Here we go, competitors: our three-hundred and twenty-seventh challenge!
The winner of the Card of the Week #325: Simple cards for many players poll was FLAREdirector with... And the challenge issued by our winner was... You know what's good? Paying mana to cast spells and activate abilities. You know what's better? Paying less mana to cast spells and activate abilities! Design a card with a cost reduction effect. This can also include alternate casting costs, like madness, if that cost is cheaper than the card(s) would ordinarily be.

I hope Convoke counts as cost reduction for this  {Text form} Collective Response   Sorcery -  Convoke (Your creatures can help cast this spell. Each creature you tap while casting this spell pays for 1 or one mana of that creature’s color.)For each creature tapped to cast Collective Response, tap target creature. Destroy all tapped creatures. |

Aaliyah's Blessing Tribal Instant--Angel Incarnation  Cast this spell only if your life total is less than your starting life total.
Your life total becomes equal to your starting life total. If you gained life this way, create Aaliyah, a legendary X/X white Angel Incarnation creature token with flying, first strike, vigilance, lifelink, trample, and shroud, where X is the amount of life gained this way.

The challenge said the card had a cost reduction effect. It didn't say it had to reduce the cost for the card itself, or even for you, right?  |

Just made an entry for the Creature Type Game and realized I can also post it here:  Soulherder Lammasu  Creature - Lammasu Flash This spell costs 1 less to cast for each creature that died in combat this turn. Flying When Soulherder Lammasu enters the battlefield, exile all graveyards. You gain 1 life for each creature card exiled this way. 4/5 |
