So what are your thoughts? For a new conspiracy set, I'm thinking of replacing Monarch, with something called a drumroll . . .
Emperor!!
Loyal Advisor 2W Creature - Human Advisor When ~ enters the battlefield, you become the Emperor (The player to your right becomes your Right Hand for as long as you're the emperor. Creatures they control can't attack you.)
So basically, that's what being emperor does. In a 4 player format, being emperor means you get a right-hand man(woman/person). They can't attack you, as they are your trusted advisor. You could get benefits off of your Right Hand, and they could get benefits off you. Just for as long as you're the emperor. All that then goes away. I'm not sure if it's a good idea to replace such an iconic conspiracy mechanic with something new, so what are your thoughts?

Well, in a two-player game (a very common type of game), this just means you can't be attacked, forever, and there's nothing your opponent can do about it. This instantly and cleanly shuts down any deck with a combat-based wincon, and all the removal under the sun can't save them now. Definitely not a good mechanic, sorry.
