:
Slime Cannon Artifact , : Slime Cannon deals X damage to target creature or planeswalker an opponent controls. Create an X/X green Ooze creature token.

I'm going to put this here, toying around with a mechanic for my plane of Shelon. The mechanic is a weird mix of suspend, rebound, and unearth. I think it works out pretty okay. {Return}

burntsquirrelman : That's actually a pretty nice mechanic, but did you intend for it to be reusable with bounce? If not, you might wanna check the wording of unearth again: Dregscape Zombie. That "or if it would leave the battlefield" bit is pretty important.
Started reading Seth, proobably better known as SaffronOlive's spoiler of Goblin Trashmaster, and was immediately inspired to make this:
Goblin Firelord Creature--Elemental Goblin Wizard If a source you control would deal damage to one or more permanents and/or players, if that source is a Goblin or an Elemental, it deals that much damage plus 1 to each of those permanents and/or players instead. 3/4
Fanatical Firebrands get so much better.
New card, inspired by Paladin of Atonement:
Imago of Vitality Creature--Elemental Imago of Vitality enters the battlefield with X +1/+1 counters on it, where X is the amount of life you’ve gained this turn. Whenever you gain life, put that many +1/+1 counters on Imago of Vitality. Whenever an opponent gains life, remove that many +1/+1 counters from Imago of Vitality. Remove three +1/+1 counters from Imago of Vitality: It gains “Whenever Imago of Vitality deals damage, you gain that much life” and “Whenever Imago of Vitality is dealt damage, you gain that much life” until end of turn. 0/0

Gaea's Vengeance Instant As an additional cost to cast this spell, discard a land card. Destroy target artifact or enchantment. Retrace (You may cast this card from your graveyard by discarding a land card in addition to paying its other costs.)
Because IT is Providence! still has a few weaknesses that need shoring up.

Creature - Sliver Slivers you control have Slivershift X, where X is equal to its converted mana cost minus 1. (When this creature dies, you may return target Sliver card with converted mana cost X or less from your graveyard to your hand.) 2/2
Is this worded properly for what I want it to do? I used Birthing Pod as a reference. The keyword name is a filler for right now, but it's Soulshift (currently [TYPE]shift <#>) for whatever [TYPE] it is set to.
I'm trying to have my cycle of Shard/Wedge slivers only grant keywords instead of activated abilities. My original idea for Dega was to have it grant Devoid, then I tried to work Eternalize in there and that was not going to happen ...
I'm also looking for a keyword for Naya and Jund, so any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

EDIT:
Detainer Priest Creature--Vedalken Cleric When Detainer Priest enters the battlefield, choose the name of a card other than Detainer Priest or a basic land. For as long as Detainer Priest is on the battlefield, cards and permanents with the chosen name lose all abilities and can’t attack or block. 1/3
I just had a thought. Does this make the rules go all kablooey when you have one of these out, then cast a second one naming itself?
Thanks, burntsquirrelman, you've saved my card design! Now I want you to admit this is why you chose your name, so one day, someone would give you the superhero thank-you.

I just had a thought. Does this make the rules go all kablooey when you have one of these out, then cast a second one naming itself? It seems like it would end up causing problems, so, you would just add in that it can't name itself, like what Detention Sphere does or something. Anywho! I had been reading a topic that Maro had been discussing with peeps on his Tumblr, Blogatog, about designing a card that cannot be dealt with. The premise of the thought experiment is to create a card that cannot be dealt with, working within the rules of magic while not necessarily limiting only to things that already exist. Some things that people recognized as hard to get around were cards like Sudden Spoiling, which removes all abilities and such. Here is my solution to this Thought Experiment.

Deathseeker Chieftain Creature-- Dwarf Barbarian Creatures you control have martyrdom 2. (Whenever that creature attacks, you may have it get +2/+0 until end of turn. If you do, sacrifice it at the beginning of the next end step.)
Whenever a creature you control is martyred, it gains trample until end of turn. "There is no hope for any of us who defy the Ashen Lord. The best we can do is make our deaths mean something."
3/3 Does this design evoke "Dark Fantasy" to you?
