{ moweda}I'm not sure how I feel about the clause to lose defender. Seems unnecessarily costly to proc it on purpose. { Idea}The pseudo-protection is interesting. I would have to look into cards that grant the types of abilities that would still be useful on just an artifact to see if there were any more exciting uses, though, I think. { melono}It being a Knight, in white, with that mv and activated ability cost all play really well with Eldraine and Adamant. Idk if that was intentional, but Knights tribal was my favorite thing to draft in Eldraine, so this tickles a good part of my brain. { hydraheadhunter}Is a Gargoyle, creates (FIREBREATHING!) Gargoyles, and supports (most) Gargoyles *and* other artifacts. Pretty good. { vizionarius}I would probably make that a tap ability, raise the mana cost, or give it Black to emulate Doomblade's cost. I like where it's going, but it seems a *bit* too good rn. { pernicious}I love spell copy effects like this, and this has a cool "magical guardian statue" flavor that is really neat. {Winners}This ended up being a difficult decision, which is great! Really speaks to the level of design this challenge got. The top three are very close, I'm going to give the win to melono, with the (again, very close) runners-up being pernicious and hydraheadhunter. I would definitely run all three.

Thanks for the win and no, the Eldraine-like part was not the intention per se. Just wanted to make it disgustingly white. Next, let's make something personal! Create a card that has a creature type of your favourite animal, spirit animal, or fursona, whatever you've got. Try incorporating why you like that animal into your card.If it's like a cockroach or something that doesn't have its own creature type, but is an "Insect" in magic terms, you may choose either making it an insect card, or a new "Cockroach" type. Also, if you don't have an animal in any of these categories, just search for a fursona quiz and do it. Like this one, which was my first result. The second type can be whatever you want it to be. Possibly a class-type if you're doing fursona.

Apparently current theories rather than intentional domestication, wolves were simply gradually used to humans due to food left behind by them during to hunting more food than they could actually consume or things they simply threw away. Both wolves and doggos compete for my favorite animal slot, so I figured I'd try a card that combines both.

I like both the character in Alice in Wonderland, and the actual animal.

| Badger Warboss A red and a green
Creature — Badger Warrior
Menace Bloodrush — pay two generic, a red and a green and discard Badger Warboss: Target attacking creature gets +2/+2 and gains Menace until end of turn. Then, if it is being blocked by exactly one creature, it becomes unblocked.

Placeholder. I'm a dragon! Yeah!! (<-- Result of the quiz in the challenge prompt.) Vizzion, Bringer of Desolation Legendary Creature -- Dragon Warlock Flying, trample Whenever Vizzion deals combat damage to a player, you may sacrifice another creature. If you do, destroy target creature defending player controls with mana value X or less, where X is the sacrificed creature's mana value. You gain X life. 6/6

Chittering Sage Creature - Rat Advisor Kinship — At the beginning of your upkeep, you may look at the top card of your library. If it shares a creature type with Chittering Sage, you may reveal it. If you do, you draw two cards and lose 2 life. 2/2 Rats are very smart and social animals. The life loss is only there because the color pie demands it. Note that the first card drawn is the one you revealed.

Right, about time I judge this: {Spoiler} emberfire17 - Marigold: Insect-humanoids should really be something mtg makes more use of. It is “get +1/+1”, not “have +1/+1”. I like the effect of plants/flowers entering being the cause of more bees being created. I dislike that this also counts plants of your opponents. Fairly straightforward in what it does and represents, but I find that to be a good thing. Also fun that her name is a flower’s name. Kinda feels like a human naming their kid Cookie, or Pasta. Idea - Lupurosa: That’s a nice representation of Wolf domestication. And well, contact with humans caused domestication, and that comes through in the soulbond. Though, that tap-ability with untapped hounds, I wonder how often that will be used, as the power is often equal when tapping wolfs or hounds for 2 power. Though, the vigilance does nicely help with it, so it’s at least got some use in tapping the doggo side itself. Also nice to see the dog side become white. Helps with it being a commander, as the white and red ability double strike and trample could really boost the white tap ability. Biggest minus is how much text it has for me. pernicious - Sleepy Dormouse: I think the reference to Alice in Wonderland is great, and Drowsy is a fitting ability. Only thing that makes it a bit harder on me is that I can’t see a mouse being much more than a 1/1 normally. Drowsy+2/2+1 mana=great. But mouse doesn’t add up for me there. hydraheadhunter - Badger Warboss: Ooohhh, bloodrush, would love that to come back. And Menace. Feels fitting for a Badger. Nasty buggers. The bloodrush is the meat of this card, otherwise it’s simply a good 2/2 menace. And that meat is a powerful ability. +2 and becomes unblocked often. Even better than trample often. But it being 4 mana is a good cost for that ability. Quite like it. ameisenmeister - Formidable Formicida: Very fitting for an ant, desiring more numbers. Great flavour and flavourtext. It also kind of feels like a worker ant calling upon a fighter ant, with its coven ability giving a 2/1 instead of a copy 1/2 ant. This also activating once also feeds the coven. I’m sort of doubtful of this being a common instead of an uncommon, though current commons sometimes do have quite strong abilities, and coven makes the ability not the easiest to trigger. vizionarius - You: Strong in stats, but correctly so for the mana. Its destruction ability is nice in a non-token aristocrats deck. Just generally a nice card which I could see be printed in any commander, if not some standard sets. moweda - Hungry Goat: 5 mana total for land destruction + a token is quite up to speed with current mana costs for land destruction. Possibly only having a 3/2 haste for 3 also makes this a better card, so it will always have some (non-specialized) use in a deck. It only hitting basic lands really hurts this though. Just lands in general would’ve made this a lot better, yet not busted. Cool flavour in that the goat eats away a pasture/land, though I first thought I was getting an anti-artifacts card because I remembered the can-eating cartoon goats first. Flo00 - Chittering Sage: A good card in rat tribal (as well as the elusive advisor tribal). The lifeloss might not be wanted by you as creator of the card, but it indeed does fit the black color, as well as the rats-equals-filth mindset Magic has around rats. Whew, you all made some really good and fun cards, glad that you all could get yourself into it. But I gotta choose a winner, so I’ll go with… {Spoiler}{Spoiler} ameisenmeister is the winner with their ant colony! Rarity might have to be changed, but the card idea itself I love.

Thanks for the win, melono, and I completely agree with your assessment that the card might be better as an uncommon. Anyway, your next creature will be non-human advisor. And please make sure that it couldn't just be a non-human wizard, warlock, shaman or whatever. It should have real advisor-vibes. Ad vibes, so to say. Oh well... Have fun!

Centaur Lawyer Creature - Centaur Advisor You may cast Centaur Lawyer as though it had flash if you pay 2 more to cast it. When Centaur Lawyer enters the battlefield, target player can’t cast spells this turn. You gain 1 life for each card in that player’s hand. "I know the laws of nature as well as this city’s and I’ll do anything to protect the former from the latter."3/3 I imagine this to be a Selesnaya centaur that studied with the Orzhov.

Incendiary Debater Creature - Devil Advisor Whenever an opponent casts a noncreature spell, goad target creature that player controls. (Until your next turn, it attacks each combat if able and attacks a player other than you if able.)"Anyone can scare a peasant with fangs and fire. Reducing 'rational' people to madness with words alone? That's a real challenge." 2/3
