I like the flip cards of Kamigawa even though it is sort of impractical in hindsight. It allowed you to "Legendary-ize" one of your normal creatures and I really hope a form of that comes back in our return. {Alternative "MDFC"} An alternative with new MDFCs in mind.  |

ganzzert: The thing about flip cards is that they were trying to do what the DFCs do, but better. There are several additional problems with flip cards, including art, readability, ease of viewing by an opponent (especially when one is tapped), all of which are solved by DFCs. Yes, I too loved the flip cards when they first came out, but now that we have DFCs, I don't think anyone will be sad to see the flip cards replaced by DFCs. It is for these reasons that I believe that there won't be any flip cards in Neon Dynasty, but there might be some DFCs.
I have not seen any leaks. In fact, it's been a few months since I've last seen a leek, and just to be on the safe side, I haven't even seen a Welshman since before the pandemic. |

the5lacker you need to leave the _ out of Daij_Djan's name. You tag via the user name, not via their displayed name. You're not the first one that gets confused by pleople being able to have a name other than their user name displayed. Uuuuuuugh, damn you disjoints between display and usernames that aren't immediately apparent. Thanks, I'll promptly forget about all this in a month and get confused again. |

Yep, don't worry  Flo00 's explanation is indeed correct, tagging requires the forum username (which can't handle underscores) rather than the displayed one. If you don't know a user's forum name, howering over his displayed one with the mouse reveals it. Or in my case, just look slightly beneath my picture The bigger problem with your card is going to be confusion about whether or not other spliced effects get recast with the Rebound (they don't, but I can absolutely see this being a fight at many a kitchen table.) That's actually a very good point.. One more reason to drop that design My criteria is exclusively "does it have the words on it?" Perfect! In that case..
 Arcuns weren't really a thing back in Kamigawa, so how about we design one for the  Splice Archetype? While I know it's not really a commander with great support for a proper deck, I decided to make it legendary anyway since this fits the most current design philosophy as well as Kamigawa's legend theme nicely. PS: I seem to really enjoy using that old fullart template recently..  |

I'll be adding an art to this tomorrow, hopefully, but I may not get enough time, so posting this now as is for now. Fun fact: As written, if you channel for X = 5, you return Fukkatsu from your graveyard to your hand. ... Of course then you're spending seven mana to hopefully fetch something else with MV5 from your graveyard, which... even at an infinitely repeatable effect, is pretty bad outside of some surreal infinite combo. |

Thank you for the feedback. I think you're right, this card is definitely too swingy- either it's a card that says "pay two W and your opponent refills their hand before they Doom Blade it" or it says "pay two W and you get a 7/7 while also refilling your own hand". I was initially going to make the min hand size 4, but then I realized it didn't truly interact with the Wisdom mechanic (usually wants you to have 7 or more in hand). And while hand size manipulation is usually found in blue, white gets to have symmetrical effects, especially when they're positive for everyone. Maybe I just increase the cost to 1WW and call it a day? Kinda, sorta... to good? Min size of 3 may be better. Hand size manipulation is mainly found on blue -- So maybe a 2-color solution may do the trick. |

There's no world where "Each opponent *completely refills their hand* before you do" is going to be anything other than a trap. Remember, this isn't a wheel effect where you have an opportunity to do something with the cards before your opponent's turn, it's a Howling Mine on crack. The only way this card doesn't read "you lose the game" is if your opponent decides to leave you alive to piggyback off of the mountains of card draw you're giving them in a multiplayer game. Rather than trying to force the "Minimum Hand Size" concept (which is a line of text I don't think will ever not be broken, sorry), I think literally just... making this a Howling Mine on Maro Legs would probably be the best. |

But of course you redice your mana base doing so. Seeing sade612's entry, I should probably come up with something else anyway. |

I find the game's become too over-reliant on it's archetypes and has become a victim of it's secondary market at the core of it's modern design. Legendries and arcanes were the prevalent ones in Kamigawa, and I really didn't enjoy the latter. MTG has changed a lot since onslaught/mirrodin/kamigawa and then some now. I don't play so much anymore, but it's systemic gold and a lot of fun to play with in that way... I like to make cards that offer stack manipulation/relief/denial options with or as a form modality - but it's not set in stone; My MTGnese needs work. |

You are correct in saying that you're only allowed one entry per challenge. Since you said you would use the first one, I'll offer some thoughts on it. Namely, I like the card! Bushidowalk is really interesting both in terms of flavor and mechanics. The last ability can be brutal at just two mana. I think it's okay though, just strong in the right situation.
