{Spoiler}That's a fun new spin to conspiracies. The delayed shipments in particular gives you an interesting choice if you rather need a card in your deck or when you are close to death. I can imagine all sorts of things to do with this mechanic. The reminder might also say that aren't in your deck. Then again, it's just a reminder, so it might not need to be that specific. Ah yes, that probably should have made it in there, but I did want to leave space for potentially longer texts on the card as well. Thanks for the win! My first one!! :D Next keyword: Inscribe / Inscribed / Inscription, (etc)Inscryption?
Inscrybe (An inscrybed creature loses all types, becomes an inscryption aura enchantment, gains "the enchanted creature has this permanents other abilities," and "the enchanted creatures power and toughness are increased by this permanent's power and toughness, then attaches to another creature.) Grimora, Writer of Epithets // The Raven Master's Quill | Grimora, Writer of Epithets Three Generic and Three Black
Legendary Planeswalker — Grimora
Whenever a non-token creature with one or more -1/-1 counter on it dies, inscrybe it onto a target creature. +1:Distribute three -1/-1 counters among up to three target creatures. -3:Put three -1/-1 counters on each creature. -12:Exile all permanents, hands, graveyards, and libraries. Each player gets an emblem with “If you would draw a card, you may put a land card in exile on to the battlefield under your control instead.” and “You may play cards exiled by Grimora, Writer of Epithets.”
4
| The Ravenmaster's Quill Two Generic and a Black
Legendary Artifact
Whenever an enchanted creature dies, any inscryptions attached to it return to being creatures. Two generic, Two black, Tap, and Exile two cards from your graveyard: Create a token copy of one then inscrybe the other onto it.

Everything I come up for this challenge is either a version of imprint or a version of haunt/ cypher. Well, let's go this this one: Rune of Protection Instant - Rune Target permanent has ward until end of turn. Inscribe (Then you may exile this spell card inscripted on an artifact you control.)The artifact inscribed with Rune of Protection has ward . Rune of Awakening Instant - Rune Untap target permanent. Inscribe (Then you may exile this spell card inscripted on an artifact you control.)Whenever you cast an instant or sorcery spell, untap the artifact inscribed with Rune of Awakening. Rune of Greed Sorcery - Rune You draw a card and lose 1 life. Inscribe (Then you may exile this spell card inscripted on an artifact you control.)Whenever the artifact inscribed with Rune of Greed becomes tapped, you draw a card and lose 1 life. Rune of Power Instant - Rune Target creature gets +2/+2 until end of turn. Inscribe (Then you may exile this spell card inscripted on an artifact you control.)As long as the artifact inscribed with Rune of Power is a creature, it gets +2/+2. As long as the artifact inscribed with Rune of Power is attached to a creature, that creature gets +2/+2. Rune of Energy Instant - Rune Add three mana in any combination of colors. Inscribe (Then you may exile this spell card inscripted on an artifact you control.)Whenever the artifact inscribed with Rune of Energy is tapped for mana, add one mana of a color it produced. Ancient Guardian Artifact Creature - Golem Guardian Ancient Guardian gets +2/+2 for each Rune inscibed into it. : Add one mana of any color. 2/2 I know Rune is already an Enchantment subtype. The flavor was so perfect, I just had to use it as a spell type.

Rules: 1) Inscribing a card don't make you literally write a word in the card, it is just a reminder.
2) Whenever a card changes zones, all inscribed names dissapear from the card.

Feedback: { hydraheadhunter }I like the ability, once read through it makes intuitive sense and can easily be tracked with the cards themselves. I think this is what mutate should have been. { Flo00 }I really like this!! Having the spell "live on" in the form of some trigger-based lingering effect is really neat and I can see a ton of design space with it (as can be seen by your many examples). If there is ever a set on Muraganda or a Return to Kaldheim, I really hope something like this comes along. Maybe these can be of subtype Glyph. { Sanfonier of the Night}I'm a fan of your use of all forms of the keyword (inscription, inscribe, inscribed)! I like how you set these on Conspiracy, it fits that quite well, and having card names matter is I think a generally underused mechanic. Your cards are also quite interesting in design. {Winner}This was a tough one since I did like all submissions, but I'll give this one to Flo00 .

Thanks for the win vizionarius , glad you liked it. I always try to make a cycle or something similar when I manage to come up with something for this challenge. The idea is that I think it woudn't be a good mechanic if I couldn't do that, so its a bit of a self-test. I was a bit afraid those cards were too strong because they basically turn into Auras that can't be removed. Next challenge: anonymous. Scrath that, I just had a better idea: raceAs allways, you can use any meaning or form of the word. (racing, racist, ...)

As allways, you can use any meaning or form of the word. (racing, racist, ...) Some people like to live dangerous... I just couldn't think of any other word that includes race in the meaning of a category of beings. Flo00: Is it ok if race is couched in the reminder text of another keyword? Let's stick to the classic ways of this game and let the name of the keyword include race in some way.

Sorry for the delay, I was distracted doing stuff, I may finally be out of my way of unemployment.
For the next entry you shall do a Keyword that do stuff with one or more of on of the four main artifact tokens of the game (Blood, Clue, Food and/or Treasure.)
Good Luck to all of you.

Mercantile: A creature with mercantile deals damage to a player in the form of that creature's controller creating that many tapped Treasure tokens (this damage doesn't affect life total). The act of creating these tokens counts as damage being dealt when assessing if a creature has dealt damage. Also introducing a new creature class: Merchant. Decided to go with the Kaladesh setting since it fit the best with what I had in mind. Ghirapur Purveyor Creature - Vedalken Merchant Mercantile (~ deals damage to players in the form of you creating that many tapped Treasure tokens.)2/3 Assign to Trade Duty Enchantment - Aura Enchant creature you control Enchanted creature has mercantile and vigilance. (It deals damage to players in the form of you creating that many tapped Treasure tokens.)Night Market Thief Creature - Aetherborn Rogue Menace, mercantile (~ deals damage to players in the form of you creating that many tapped Treasure tokens.)2/1 Inventors' Exhibit Hall Legendary Artifact Creatures deal combat damage to you as though they had mercantile. (They deal damage to you in the form of their controllers creating that many tapped Treasure tokens.)Whenever a creature deals combat damage to you, create a tapped Treasure token. The Exhibit Hall is treated as a sacred place where the most exquisite of inventions get traded.

Glitter-Finger Outcast Creature - Dwarf Rogue Treasurelink (Damage dealt by this creature causes you to create that many Treasure tokens. (They’re artifacts with “, Sacrifice this artifact: Add one mana of any color.”)): Glitter-Finger Outcast gains +1/+0 until end of turn. You can’t spend more that one mana of each color each turn to activate this. He’s got more places to hide gems in his wardrobe than he got hair in his beard.1/1 Squirrellink is a thing, so why not this? Edit: Added p/t. Thanks for the catch hydraheadhunter!

Thanks for the win! Next challenge is to come up with a keyword that has to do with forming pairs or tying objects together. Think soulbond, partner with, cipher, haunt, etc. Keep it a true 1-to-1 mechanic.

Post by vizionarius on Mar 8, 2022 18:13:08 GMT
I mean that it should lead to 2 objects becoming linked or work together somehow, but not more than that. The best example of this is soulbond, where each creature can be paired with only the other, and not to any additional objects. A 1-to-many would be something like bands with, where there is a chance to have the source object be linked with multiple other objects. But I'll be flexible with this, since it may not be that intuitive, and might be a little too limited. {Diagram}
