If you searched your library this way, shuffle. The grotto is empty, though several pallid creatures gather around it. The Beckoner takes note of the condition of the cavern, considering whether her home had anything similar. "I'll need to explore this further," she says to herself. Umbral Grotto: This effect feels somewhat out-of-place in , though I could see it in the right set, such as one centered around KLOS style creatures. Originally, I was also going to say that this is a bit on the cheap side, but judging from KHM's lands sacrifice effects on lands have gotten considerably better, and so this is probably fine. My main comparison point here is Gnottvold Slumbermound, which has a similarly powerful effect for a large sac effect. 8/10. Distorted Diver Creature - Eldrazi Drone Devoid (This creature has no color.) , Sacrifice Distorted Diver: Look at the top three cards of your library. Put one of them in your hand and the rest in your graveyard. If you control a creature with mana value 6 or greater, instead put each of them into your hand. 1/3

Fleur The grotto is cavernous, spacious, and lacking much of the things of life, yes, but not empty. Where the short-lived waves lapped against the stone floor, someone had left a meager offering to the sea, a tawdry wooden bowl with a few burnt offal remaining within it. It wasn't ancient, but it was obvious no one had come in here in some time. What harm could it be to provide something in their stead? Noxious Tribute Artifact Noxious Tribute enters the battlefield tapped.:: , , Sacrifice Noxious Tribute and another nonland permanent: Target creature gets -3/-3 until end of turn. Distorted Diver: A neat payoff for running huge Eldrazi that doesn't involve the weird restrictions of colorless. I would have costed the ability with blue at least, but this is fine as is. 8/10.

The Beckoner follows the spawn into the cavern. Even in the darkness of the cavern, she can see an altar of unknown origin. It left no ambiguity to its purpose however - a sacrificial altar of some sort. A purpose that the slithering spawn were more than happy to indulge. Noxious Tribute: I'm not sure that splitting the payment over two turns is worth getting only -3/-3. I think in all but the most Aura-heavy environments, such as Theros, I think this removal could be a decent bit stronger. I also question the use of on-board removal at common, as another potential issue here. Basically, this is an interesting and evocative idea, but one that I think works better at uncommon at a higher power level. 6/10.
Splitting Aberration Creature - Eldrazi Horror Devoid (This card is colorless.)Splitting Aberration enters the battlefield tapped. , Exile Skittering Aberration from your graveyard or from the battlefield: Create two tapped 3/2 colorless Eldrazi Horror creature tokens. Activate this ability only any time you could cast a sorcery. 3/2

FleurThe broken bodies offered upon the altar linger for a moment, drenching the rugged stone with their ichor which seeped from the plinth and into the still waters. It would seem the offer had gone unheard, if only for a moment, before something quickly snatched at the broken vessels from the cavern's depths, clutching one after the other in quick succession. Left in their wake something glimmered on the table. A silver-tinted compass, pointed directly to some other part of the arena. Someone had been watching..and was pleased... Seek Greather Depths Sorcery Reveal the top five cards of your library. Put up to two cards with mana value 7 or more into your hand, then put the rest into your graveyard. Fathoming power is the first step to acquiring it. Splitting Aberration: 9/10, I enjoy these clever niches for Eldrazi cards, and this one I like a lot in particular.

Fathoming power is the first step to acquiring it. Splitting Aberration: 9/10, I enjoy these clever niches for Eldrazi cards, and this one I like a lot in particular. Several moments pass before the Beckoner is fully sure that the spawn are actually dead - she is more than a little familiar with eldritch entities that refuse to expire. Once she's sure that they aren't there anymore, she grabs the compass and makes her way to the compass' destination. Maybe this would tell her something about her goal... Seek Greater Depths: This is a draw two for 2 mana, but the strict mana value restriction pushes this firmly into "neat buildaround" territory. I'm looking forward to playing this in an environment rife with alternate costs, such as evoke and emerge. 9/10. Walk Perilous Paths Instant Put X creature cards from your graveyard on top of your library in any order, then up to one target creature gets -X/-X until end of turn. To tread the path of the departed is to take a first step in joining them.
NB: The main reason why this isn't a devoid spell is because the one casting this is the Beckoner herself, rather than an Eldrazi or some kind of Eldrazi magic.

