Welcome to the Card of the Week Contest! To participate in this Contest you'll have to design a card along the contest guidelines and throw it into the arena with other competitors' entries! At the end of each week, a winner will be determined by forum poll. The winner's card will be rendered and featured on the Welcome page, and the winner decides the challenge for the next week's Contest! Here we go, competitors: our three-hundred and seventy-seventh challenge! The winner of the "Card Games Beyond" poll was itsmekidney with...And the challenge issued by our winner was... One of my favorite things about the non-standard legal sets are their ability to take keywords from throughout Magic's history and combine them, sometimes in unusual ways. For this contest, your goal is to combine two different (non evergreen) keywords from Magic's history that have never been on a card together.Note: As I'm pretty sure we've had this challenge a long time ago already, please don't reuse any older entries from that contest. ~Daij_Djan To increase your chances of winning and to also make creating the poll easier on whomever is doing so, please try to use a render. Additionally, please try to keep your entry edits all in one post - if you need to change it you can put your old entry in a spoiler marked "Old entry" and leave the newest rendition to be seen. Just use the edit button in the top/right of your original post. And now, time to begin the challenge! Best of luck, competitors!

Decided to try some keywords that don't go well together at all. Partly inspired also by the adorable artwork.

Arrears Collector (1)(W)(B) Creature - Human Advisor (Uncommon) Foretell (W/B) (During your turn, you may pay (2) and exile this card from your hand face down. Cast it on a later turn for its foretell cost.)
Afterlife 1 (Whenever this creature dies, create a 1/1 white and black Spirit creature token with flying.)They say the only certainties are death and taxes, but death won't keep you from my taxes.3/3 Edit 3: Added guild symbol to more definitively establish flavor. I could see the foretell mechanic in the Ravnica setting. Not sure if Orzhov would use it a ton, but it does create a neat flavor thought for me.

So I really like amplify. Not the cards with amplify they all suck but the mechanic itself. There are so few mechanics that allow you to trade information for a tangible resource in a way that is easy to understand and powerful.

If you do, it gains haste, and it’s returned from the battlefield to its owner’s hand at the beginning of the next end step.)Forecast — , Reveal Sunblast Enforcer from your hand: Tap target creature. (Activate only during your upkeep and only once each turn.)2/1 "Get on the ground! Fin-claws where I can see them!"

These are all so cool, I just knew it!
Also, I'd like to suggest that I also meant to include set specific mechanics that weren't keyworded; namely, phyrexian Mana and energy

I knew pretty much exactly what I wanted to do when I read the challenge, just had a bit of trouble figuring out how to execute it.
Phyrexian Pursuer Creature - Phyrexian Horror Infect, persist, undying When ~ dies, you get a poison counter. "Go. Compleat the world, at any cost." - Elesh Norn, Phyrexian praetor

Wanted to do something with Theros mechanics (Tribute, Bestow, Monstrosity, etc), because I think they're all great in concept, but I had a bit more trouble with them than I initially expected. So I ended up using one of them, and the mechanic that it ended up becoming anyway. XD Plus this allowed me to combine my two favorite creature types.

Minah, Knight-Errant Legendary Creature - Human Knight (3/3) This spell costs less to cast for each differently named dungeon you've completed. First strike, vigilance Call to Adventure Sorcery - Adventure Venture into the dungeon. (Enter the first room or advance to the next room.)
I will not apologize for art.

It seems to me that bloodthirst and undying are actively fighting against each other, as undying works off of +1/+1 counters. Now, if it was bloodthirst and persist, that'd be a different matter. Was this nonbo intentional?

If I win, this'll be my prompt:
Things We're Not Allowed to Do in a Game of Magic Anymore
Design a card based on all of Mr. Welch's exploits. ALL OF THEM!

He has a P/T similar to those seen on vehicles and it works the same way.
He does have power and toughness when he is not a creature.
There would probably need to be some sort of rule change to make this work within the confines of the game, but i don't think it breaks anything.

{Text} Scion Swarmling 3 Creature - Eldrazi Scion 1/1 Replicate 1 Emerge GG Sacrifice ~: Add C. I'm not sure this works how I hope it does. Can we get a Judge ruling, does Emerge cover the additional replication costs?

You may pay for alternate costs as well as additional costs. The phases of casting a spell are: 1. Declare you are casting a spell. 2. Declare alternate costs, additional costs, targets, modes, etc. 3. Pay costs 4. Put spell on stack. With Replicate/Emerge you would indeed be able to declare you are paying the Replicate additional cost N times, then sacrifice a creature with a Mana Value N or greater to pay for all of that additional cost, in the same way that you could sacrifice a creature with Emerge to pay for a cost increase from something like, say Feroz's Ban.

{Text} Temur Adept Creature - Human Shaman Storm (When you cast this spell, copy it for each spell cast before it this turn. Copies become tokens.) Haste (This creature can attack and as soon as it comes under your control.) Prowess (Whenever you cast a noncreature spell, this creature gets +1/+1 until end of turn.) 1/2

Reflecting Bugie Creature - Bird Reflection Mutate Replicate U Flying This creature has +1/+1 if you control another creature with flying. 0/1
Mutate and replicate! Since we can copy permanent spells now, replicate works on creatures! And because creature spells cast with mutate target, replicate allows you to select new targets for all those copies! Make an army of bird reflections, or make your army of creatures fly! EDIT: Almost forgot the artist credit.

You can crew a vehicle that's already a creature. It won't take a lot of effort to cast everything in your deck below a vehicle's crew value.
