Edit: Took people's feedback into consideration. I don't know if it technically fits into the challenge with this new formatting, but it's worth a shot, I think. Also, the wording on the activated ability is probably going to rub people the wrong way no matter what, since it's wording we simply haven't seen before, but I feel like this is probably the cleanest way of doing it.

Just so happens that this allows for an unintentional preview of my upcoming set, Vice and Vengeance.
Instant You may cast this spell for if you control a creature with power 4 or greater. Return target creature card with mana value 3 or less from your graveyard to the battlefield. It gains haste until end of turn. One of the last remnants of the Kingdom of Heart, long consumed by the Oblivion.

Jartis: Maybe to make this a bit more clear, how about something like The next time target creature deals combat damage to a player, treat it as though it were not renowned. or Target creature isn't renowned until end of turn. I'm not sure your wording would work at all, because renown doesn't trigger when the creature is already renowned. Biomancer's Familiar works because for adapt no trigger is involved. It just checks for counters when it's told to adapt.
