Welcome to the Card of the Week Contest! To participate in this Contest you'll have to design a card along the contest guidelines and throw it into the arena with other competitors' entries! At the end of each week, a winner will be determined by forum poll. The winner's card will be rendered and featured on the Welcome page, and the winner decides the challenge for the next week's Contest! Here we go, competitors: our three-hundred and fourty-forth challenge! The winner of the "Companion Cube" poll was nabbydude with... And the challenge issued by our runner-up was... To increase your chances of winning and to also make creating the poll easier on whomever is doing so, please try to use a render. Additionally, please try to keep your entry edits all in one post - if you need to change it you can put your old entry in a spoiler marked "Old entry" and leave the newest rendition to be seen. Just use the edit button in the top/right of your original post. And now, time to begin the challenge! Best of luck, competitors!

Womb Instant If a creature would enter the battlefield this turn, it instead enters the battlefield with two additional +1/+1 counters on it at the beginning of the next end step. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Tomb Instant Aftermath Choose target creature with power of 4 or greater. Its owner shuffles it into their graveyard.
Note that this doesn't trigger any dies effects. It's just shuffled directly from the battlefield into its owner's graveyard.

All [or] NothingIntroducing a Fuse variant: Unite! ----- All Sorcery Creatures your team controls get +1/+1 until end of turn. Unite (When you cast one half of this card, a teammate may cast the other.)Give the fight your all, or...// Nothing Sorcery Creatures your opponents control get -1/-1 until end of turn. Unite (When you cast one half of this card, a teammate may cast the other.) ...you’ll have nothing left.----- Render ![]() I made the art for this! I've added the full piece as an attachment! Unite feels like a natural extension of the fuse mechanic for multiplayer games, specifically Two-Headed Giant, with possible application in Archenemy as well. Unlike Fuse, Unite doesn't allow a single player to cast both halves, so this card is basically like most standard split cards outside of those formats. What do you guys think of it? Attachments:

If you fuse a split card, the converted mana cost becomes both costs combined. I think this lends itself to some pretty cool designs, so that's what I did.

Daij_Djan - Unite return? I'm confused. Am I not the first person to come up with this?

aquonn: I do no think this will work the way I suspect you hope it will. In order to get the second effect to work, it needs to come first, before the creature dies. As it is now, the only way to get both halves to work on the same creature, the caster would have to target an undamaged x/5 or greater, and then find a way to kill it.

@ quazerflame: As Lady Mapi already mentioned, I came up with the same mechanic a while ago as well - as has at least one third person a while back if I recall.. Great minds think alike as they say

Populate is a thing, and Progenitor Mimic wins games, no matter what it copies.

The reason I poured my blood, sweat, and tears into Photoshopping this custom frame was to make this very pun.
Well, kind of. I was also just curious to see how it'd look.

It's been forever since I tried to make a functional card, but this idea came to me and I like it somewhat.
