Relicant's Ingenuity  Instant  Choose one - - Investigate. (Create a colorless Clue artifact token with "

- Reverse engineer. (To reverse engineer, create a token copy of target artifact. It gains haste. Sacrifice it at the beginning of your next end step.)
- Choose an instant or sorcery card in your graveyard. Create a scroll of it. (A scroll is an artifact token. It can be sacrificed to cast a copy of the chosen card.)

I've always liked mix-and-match cards, and both reverse engineer and scrolls are mechanics I hope we eventually see in a proper set.

Now this is much more up my alley, even if I like my challenges a bit meatier.
 Naila, Worldtree Wanderer  Legendary Creature - Human Ranger (3/2) Reach When Naila, Worldtree Wanderer enters the battlefield, choose one — • If  was spent to cast her, exile target artifact or enchantment. • If was spent to cast her, draw a card. Then, you may put a land card from your hand onto the battlefield tapped. • If  was spent to cast her, return target nonlegendary creature card from your graveyard to your hand. • If  was spent to cast her, target creature you control fights target creature an opponent controls.
Text box is unfortunately a wee bit cramped, and a few abilities feel a bit stronger than would probably be healthy for Standard, but we'll just say she's from, like, Modern Horizons 3 or something. EDIT: Typo fixed, B mode changed to nonlegendary creature from land, R mode changed from bite to fight. |

Magic Origins  Legendary Sorcery (You may cast a legendary sorcery only if you control a legendary creature or planeswalker.)Choose one - • Create a 4/4 white angel creature token with flying and vigilance. • Create a 3/4 blue Sphinx creature token with "  : Target player chooses a card name, then reveals the top card of their library. If that card has the chosen name, that player puts it into their hand. If it doesn’t, the player puts it into their graveyard. • Create a 7/7 black Demon creature token with flying, trample, and "At the beginning of your upkeep, sacrifice another creature. If you don't this creature deals 7 damage to you." • Create a 5/5 red Dragon creature token with flying and " : This creature gets +1/+0 until end of turn." • Create a 0/0 green Hydra creature token with "This creature enters the battlefield with X +1/+1 counters on it.", "For each 1 damage that would be dealt to this creature, if it has a +1/+1 counter on it, remove a +1/+1 counter from it and prevent that 1 damage.", " : Prevent the next 1 damage that would be dealt to this creature this turn.", and " : Put a +1/+1 counter on this creature. Activate only during your upkeep." As cool as this is, it's waaay too many words for a normal card. You could use some card name trickery like Garth to try and reduce it, or just go the "it's intended for digital" route.
Also, why does the green hydra only have red activated abilities? Neither are particularly red - preventing damage is primarily ::WG:: (see this result), while the +1/+1 counter would work just as well in green. |

It's a "clever" reference to Rock Hydra. scryfall.com/card/me4/133/rock-hydraAll of the tokens are "classic" creatures, and by classic I mean old, because nobody's going to get Rock Hydra or Petra Sphinx. The card would honestly almost work if it weren't for the fact that making the hydra might be the single worst use of mana imaginable. |

Omnath, Locus of Zendikar Legendary Creature - Elemental  Whenever Omnath, Locus of Zendikar or a land enters the battlefield under your control, choose one that hasn't been chosen yet this turn - - You gain 5 life
- Target creature gets -4/-4 until end of turn.
- Omnath deals 3 damage to each opponent.
- Scry 2, draw a card.
- Put a +1/+1 counter on each creature you control.
6/6 This looks a little bland now that I look at it, but it's kind of what I'm expecting from the final Omnath. Just a ridiculous modal landfall ability, one effect for each color. Edit: had a gimmicky idea that the modes could go '5,4,3,2,1'. Plus the power and toughness are at 6. |