FleurThe compass yielded itself to the wanderer without challenge, and would lead her truthfully somewhere along the coast of the Arena. Surely, she'd find where it was taking her soon enough... Walk Perilous Paths: Necrotic Wound, plus recursion makes this interesting to evaluate. I instinctively want to give it 8/10, uncommon recursion gets to be a bit stronger on average, and this only returns to the top of the deck.

Enchantment All nonland cards are red. All nonbasic lands are Mountains. All nontoken creatures are Incarnations. Back on her home plane, Mira was quite used to unusual weather phenomenon, and the cold winters of the Arena that usually persisted in her area were in fact quite welcome. Raining acid, earthquakes, the occasionally tide of grey when the abominations intruded for the first time. So a blood red moon was unusual, but nothing to fear. She'd seen - and done - far weirder things, like walking beneath the water into a shipwrecked ship. That said, the blood red night and deathly silence keeps her awake. It's too interesting to fall asleep to, and even if she has her mission on the Arena, she can't help but feel fascination as she begins to take notes on the weather, noting any of its unusual properties, emergent wildlife, and other traits of it. It reminds her of that brief stretch of time she spent on Arcavios, just learning, taking notes, exploring... Mira has spent 100 points to unlock the Sorcery card type. Introduction to Exploration Sorcery - Lesson Introduction to Exploration deals X damage to target creature or planeswalker and you gain X life, where X is the number of colors of mana spent to cast it. The more you've already seen, the more dangerous it is to see other new things. (Interpreting Blood-Red Night as a gift. Here, it's allowing Mira access to red mana, which means she can cast Introduction to Exploration for a higher X value.) Blood-Red Night: It's a juiced up Blood Moon! Not sure if red can erase creature types like this, but I'm open to the idea. Being a high-density hate piece is kind of weird, but I think it's a healthier place for Blood Moon to be than for it to be very splashable. 8/10.

In the surreal stillness, off in the distance, the beckoner may notice birds perched on branches, elks between trees, or wolves in the shadows, all motionless, and all watching her with eyes reflecting red. Then, closer still, there appear vague impressions of creatures formed of misshapen eyes, tentacles, and plates of bone; they are much like the Eldrazi the beckoner observes, yet impure—too material, too easily defined, as though something disappointingly simple has been revealed by the moon's dire glow. Worthless Impression Enchantment Creature — Incarnation Bestow Enchanted creature loses all abilities and has base power and toughness 1/2. 1/2 Introduction to Exploration — Converge-like scaling on lessons is an interesting choice, though it really isn't worth much below three colours (which is about standard for converge). Without further context on what it'd be used with, I'll just leave it at a 9/10

"Fascinating - they've never exhibited these types of properties before," Mira notes. When they are revealed as being simple, Mira shows no disappointment, only further curiosity. "Simple in definition, but potentially related to the intruders. Appear to be related in nature to unusual weather phenomenon, specifically blood red moons and quiet winds - a migratory pattern across different worlds, perhaps. Resemble other extant species to a material degree, particularly the avian species. Further actions items. 1 - Consider whether other people might have knowledge of similar environments (contact other arena natives, longtime arena residents, Atlani perhaps?) 2 - Find other similar species. Meaning From the Mundane Sorcery You may cast Meaning From the Mundane as though it has flash if you return a creature you control to its owner's hand. Draw two cards. "In such unusual and terrible times, normalcy itself is notable." -Mira, Young HuntressWorthless Impression: A worthwhile expansion on design space for bestow. Not sure how often the front end is being cast, but it's nice to have as an option with the backside being there. 9/10.

