Lineage Master Artifact Creature--Construct Xenograft (: Add or remove a creature type from this. Redundant creature types can’t be added.) As long as a creature you control shares a creature type with Lineage Master, that creature gets +1/+1 for each of its creature types. Reach, vigilance, haste Lineage Master has trample as long as it has two or more creature types. The same is true for first strike and three or more, lifelink and four or more, flying and five or more, double strike and six or more, deathtouch and seven or more, hexproof and eight or more, indestructible and nine or more, and curiosity and ten or more. (Whenever this permanent deals damage to a player or planeswalker, you may draw a card.) 1/1
Yes, unless it has no creature types, it always shares a creature type with itself.
Add means it gets it in addition to its other types. I didn't wanna hafta keep spelling it out, so I figured I'd go with the elegant solution. Why would xenograft remove creature types, you may ask?
Engineered Pandemic Tribal Sorcery Multikicker—Xenograft (: Add or remove a creature type from this. Redundant creature types can’t be added.) Destroy each creature that shares a creature type with this spell.
Sheltering Bulwark Creature--Wall Xenograft (: Add or remove a creature type from this. Redundant creature types can’t be added.) Other creatures you control that share a creature type with Sheltering Bulwark get +0/+1. 0/4
Xenografter Tribal Artifact--Shapeshifter All other noncreature permanents are Tribal in addition to their other types. Xenograft (: Add or remove a creature type from this. Redundant creature types can’t be added.) , Remove a creature type from Xenografter: Add the removed creature type to target permanent that doesn’t already have that type.

Modelled after Grafted Exoskeleton and Grafted Wargear, Xenograft is a variation on the equip ability which would see the equipment forcefully attached to another players creature; similar to how phyrexians would do the thing. If it becomes unattached the creature dies. Xenograft <cost> (Attach this equipment to a creature you don't control. That creature's controller gains control of this permanent. If it would later become unattached from that creature, that creatures controller sacrifice it. Activate only as a sorcery.)
Corpse-claw Prototype 2 generic Artifact - Equipment Graft Equipped creature gets +2/+0. Grafted creature gets +4/-2 and has menace. Equip 1 Xenograft 3

hydraheadhunter - Just wondering, why does it have to be a creature you don't control? Seems like there could be some interesting applications for modal equipment if used on your own creatures.

hydraheadhunter - Just wondering, why does it have to be a creature you don't control? Seems like there could be some interesting applications for modal equipment if used on your own creatures. the root xeno means outside, foriegn, alien, or different, etc, so it makes sense that it would apply to creatures you don't control from a linguistics perspective; from a flavor perspective, I'm think of phyrexians forcibly grafting this stuff onto unwilling particapants, which results in negative side effects compare to when the the thing is just attached. And mechanics and design-wise, I really don't want to accidently create another skullclamp, so I built the design to be harder to exploit in that way.

Sanfonier of the Night The activation costs all being different, or at least worded differently, makes it hard to understand this ability keyword. Put putting counters on creatures makes sense overall. The white mana activation to make a defender is an odd fit. In the end I wish it wasn't a trade-off between discarding a card for a small effect or playing the card. sdfkjgh I like the flavor of creature types and the keyword, but the reality of tracking that information is too much for me. lordpat The power trade-off involved with moving the +1/+1 counters is okay. I wish I didn't have to also choose between killing my creature to possibly enable another. Like Avrel Visitator can only safely move 1 counter. hydraheadhunter I like the idea of grafted equipment. I think it's a memory issue of whether the equipment was equipped or grafted, or like when something gets "attached" is that default to equipped? Winner lordpat

Yes. I like both mechanics. I think Flo0's mechanic is good but a bit confusing, it reminds me to morph/foretell but with an additional cost of revealing a creature card + cycling. However, and this is hard to put into words, but it's a bit... much. You have to pay 2, reveal a creature of this type, you exile this card (face-up) , then you draw a card and you can play this card from exile for its cost (that sometimes includes discards cards/tapping creatures). I like the idea of having "tribal" cards in instants and sorceries. And the fact that this also works with card types. Clearly there is a lot of space here too. The flavour isn't very direct but I still think it works fine as a mechanic. I really dig Ymnohra's mechanic, although I have my issues with it. I think it should be a may ability, because otherwise you'll be forced to reveal your entire deck if you don't have a dragon on your deck. It's intresting how it works as a tutor kind of card, but having it die to me makes it a bit on the slow side and requires your opponent to do stuff. Although on the flipside, it means that your opponent has more of a say on it and can play around it. Still, it's gonna feel real bad when this gets exiled or bounced. Maybe have it be a leave the battlefield trigger? That could be more dangerous. I would have liked to see lower rarity versions of this mechanic, as I think it could be a bit on the strong side, with all of these cards being 2 for 1's- As I said, I think both mechanics are pretty good imo, but I'm gonna give the win to Flo00 mainly because of quantity of cards made. Design space is an important part of mechanic design and there is clearly a lot of flexilibility here.

