It doesn’t provide consistent advantage for the rest of the game like Outpost Siege, making it more ideal for games with shorter clocks- clocks that the last ability helps speed up. Unfortunately, the chances for the last ability to trigger outside of a buildaround deck are slim- I took the average cmc of cards six cards from a few decks in different formats, and the numbers were pretty low (even EDH was only ~14). It gets you value and will sometimes randomly win the game, but either of those modes basically require you to ignore the other. Journey looks to be costed right at 4. Reanimating two creatures is powerful, but it’s telegraphed and has long enough of a delay for your opponent to prepare/hold cards. The card immediately made me remember Rescue from the Underworld (THS wew) as it’s also a flavorful design, just in Saga form. {Flo00} {hand}Old: CMC 10, Sorcery, Regenerate, white New: Dragon, blue, Shroud At first I wanted to make a CMC 10 Saga, that created Dragons, then I remembered the additional rule... Using blue and shroud: Building the Great Machine Enchantment - Saga I Create a 1/1 blue Homunculus artifact creature token for each artifact you control. II Creatures you control get +0/+2 and gain shroud until end of turn. III Search your library for an artifact card, reveal it and put it into your hand. Artifact spells you cast this turn have improvise. {dont you dare open this}Rise of the Dragons Enchantment - Saga I Create two 5/5 red dragon creature tokens with flying. II & III Put two +1/+1 counters on each Dragon creature you control. Both the first and last “steps” of Building are very good effects. The token making is solid even if you only get two or three Homunculi out of it (and lategame there’s a fair chance that number will be higher than three) thanks to the last abilty. Tutoring is very nice, and the cost reduction from the tokens is good synergy. The middle step is the awkward one, since granting them shroud and a toughness boost on a trigger means the trigger can be responded into in the upkeep. It doesn’t really make the tokens more likely to survive, which is a bit of a disconnect from the rest of the card. The potential power of the first/last ability make me cautious as well. I like the decisions this creates, since the tokens aren’t necessarily needed to kill the attacking creature. I think the mana cost is about right, especially since the forced attack comes two turns after you drop the Saga. The tokens having deathtouch makes this a bit difficult to fit into red vs. blue, but the card would work fine as either I believe. {Winner} The winner is fluffydeathbringer! Runnerup: Daij_Djan

Flo00: Using the obsoleted Regenerate does this card no favours, but the single-token approach can be justified in terms of effect smoothness. And yes, in terms of both immediate versatility and lasting board advantage, this ought to be a rare card. 2/5.
Xenagos: The canon Epic cards justify their hefty drawback because most of them either require no resources to be able to perpetuate themselves or rely on something that isn't easily exhausted (number of certain cards in yours/opponents' decks). God-Pharoah's Reign (sic) relies on a resource that is much more easily denied you: Surgical Extraction-ish effects are less frequent than graveyard exile is. That said, this card is a flavour homerun: Bolas' dominion and ravaging of Amonkhet is certainly Epic-worthy, and the mechanics carry the flavour through quite well in giving your opponent a steadily rising march of ferocious foes to deal with or be vanquished by. 4/5.
gamma3: Underpowered. buys one far more than just 0/4's worth of defender power at common ( Fortified Rampart is white's latest common defender, for reference), and splitting the body into two chump blocks' worth doesn't mitigate the weak board presence, especially considering the tokens are far more vulnerable to removal such as damage and bounce than a single 0/4 would be. 1/5.
arcaneArtist: A simple and deceptively versatile common, fit for a booster pack in a multicolor set. The power level feels just right as well, despite lack of canon precedent. 4/5.
augur: An interesting effect, and one that sets the mind thinking about what it is exactly that the expedition found at Guum Shrine. The power level is suspicious here, however, given how you're mostly quaranteed to get off the very notable board advantage on turn 5 if you play the Expedition on turn 2. 3/5.

Flo000: I like the name, and it's interesting to see a 0/5 vehicle. doesn't capture the neat flavor the original Akroan Horse did however.
Sibrand: Tribal crew is a cool idea, might need to up crew by zombies or the mana cost some.
Xenagos: I don't think the last clause was necessary in the activated ability, since i don't think it has a power to modify when it's not a creature. you might also be able to nudge the mana cost down a little.
