Avis smiles ruefully. "No introductions then? I suppose we are on a time crunch." She puts her fingers together and leans forward. "So, to answer your questions."
"'Only an hour?' It prefers meat over any other food. While any food calms it down, fresh meat calms it the longest.""'What is 'it?'" She tilts her head slightly. "My memory is a bit foggy, but I believe It is a Class-10 multiversal parasitic organism." She smiles again. "Or, in layman's terms, it's a really damn powerful leech that decided my body was its new home.""And 'what happened to you?'" Her face falls. "That's a difficult question to answer. Suffice it to say, my peers sacrificed me for science. Is that enough of an answer for you? I doubt you want to hear my life story."
Flurry of Questions - Holy shit I love this thing. 10/10 Terlax's Transformation - Very cool card, wild combat trick. Might be too strong. 8/10
Avis can now cast Blue spells.Instant Counter target spell. Draw X cards, where X is the number of cards your opponents have drawn this turn.
"Aelewin of Clan Sur Ka. I'd say good to meet you, but you have already proven otherwise."Aelewin sees no sense in waiting to question Avis."Multiversal parasitic organism. What does that mean? Where does it come from? What makes it multiversal?"Collected Retort: Huh. This is neat but also quite pushed. 7/10
Student of the Sparkstones Creature - Human Artificer When ~ enters the battlefield, reveal the top four cards of your library. You may put a Planeswalker card from among them into your hand, then put the rest on the bottom of your library in a random order. Whenever you cast a Planeswalker spell, put a +1/+1 counter on ~. 1/1

Zero is taken aback by the sudden clarity of the woman. "Introductions, I am known as Experiment[0], or Zero. And you?"
"You know much of this creature of Elsewhere, then? Do you know of a way it may be removed safely?" Sold to Science Sorcery As an additional cost to cast this spell, you may sacrifice a creature. Return target creature card from a graveyard to the battlefield under your control. Put three -1/-1 counters on that creature if you didn't sacrifice a creature to cast this spell.
Collected Retort - bit tricky to use effectively, but its usually as least Dismiss so that's nifty. 9/10

"Avis Bracker, head rese-" she winces before correcting herself. "former head researcher of the Sparklatch Project." She smiles apologetically at Aelewin. "I apologize once again for all of that. Though I cannot lie and say I was acting entirely out of my will." She leans back and drums her fingers on the table. "Answering your questions in order once again..."I do not know what this 'Elsewhere' you speak of is, but yes I do know much of the..." Avis grimaces, "thing within my body."She frowns. "If I knew how to remove it, you don't think I'd have removed it already? I'm sure it looked like a lot of fun being contorted and forced into inhuman shapes, but I can assure you it was not."Avis smirks at Aelewin's question."Multiversal parasitic organism describes a living creature that uses a host to accomplish its goals, and the 'Multiversal' part means it can traverse dimensions at will."
"I do not know where it came from. We found it on our -I suppose you would call it a home plane, yes?- being held captive by a very scared and confused shop owner with a bucket. Despite all my knowledge about the creature, I still have no idea of its origin." Avis spreads her hands, letting the two digest her answers.
Student of the Sparkstones - I'd like this more as a rare with stronger abilities, because planeswalkers aren't in sets widely enough for this to really be an unc I can see picking. 7/10
Sold to Science - Consistent bangers from you. Love this reanimator spell, though it might be too strong as an uncommon. 9/10