Thanks for the win lordpat! I played around with some versions of this. A mix of cycling + foretell is what I settled for.
Next challenge: Which object is closest to your right hand that is not part of your computer/phone or other device you're using to read this? Use that object's name as the basis for a keyword!

Hmm. Geiger counter, cock ring, cock ring, dildo, USB stick, disco stick, rotting cucumber, fake dog doo, real dog doo, bowl of chocolate ice cream that somehow never melts, wad of chewing gum from 1977 (both before I was born, and before the table it's on was made), envelope from the Social Security Administration, axel grease, lube, industrial lube, diet cherry industrial lube, Art Deco sculpture of the Red Baron's Sopwith Camel made by Erté entirely out of old Pabst Blue Ribbon cans, promotional materials produced by Pabst for the Pro Bull Riding circuit (it seems obvious, but it's never been done before in this reality), 1/16th life-sized sculpture of Corey Ryan "The Buttercream Dream" Forrester made entirely out of his crystallized sweat (a la Marc Quinn's Self), life-sized model of Corey Chase made to look like she's tied up to my wall, Corey Chase actually tied upto my wall, and a Lik-M-Aide stick. I don't think any of these are appropriate for the Challenge. And let's not even get started on what's on my left side! #ShitpostingOnTheSevens

That reminds me of an Un- design of my own:
You'd Best Stay Inside Instant If you are playing indoors, You’d Best Stay Inside deals 2 damage to any target. If you are playing outside, You’d Best Stay Inside deals 4 damage to that target instead. If you’re playing outside while it’s raining, You’d Best Stay Inside deals 6 damage to that target instead. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ERRATA: You can’t move outside during a game. If you’re playing inside while it’s raining outside, we’ll throw you a bone & say that You’d Best Stay Inside deals 3 damage to that target instead. Don’t say we never do nothin’ for ya.

{sdfkjgh}While I like the ability, I don't think it's a good keyword. A keyword should be something that you can use on several cards in a set. Doing this with security would uncomfortably slow down any format.
I like the idea of someone insisting to play outside in the rain just to get You'd Best Stay Inside to work wonders.
{ZephyrPhantom}If I understand the idea behind Penmanship right, it allways asks for a card drawn to be of the same color as the spell (or maybe permanent) that draws you the card. That's a nice mechanic for a monocolor-themed set. Since every color can get cantrips, I imagine it primary in , secondary in and and tertiary in and . {vizionarius}That's a fun new spin to conspiracies. The delayed shipments in particular gives you an interesting choice if you rather need a card in your deck or when you are close to death. I can imagine all sorts of things to do with this mechanic. The reminder might also say that aren't in your deck. Then again, it's just a reminder, so it might not need to be that specific. {Ymonrah}<name>staple seems like an interesting mechanic for both limited and constructed. I'm a bit worried about checkability. Then again companions work as well. The card itself seems pretty strong, especially for a . Given the restrictive staple ability I see why, I still think it should be less common. {viriss}Taht's an interesting way of using face down tech. I like how unlike morph and manifest this rather turns your opponent's stuff face-down. I imagine it would take a special set to put this keyword in since it hates auras, equipment and counters, yet the set should run a certain number of those so you can unmask your creatures. I guess a good number of equipment is the easiest way to ansure this keyword works in good numbers.
{sorsal}Very funny. Does direct sunlight include sunlight that shines through a window? You know Shade is a creature type? {ameisenmeister}That's a very open ability. I can imagine a ton of great things to do with it.

Sunlight through a window counts. I wanted to avoid reflected light to stop arguments of 'yeah, this mirror I'm holding is shining sunlight onto your card.' Also, wish I thought to look through card types in addition to keywords, I only saw that no card had shade as a keyword. Ah well, lesson learned.
