Welcome to the Card of the Week Contest! To participate in this Contest you'll have to design a card along the contest guidelines and throw it into the arena with other competitors' entries! At the end of each week, a winner will be determined by forum poll. The winner's card will be rendered and featured on the Welcome page, and the winner decides the challenge for the next week's Contest! Here we go, competitors: our three-hundred and ninety-eighth challenge!
The winner of the "Man's best friend" poll was BinaryBolas with... And the challenge issued by our winner was... Welcome to the new year of 2022, where everything will be better (hopefully). In the binary spirit of two-s, we should really start this potentially wonderful year with something fitting of this numerical property. Therefore, for this week, design a 2-mana card that fits one or more of the following requirements:- It's a 2/2 creature. (Forest Bear and strictly worse or better Forest Bears. Value judgements debatable. Here's all existing 2-mana 2/2s so far.)
- It's able to make 2/2 creatures. (Traditional creation of 2/2 creature tokens and alcemical conjuration are both acceptable. However try not to list 15+ cards for your spellbooks. Actually I recommend not to do Spellbook cards altogether.)
- It can become or transform into a 2/2 creature. (e.g. Guardian Idol, or morphs.)
- It can make something else a 2/2 creature. (e.g. Verdant Touch, or something like Ensoul Artifact but 2/2s, or cards that manifest.)
I do have to make a restriction that your entries should be strictly 2 mana, so no   s. (I didn't say you can't have alternative costs/activated abilities like kicker.)
Additionally, please try to keep your entry edits all in one post - if you need to change it you can put your old entry in a spoiler marked "Old entry" and leave the newest rendition to be seen. Just use the edit button in the top/right of your original post.And now, time to begin the challenge! Best of luck, competitors!

I wanted to do as many as possible so here it is. (also, if you have any recommendations on syntax, please help. I just did the wording based off of various MTG cards) Edit: ganzzert how about Whenever a nontoken creature enters the battlefield under your control, its base power and toughness becomes 2/2, ... You should also probably put a reminder counter on it so that people don#t forget that it is 2/2. Reminder counters would be good, new draft time. Curse of the Ursine Forest Legendary Enchantment Whenever a non-token creature enters the battlefield, put a bear counter on it, create a green 2/2 Bear creature token, and if Curse of the Ursine Forest isn’t a creature, it becomes a 2/2 creature in addition to its other types until end of turn. Creatures with bear counters on them have base power and toughness 2/2. This is a very blunt card fulfilling all but one of the requirements. I figured with an ability like this, the Legendary status should be the downside, as having more than one of these effects on the field at a time would make it too overpowered.

Punctuated Professor  Creature - Human Cleric Flash If an opponent would draw a card except the first one they draw in each of their draw steps, if that player has three or more cards already in hand, that player skips that draw. 2/2 To learn anything you must first admit you don't know everything.So the Hullbreacher problem, it turns off any additional card draw, I tried to fix it. After one wheel everyone goes down to 1 card in hand, and a second wheel means no cards in hand. This design makes it so opponents can get back up to 3 cards no matter how many wheels. Players can still use cantrips and some card draw and I think 3 cards should be enough to keep people still playing. I thought about making it 2 cards in hand to be more in line with the challenge, but felt it was still too restrictive. Also, the flavor text is not original, I saw it on a t-shirt and it kind of fits. |

I still don't particularly care for the changing combat math with uneven stat changes, especially uncontrolled ones. Rather than dropping First Strike to keep the stat-changing, why not drop the Vigilance, keep the First Strike, and have something like "Whenever an opponent attacks you with a Cat, Weasel, etc., untap this."? |