Where others saw horror, a grief-stricken Aelewin saw potential. Avis grimaces at Aelewin's statement. "I am a scientist, Aelewin. I do know what it means when something is 'interesting.'"
"I do not know what name you would use for my plane, but the city my laboratory was in was named 'Deachin,' if that means anything to either of you." Avis visibly convulses slightly as she mentions the name, but she quickly swallows it back down. "Many... bad memories from there, if you can't tell."
She turns to face Zero. "Please, I know my first impression was lacking, but do have some faith in my intelligence. If I knew a way to get it out, I would have done so already. No matter what it takes." She leans back slightly, thinking on the robot's other question. I did not make it to where I am by waiting for some inevitable destiny or fate to come my way." She grits her teeth, for a moment revealing far too many teeth than should fit inside her mouth. "Do not compare me to as lowly of a creature as a pitiful ant. Perhaps my first instincts about you were correct."She whips her head to Zero. "And you. Thinking me so weak-willed that I could not have extracted this thing if I knew? That I am nothing more than a puppet for the parasite to conform to its whims?" I spent years of my life testing and researching this organism, and I will not sit here and be talked down to by two grand-standing, sword-wieldi-" Avis' angry words are replaced by choking and gagging noises as her throat bulges once again and she convulses wildly. She tries desperately to swallow, but whatever it is continues forcing its way up her esophagus. Her eyes widen fearfully as her mouth is forced open, a misshapen lump of flesh peeking out from her lips, and slowly edging its way out. Helplessly, Avis' eyes shoot up to Zero and Aelewin with a pleading look.
Focused Sweep - This seems like it's bad targeted removal if you don't glitch it, and a bad boardwipe if you do glitch it. 6/10 Stonechip Antares - I think this is in MSEM and is a sick card there too. 9/10 Creature -- Shapeshifter Flash You may have Everrotten Duplicant enter the battlefield as a copy of any nonland permanent card that was put into a graveyard from the battlefield this turn. 0/0

Frustrated (and perhaps a little spiteful, towards this woman who thought herself so important and tragic and yet), Aelewin makes no move to help Avis, instead letting Zero attempt to save the scientist. However, irritated as they may be, Aelewin is not heartless, and they ready themselves to prevent a maddened Avis from escaping if need be.Everrotten Duplicant: Hm. Turncoat Sycophant Creature - Human Advisor At the beginning of your upkeep, you lose 3 life. Whenever a player casts a spell, they draw a card and gain control of ~. 2/3 The moment Zero's hand makes contact with the flesh, it lurches downwards out of Avis' mouth, greedily forming around the robot's arm. With a wet squelch, the chunk pops out completely, separate entirely from Avis' body. She stumbles backwards, falling backwards onto her hands, gagging heavily and glaring daggers at Aelewin. The flesh piece is still wrapped around Zero's hand, and is slowly pulsating as it attempts to wriggle forwards, along Zero's arm. Snag - Simple removal spell love it. 10/10Turncoat Sycophant - Also love this thing so much. 10/10
Splitting Slop Creature -- Ooze Horror Splitting Slop can't block.
At the beginning of your upkeep, sacrifice a non-Ooze creature. If you do, each opponent creates a token that's a copy of Splitting Slop. Otherwise, sacrifice Splitting Slop and you lose 3 life.

Aelewin's blade strikes at where the parasite is furthest along Zero's arm. Though not a strong enough blow to completely sever the limb, the instant their sword makes contact, the fleshy mass lets out a screech and flops off of Zero's arm. As it lands onto the ground, a few bony protrusions extend out of the lump, and it attempts to scuttle along those newly formed legs away from the three. Avis, for her part, is still recovering from almost choking. While still on the ground, she shakily says, "It... It's never done that before. Fascinating." Despite the situation, a small smirk creeps across Avis' face.
Amputate - Very interesting card. I feel like it should be better as an uncommon because I would feel really awful opening this as a rare. 7/10
Skimming Blow - Kinda love this as a niche counterspell effect. 8/10
Morbid Fascination Instant As an additional cost to cast this spell, you may sacrifice a creature. When you cast this spell, copy it for each creature that died this turn. You draw a card and you lose 1 life.

Aelewin scowls darkly, and raises a boot-clad foot from within their shadowed cloak and moves to stomp the scuttling blob."What in Surkham was that, scientist?" Their tone is pure venom, any sympathy towards Avis instantly draining from their form.Morbid Fascination: Nice sidegrade on Plumb the Forbidden. Always love this concept. 9/10
Cleansing Strike Instant Destroy target creature that's attacking, blocking or has a -1/-1 counter on it. With one fell swoop, Aelewin aimed to stomp the scuttling blob into nothing.

She crouches down over the remains of the blob, pulling out a small pair of tweezers and poking at the flesh, inspecting it intently.

"Thank you," Zero says to Aelewin. Her freed arm pulls a cup from the rift and moves to collect some piece of the flesh blob as well. "Well, this is at least something to test poisons on..."
