I'm sorry for leaving you hanging for so long. vizionarius wins for the Emblem of the Warmind in curse version, opening up different gameplay patterns. Gorgon's Gift is a fine card but not too innovative. Bug Cursed Speech is a bit too convoluted for what it effectively does. Attention Seeker is the runner-up and a very nice design overall. I really like the concept of small, medium and large creatures. However, the aura doesn't feel that novel to me besides the new kexwords. Thanks for participating!

Thanks for the win!!
Next: We've received a few previews from Ixalan. Design a Pirate with an Adventure on it that would fit in the set!

Based on the commander decks, it appears as though pirates might have a subtheme of dealing with death. Considering ancient powers being discovered, vampires dealing with demons, I've seen speculation that the pirates might be working with the undead in this set, and their commander deck is around bringing them back from the grave bigger. I've leaned in on that, especially seeing as there also seems to be a power-based subtheme in the previews.

Feedbackviriss: Neat little multiplayer Adventure! I like how it feeds its creature side's effect. Very flavorful: "Come join me on my pirate adventure and let's fine maps and treasure!" I wonder what map tokens will be! Also... Dino Pirates!! serraphim: I like how the Adventure is basically Treasure Hunt. Nitpick on wording: "Mill cards until you mill a nonland card. Put that card into your hand." The creature side seems quite strong for 3 mana. A 3/1 FS is essentially a removal on the board, and it ETBs to kill a commander. Idea: I think the Adventure is a little weak. It might be OK to just have ether the sac or the discard. Might even be OK to give the player the choice. I do see that it helps feed the effects you have going on in the creature. Unearth is interesting for an Adventure card. Feels a bit like Mosswood Deadknight due to the grave part. Wording could probably be reduced to "~ enters the battlefield with and additional +1/+1 counter on it if it entered from your graveyard." The card itself has no way to be cast from the grave, so I think it's OK to leave that out. ResultGotta give this one to viriss for them dino pirates! Overall a very flavorful card.

Duskmourn: House of Horror
Seventies/eighties horror genre, Duskmourn is quite distinct as it’s actually one giant, creepy house, with weird rooms, scary corridors, and of course monsters from your darkest nightmares.
Edit: your card should have a black color identity

Well, let's start us off with a good ol' slasher. I do think this set will be walking the tightrope of not having too much overlap with Innistrad, but I wouldn't be surprised if mechanics like undying made their way there. Morbid I think might show up, but flavorfully it's more gothic than general horror at least in my mind. The biggest question might be - will it have transform? In Innistrad double-sided cards were introduced for the fear factor of horror, both representing the many transformative elements of it, and giving you a sense of dread of not knowing when something on the field might suddenly turn. These elements I think may still exist for at least some tropes of 70s/80s horror, but using double-sided here would be stealing the most iconic thing in Innistrad for the new horror set. One last thing, as presented in my card, I think they'd be remiss to not at least make allusion to the past black evasion keywords, namely fear.

Idea Menace and fear! Let's go! The brutality is too hard to grok. I keep thinking it has to a specific creature has to die twice, which isn't possible, so then I reread it. It's the "or targeted with an ability" that it doesn't have. I like the "idea" of expanding the trigger but keep looking for "how does this relate". It does fit with the slasher tropes that Innistrad doesn't use that much. Heck bring back fear! vizionarius Library Horrors. Never draw a card again? I wish this had a sacrifice for benefit out. ameisenmeister super functional 2/2! Reality Glitch That renegade is too powerful and must be stopped! By itself, it can make two creatures and pay to sacrifice one (the 1/1) into a 2/2. Then for each B you can double that token into a 4/4, 8/8, 16/16 for three more mana. Winner, ameisenmeister

Oh, no! I realized the power loop just now and log’d in to find it’s too late to fix it! I was going to add “Activate only once each turn.” so that you could still sac the token to create a more powerful token, without it scaling insanely with an already established mana base.

Victoria, the Final Girl Legendary Creature — Human Survivor 2/2 Protection from Auras, from Horrors, from Traps, from sorceries, and from creatures Victoria, the Final Girl can't block alone. At the beginning of your upkeep, if you control no other permanents, have no cards in hand, and own no cards in the command zone, you win the game. Partner

And it's judging time! Idea The flavor is dripping but the card looks very impractical. You're paying five mana and then you have to get hit by the same creature three times to finally destroy it and get one 2/2. Or you wait for another four turns (!) to get one 5/5 token. But only if you weren't hit by a creature in those four turns. It's also wordy as hell and quite hard to remember what exactly it does. viriss Nice concept of a card for a horror trope. Makes for crazy shenanigans in multiplayer but still works in one vs one. Would love to play some cheap etb dorks and switch them around to get my opponents' big beaters. Cool card! Reality Glitch I'm pretty sure you had a very specific flavor in mind when designing this card, but I don't get it. Why does it have protection from sorceries? How are you supposed to win with her ability when it even requires you to have no cards in your command zone? And why does it have partner of all things?! Barren Glory works because it's an enchantment. There are a lot of wrath effects that clean the board of all artifacts, creatures, lands, etc. but spare echantments. Also, enchantments are hard to interact with so the risk of getting blown out after you've literally sacrificed everything is minimal. With Victoria, the risk is much higher, even though she has some protection abilities. But eventually you'll end up with an overcosted 2/2 with some random protection abilities. {And the winner is...} Viriss!
All the designs were flavorful but only viriss had one that was also easy enough to understand and promised good gameplay. Thanks everyone for participating!

To be clear you do not have to be hit three times with the same creature. You have to be hit once with a creature and it dies in a few turns (sooner with profileferate. The numbers were designed a bit around the idea that proliferate or horror caring might be around) so long as it didn't lose its counters in one fashion or another. Still, you are right the card ended up quite wordy and I really couldn't think of a simpler way to word the effect I wanted for it, where it implants on those that get too close but grows itself if left unchecked.

Give me Bloomburrow! Bloomburrow is set on the plane of Bloomburrow, a world of anthropomorphic animals with no humans in it. This world is full of squirrels, frogs, rats, and rabbits, showing that even the smallest creatures can have a big impact. The animals have an advanced culture and are the main characters of the set. They wear clothing, talk and wield magic.

Cool first ability, but I'm confused on burrow. Tapped creatures already can't block, and you tap to burrow him. And it would be able to block anyway when you untap him.

Reality Glitch I think that's expoential growth, just with a slowed (enters tapped) rate. It's is strange to see a single rabbit creature multiply and to see an enchantment tap. Idea I get the burrow is hexproof for longer than just "end of turn", but second ability is harder to judge since the card doesn't have a way to trigger that ability and the base game only has the untap step which doesn't combo with it.
