ameisenmeister and vizionarius: First off the red Germ was a mistake; it's supposed to be white. Whatever the color of the equipment is, that's the color of the Germ. Second, my apologies about the living aspect mechanic. I was trying to go with the X-form cards from Fate Reforged. Please check the edit if it now works.

Plague Erradicator Artifact Creature - Cat Construct Network (Whenever you cast an artifact spell, untap this. This ability triggers only once each turn.): Target player loses 1 life and you gain 1 life. The Ancient Minds gave it a vicious mind and a purring voice box to match.2/3 Netowrk is meant to represent the artifacts pulling together in one large, interconnected but sparse web of machines. The once each turn should open up design space. I think it's a good idea to use tap as the defining factor for artifacts in a (possibly) artifacts vs enchantments theme.

Delve into the Ancestry Instant Reveal at the top five cards of your library. You may put an immaterial card among them into your hand and the rest into your graveyard. ( Instants, sorceries and enchantments are immaterial.) , exile ~ from your hand: Target land you control gains " : add one mana of any color to your mana pool." I'd like for the mages mechanic to be something more than immaterial, but I think we could do a 2 mechanics per faction + living weapon as a mix between. Immaterial could also be just a general thing and not even a mechanic. Also, fixing. Not making treasures because that would break the symmetry me thinks.

C#8Wings of the Butterfly Enchantment Living aspect (When this enchantment enters the battlefield, it becomes an Aura with enchant creature. Create a 0/0 blue Germ creature token and attach this card to it.)Enchanted creature gets +1/+1 and has flying. The beauty of nature's patterns still live on.------- In order to clarify what color the germs are for living aspect and living weapon, I propose to use the color indicator symbol after the keyword. In order to make living weapon fit in with existing living weapon cards, the old cards would need to be errataed. If the existing cards created colorless Germs, then the rule could have been to always create a Germ of the color of the spell. But since they create black ones, we need something different to specify the color. Oh, also, just realize that the current living weapons also create a Phyrexian Germ... That wasn't the case when they were originally printed, so that's new to me (haven't noticed till now)... That's kind of unfortunate, but I think we should just revert them back to just being non-Phyrexian. {Example} Bonehoard Artifact — Equipment Living weapon (When this Equipment enters the battlefield, create a 0/0 black Germ creature token, then attach this to it.) Equipped creature gets +X/+X, where X is the number of creature cards in all graveyards. Equip

Last common!Ravell Striker Enchantment Creature - Rhino Trample At the beginning of combat on each of your turns, target creature can't block this turn. Presence (When this would die, if it's a creature, instead put a soul counter on it. It is no longer is a creature.) The ground still shivers, echoing footsteps long gone.5/4 This is a riff on a popular MSE mechanic, but it's probably worded differently. I dig the idea of the magic/enchantments having more of a graveyard/sac synergy and the artifacts being more of a building a board style of deal. Sorry for coming up with so many mechanics here, but there is still room for more! Specially on the artifact side.

Technically the booster is done, but wanted to get this Mythic in here: Vivien, Skallan Explorer Legendary Planeswalker - Vivien You may cast creature cards exiled with Vivien. +1: Exile the top card of your library. If it's a land card, put it onto the battlefield tapped under your control instead. -3: Exile target artifact or enchantment an opponent controls. If it was an Aura or Equipment, create a 0/0 red and green Germ token with three +1/+1 counters on it. -7: You get an emblem with "Creatures you control get +2/+2 and have trample and haste." 5 (Note, she can cast artifact and enchantment creatures that she exiles with her -3).

Sorry but I'm a tad too busy to post a full judging. The winner is vizionarius for Zarosian Monolith, a simple but elegant incorporation of lordpat 's network mechanic into a mana rock. Runner-up is lordpat for Soul of Affection and its reminisce mechanic, an interesting combination of evoke and aftermath. P. S. It's curious that nobody tried to dig into the lore too deeply, but what I had in mind was: The leader of a druidic sect (the one quoted in my reprint of Fracturing Gust) saw that the continued war between the artifice-inclined Zaros and the enchantment-inclined Va'nel would end their civilization as it was. The plane's name, Phermios, alludes to the Fermi paradox, one of the theories pertaining to which posits that "it is in the nature of intelligent life to destroy itself." As such, in order to prevent a climax to the war which could have apocalyptic implications, the head of the druidic sect tapped into the plane's leylines a la Nissa and cast a planewide Mass Polymorph targeting all humanoids, turning them all (including themself) into Germs. The humanoids, limited as they may be, are now striving to find a way to reverse this curse. In truth, the war didn't end with the casting of the spell; each side is intent on reversing the curse selectively, allowing them to crush the other faction once and for all. It is a race, then, as to who will be able to do so more swiftly.

Set Name
Season of the Mist Plane
Temporis Flavor
Temporis is a plane where seasons guide worshippers' rituals and has a large effect on how the inhabitants live their lives. Some place high importance on a single season, whereas other Orders focus on a couple each year, with the Egesh Clerics aligning themselves not with seasons, but the Mists, and await a great mystical event to come. A secretive but powerful group of Shamans, the Taltosh, believe that great powers can be unlocked during Eclipses. The Egesh and the Taltosh have their followers in the various other factions, but some are more drawn to their message than others. ThemesPhasing and Exile (which is also used as a resource for cards) play a prominent role in the set. Seasons are found to be important, and have a direct effect on gameplay. Lands are enchanted and sometimes have powers other than tapping for mana. FactionsWorshipers of the four seasons, interspersed throughout the plane:Winter ( ), Spring ( ), Summer ( ), Autumn ( ). Order of the Equinox, based in their walled abbeys ( ) Order of the Solstice, based in their forest villages ( ) The Egesh, based in towns by the edge of the Mists ( ) The Taltosh, based in the dark forests ( ) Aligned with the Egesh ( ) Aligned with the Taltosh ( ) Example Cards

Taltosh Shaman Creature - Elf Shamman When ~ enters the battlefield, sow a creature card from your graveyard. ( Exile it with a sow counter on it. At the beginning of your upkeep, you may pay to put a card you own in exile with a sow counter into your hand.) For the talosh, time is but a circle. They are unafraid of the changes of the skies, the nature and the stars, knowing that when the road is travelled, the moon and sun shall meet again.3/5