Shortly after the final words are written, the light fades away to complete darkness, as though one has just closed their eyes, before the natural environment reappears under the pale silver light of the moon. All the bizarre life that was present only moments before has vanished, as though only a wayward dream in the night.
Meaning From the Mundane — Optional bouncing of your own creatures at instant speed is a relevant upside, not a downside; your development of this is not working as intended. The result is a tempo hit for a card advantage of three at instant speed if you do it in response to removal (with some tempo-tradeoff for your opponent as well). This makes the card unacceptably powerful (compare to the constructed plant Compulsive Patrol). It's also not the best response here, since some of my own tempo hit would be mitigated from Bestow not fizzling even if it loses a target. 6/10

Mira had only seen the one-armed robot once, and only at a distance. So perhaps the appearance of a gleaming blue rift with no apparent source would not have struck her as odd.
But as the rift turns black as Eldrazi blood, and a green ooze begins falling from the rift, hope begins to turn dangerous. A light smoke rises as the very ground burns from the ooze’s touch.
The flow increases, and the living green puddle rapidly grows towards Mira’s position.
Note: Reinforcements will be on the way for characters that need them

Note: Reinforcements will be on the way for characters that need them Mira's familiarity with the eldritch works well as she notes the similar, yet distinct, blackish blood. She pours a greyish liquid that she's engineered in her recent time on the Arena onto the corrosive ichor; a neutralizing agent of sorts against some types of eldritch decay. Most likely, the blood should curdle, "devouring itself" in the process, neutralizing any harmful compounds within. Ravenous Reaction Sorcery Target creature deals damage equal to its power to itself and damage equal to its toughness to its controller. The eldritch tendency for consumption was frightening, but it was also a predictable instinct that could be exploited. Bring Ruin Everlasting: Cool evasion card. Might want the backside to have a bit more power/bit less toughness so it does a bit less board clogging? 9/10

Rapid Replication Instant Choose target spell or ability with a single target. Copy it for each other permanent and/or player that spell or ability could target. Each copy targets a different one of those permanents and/or players. The ooze nearest Mira reviles at the agent but more and more of the goo comes forth, trying to eat away at it right back. The ooze's size ebbs and flows, and the growth seems to be winning as the elf approaches. The agent magnifies, and branches of gray explode all the way across the ooze, branching and branching and branching until finally, the entire puddle has stopped moving, nothing but a gray mass remaining, branching up into the rift it had come from.
Ravenous Reaction - oh that's neat. gut says this should be double density? and plausibly red. good flavor beat tho. 8/10Rapid Replication - hmm, much cheaper Radiate that offsets with 2c i could maybe see. this does get troubling with mutate and Auras however, which this also copies. think with just inst/sorc and maybe triple density this would be real solid, but bit worrying as is 7/10

Wonder if you ever do this to yourself. 9/10When Mira's finger made contact with the mass, she felt a shock, or was it a minor acid burn? As her finger jerked back from the sudden sensation of slight pain, the blob began to rapidly shift, almost bubbling as its cord uprooted from the street and tendrils swelled with fluid and matter. The flesh rapidly expanded, its form becoming increasingly definite and human before GASPAzolla jolted up, yelling "Damnit not again!" Her head pivoted towards Mira, her raven colored hair framing glassy, icy eyes staring into Mira's mask. Soon, however, her body begins to shift again slightly... proportions slightly changing, small strands of hair changing color, eyes gaining spots of deeper colors... but soon Azolla felt these changes and began to rummage in her pockets for something, eventually pulling out a gas mask decorated with flower patterns. As she does so, Mira notices her hands begin to swell slightly, followed by her forearms, but unfortunately she doesn't have as much time to observe as she may have liked. Azolla put on the mask, and her form quickly settled into her familiar 'self'. Her eyes blinked a few times towards Mira, her body frozen in place before she suddenly shook her head before slapping her cheeks. "There we go. Sorry about that." the woman said, her voice awkward but cool. "You from around here?"
