Decided to ham it up a smudge for that older feel, but I've decided to tackle the keyword fear. Edit: Just realized I didn't double check. I think fear was only officially keyworded on 8th and though it existed before as an effect. Should I re-do Flo00 ?

{serraphim}I think its a solid design, drawing cards and making creature tokens. I just don't think its very exciting. Paying X to look at x-1 cards seems a bit strange. I get that you can pay 1 life to just get the +2 and get closer to the ultimate. It just doesn't seem very satisfying.
{pernicious}Good planeswalker for a snow deck. It gets to ultimate pretty fast. I like that this is balanced by the +1 being relatively weak and the -3 being pretty costly as well.
{Idea}Menace and fear seems like pretty heavy evasion. This sounds very funny in multiplayer. Players can basically work around the fear by plusing Hasbone and later they can set up other players to be targeted by the ultimate.
{Daij_Djan}Congratulations, you made me look up the rules for bands with other. I just assume bans with <blah> works like bands with other <blah> just that the creature itself doesn't have to be <blah> itself. (Actually strange that the rules wouldn't support this. Apparently, if you make Old Fogey lose its creature type, their banding ability doesn't do anything anymore.) I think this has the right power level for a 2 mana 'walker: it has a very small but not useless effect. And in this case you also need two different kind of creatures to make use of it. I think its funny that the +1 wants one big band and the -5 looks for as many bands as possible. {Reality Glitch}Using banding and then breaking two of its rules, well done! (blocking and sharing abilities) Looks like a pretty fun design, especially if it were in a team format like Battlebond. I was pretty confused by the reminder of the 0 ability for a while – mainly because you forgot to close the quotation marks. The emblem seems very expensive given that you have to have good banders to make real use of it. Yes, Gideon can provide you with them — at the "cost" of not advancing towards the emblem.
Wow. That was a strange one. But hey, what did I expect...

Thank you for the win, Flo00.
The next challenge is: Design a planeswalker card that can become a creature without transforming. Bonus points if it isn't a Gideon card.

Jeska of Otaria Legendary Planeswalker - Jeska Morph As Jeska of Otaria is turned face up, put X loyalty counters on it. If this triggers during combat, she deals X damage to each creature that was blocking or blocked by her. : Discard any number of cards, then draw that many cards. When you do, Jeska of Otaria deals that much damage to up to one target creature or planeswalker. : Destroy up to one target artifact and up to one target land. Note: When you unmorph, the starting loyalty is ignored. Since she isn't a creature then, she also will be removed from combat.

Might cost me the bonus points, but I couldn't resist. (silver border) Kytheon, Totally Not Gideon Ordinary Planeswalker - Not Gideon Ward—Pronounce a word you choose. A person from outside the game decides if it’s satisfatory. Put a +1/+1 counter on target creature or planeswalker. Repeat this process for an exalted counter and a lifelink counter. Until end of turn, Gid- I mean Kytheon, Totally Not Gideon becomes a 4/4 Human Soldier creature with indestructible that’s still a planeswalker. Prevent all damage that would be dealt to him this turn.

Li Kong, Sparkhunter Legendary Planeswalker — Li As long as Li Kong, Sparkhunter has no loyalty counters on him, he's a 4/4 creature in addition to his other types and not a planeswalker. Otherwise, damage not in excess of his loyalty isn't marked on him. (It still removes loyalty counters.)All damage Li deals moves loyalty counters to Li (instead of removing them if dealt to a planeswalker). : Li deals 4 damage to any target. : Each opponent sacrifices a planeswalker. Each player who doesn't sacrifices a permanent. : You get an emblem with "Creatures you control get +1/+1 and have trample and trample over planeswalker." A proud Mardu warleader in one timeline, in another, his failed revolt against Kolighan ignites his planeswalker spark, leading him into a bitter, hate-fueled rivalry with another planeswalker. This hatred expanded to planeswalkers in general after the events of War of the Spark. After the Phyrexian Invasion of the multiverse and the resulting Great Pruning, Li's spark only partially ruptured, giving him the ability to siphon mana and life energy from other 'walkers to sustain his own; a great tool, given his ambitions.

One small note, removing loyalty counters upon taking damage does not remove the damage itself. Of this guy is dealt 4 damage as a planeswalker, he still dies when he becomes a creature. Just mentioning this cause it seems the ability is meant to make him outlast the loss of his loyalty counters.

I believe you mean infect since toxic places counters on top of the damage, while infect states that it “deals damage in the form of(…)”. Infect rules go out of their way to specify life isn’t lost and damage isn’t marked on creatures (as in comprehensive rules on infect), but rather the counters are placed. Rules on planeswalker’s meanwhile only seem to state that “damage dealt to planswalker causes that many loyalty counters to be removed”. Upon looking deeper into it, there does seem to be some claims that because the damage rules don’t specify damage is marked on planeswalkers that they don’t. Marking is just a form of tracking how much damage was dealt to something though, so if something became a creature, perhaps rules on marking a creature would apply regardless, even if we accept the premise that you don’t mark it on planeswalkers. Planeswalker design on planeswalkers turned creatures seem to actively avoid the question by having them either become creatures before damage that would bring them to 0 is dealt or cases like Gideon that just don’t take and even if they take don’t die to damage. So I guess on second thought it’s anyone’s guess. I still think the case is stronger for planeswalkers having the damage stick until end of turn, but I’m less sure than I was in my last reply. Apologies if I bothered.

Flo00 - I'd say it's perfect. I find the idea of a planeswalker with morph, and with a "turned face up" effect as well, to be quite interesting.
Idea - For me, "Totally-not-That" jokes never get old. I would have liked if the Ward condition was something more tied to the "Totally-Not-That" concept, for example "Kytheon, Totally Not Gideon has Ward 3 as long as you're wearing a fake moustache."; the wording on the +2 confuses me a bit, does it mean "Put a +1/+1 counter, an exalted counter and a lifelink counter on target creature"?
Reality Glitch - A very interesting concept, I like the lore piece you wrote about him. I'd reduce the Ultimate's cost to -6 or even -5; I'd raise the first ability's cost up to -3; about the wording of the first phrase, I would change it to "As long as Li Kong, Sparkhunter has no loyalty counters on him, he isn't put into its owner's graveyard, he's a 4/4 Human Warrior creature in addition to his other types and not a planeswalker instead...";
vizionarius - Perfect. I think it represents really well the wildly vengeful side of the Innistradian vampire lord.
The winner is vizionarius! With Flo00 and realityglitch as runnerups.

[/div][/quote] The intention was, for each of those counters, you put it on a target creature. It could be the same creature, 3 creatures or 2 creatures (with one getting two counters and the other getting only one of them). Maybe the phrasing "distribute a +1/+1 counter, a lifelink counter (...) among up to 3 creatures you control" would've been better, looking back.

That problem with that wording is that it’s better indestructible, and gets messy with things like sacrifice as a cost. That's true. If it wasn't forbidden by the prompt, I think that transform would have been an appropriate solution to design and word that mechanic.

I was actually kidding. But I was thinking about an Uginish twist to that card, so I'll post that once I figure it out completely. Not sure this makes sense yet... Sarkhan, Medium of Ugin ::CR::::CR:: Legendary Planeswalker - Sarkhan Morph ::CR::::CR:: As Sarkhan is turned face up, put X loyalty counters on it. If Sarkhan was attacking, manifest the top card of your library attacking and blocked by each creature that blocked Sarkhan. : Manifest the top card of your library. : Sarkhan deals 2 damage to each other creature and planeswalker that’s one or more colors. ::CR:: is supposed to be a colorless/red hybrid.
