On one of the many winding streets of the Arena, Viola sits at a fountain, staring at her hands with a very thoughtful frown on her face, seemingly oblivious to the world around her. Viola, the Confused

When she realizes what she's seen, she doubles back and approaches from behind while calling out, "Pardon the intrusion, but are you injured?"Errand Dodger  Creature — Human Rogue  Errand Dodger can't block. Whenever Errand Dodger deals combat damage to a player, you may sacrifice it. If you do, draw a card. 2/1

Blazing Winds  
Instant
Blazing Winds deals 1 damage to each creature target player controls. If an attacking creature is dealt damage this way, draw a card.
Errand Dodger -- Really clean and elegant design. I think it's a bit of a weak uncommon and I would rather see it at common, but I love it regardless. 7/10

I'm an apothecary, if that wasn't clear. I'm just offering you some free advice."Derail Thought Sorcery Choose X. Target player reveals their hand. You choose a card with converted mana cost X from it. That player discards that card. The greatest peril of a one-track mind.
Blazing Winds — Seems like a strange condition in red, and it's often how the card will be played since it's instant burn for small damage. Otherwise, doesn't seem too outlandish. 7/10

A young girl covered in shadow watches the oblivious curiously from a distance. The more she observes, however, the more she is invested in the woman's intense staring at her hands. Eventually she hops into a rift and disappears, before quickly reappearing in the woman's face and giving her a warm (if a bit intrusive) greeting. "Hello! I just saw that you were looking at your hands so acutely and was interested as to why! Who might you be? I'm Bernadette!"Return to Reality   InstantReturn target nonland permanent an opponent controls to its owner's hand. Then that player gains 2 life. Draw a card.

Viola's voice trails off as her brow knits in concentration for a few moments. She perks back up suddenly with a grin. "Viola! That's it, that's my name! ... I think." Viola's grin falls off after that admittance of uncertainty. "If you don't mind me asking, where exactly am I? I think I hit my head on something."Save Face Instant  Whenever a permanent you control leaves the battlefield this turn, draw a card. "No, wait, I meant to do that!"
Return to Reality - Not really a fan of this one. The incidental lifegain feels like an attempt to force white into the colors of the card, but the effects in general are fine. 6/10 |

Return to Reality - Not really a fan of this one. She holds out a hand to Viola. "Here! I don't know where we are exactly, but I know how to search for clues. Viola frowns after saying that statement. "At least, I think I am. I must've hit my head quite hard." Viola falls silent rather awkwardly, clearly hoping for Bernadette to take charge and lead her to these clues. Learn by Example Instant Until end of turn, whenever an opponent draws a card, you may draw a card. Imitation is the greatest form of education.
Inquisitive Bother - I like this as a design, it's clean and effective. The horror typeline kind of confuses me, and it seems a little weak, but all-in-all it's pretty solid. 8/10 |

Inquisitive Bother - I like this as a design, it's clean and effective. Before Viola has any chance to respond, Bernadette zips from alley to alley, looking high and low for hints for where the two of them are. She pops into Viola's view momentarily with an annoyed look on her face ( "You'd think a large and sprawling city such as this would have maps around the place, and yet..."), then vanishes just as quickly. She is so focused on finding out where they are she doesn't bother to make sure Viola's able to follow behind. Baffling Maneuver Instant  Counter target spell unless its controller discards two cards. Try to follow behind and you may just lose your head.
Learn by Example - I really enjoy these kind of blue conditional draw effects like Plagiarize and Notion thief, and I think its well costed for what it does. However I think it could have less weight in its mana cost considering not forcing the opponent to skip their draw is a noteworthy downside this has compared to the previously mentioned cards. 9/10 |
