augur: Although Fenaire is a cool idea that could be fun to play, it doesn’t work well as a commander because it’s really hard to build around it. The trigger doesn’t work for your creatures with good ETB / LTB triggers because it only triggers for opponents. If you changed that, I think it would be a more fun card to play. I was thinking that Fenaire would be a good controlling commander (boardwipes etc), but you're absolutely right that if there are no or few targets you wouldn't be playing a very good or fun deck. With the "can't have been sacrificed" condition it wouldn't be busted at removing the opponent condition but I'd def bump it up to at least 5CMC. Thanks for the feedback! Attachment DeletedSedu, Soul's Mirror Legendary Creature- Shapeshifter Wizard The "legend rule" doesn't apply to creatures you control. At the beginning of your upkeep, choose another target creature you control. You may pay its mana cost. If you do, ~ becomes a copy of that creature except it has this ability and “The ‘legend rule’ doesn’t apply to creatures you control.” 2/4

Tried to make a non-white, non-green card, as that's what seems the most common right now.

Grash the Flesh Thief Legendary Creature - Orc Warrior Creatures you control can't be sacrificed. Legendary creatures you control get +2/+2. : Gain control of target creature until end of turn. Untap it. It gains haste until end of turn. Activate this ability only any time you could cast a sorcery. Sort of hacked together. Good, eh. Decent, certainly.

Let's go for something a bit... different. Why have one commander when you can have so many more of them? I will draw your attention to Rule 10 for clarification on how this little lady works.

Lady Mapi I had a similar idea but wasn't sure how to pull it off mechanically. Glad someone tried it, and dig the design.

Xseon, Tyrant’s Right Hand Legendary Creature - Naga Advisor , Sacrifice another legendary permanent: Reveal cards from the top of your library until you reveal a legendary card. You lose life equal to the number of cards revealed this way. Put the legendary card into your hand and the rest into your graveyard. His motto is “Survival of the royalst.”2/4

lordojutai {Render} Entry was interesting, but I'm finding myself questioning how it plays nicely with other legendaries by turning them into kamikaze bombs.
Jartis {Render}
I like the idea of it a lot, it's very interesting, but I'm having trouble moving past the feeling that it's very off-flavor for a goblin.
Daij_Djan{Render}
I really like the growing nature of this one, it plays well with not only other legendaries, but your teammates as well. It's a fun entry, I could see playing this.
viriss {Render}
It's a solid entry. I believe the concept is a commander that can work as a repeatable shield for your other legendaries?
spruder {Render}
Another "plays well with other players" one, except in this instance it can be used as an alliance forming tool, since it doesn't explicitly state teammates.
gluestick248 {Render}
I like the concept in principle, it's very control-ey. However, it's such a high cost that I'd see it as having trouble being playable.
korakhos {Render}
I love angels. Big flashy angels that destroy stuff in righteous wrath are always a win. However, it's a big big power stick with the 8/8 flyer in addition to wrath effect.
augur {Render}
I really like the way this concept is handled. It's very fun and definitely a game changer in how it can disrupt the board state in very profound ways.
gateways7 {Render}
This guy feels like the bad best friend. Says he likes you, but he's secretly waiting for you to die so he can grab the goods
Xenozfan2 {Render}
Boom boom. I agree, sadly, it just sort of feels like a few things stuck together. You also forgot power and toughness!
Lady Mapi {Render}
This similar to the one I complimented from monger, but is still its own mechanic and handles quite differently. Fun.
Flo00 {Render}
Very evil, very black. I'll admit I still sort of see something like this as not necessarily playing nice with other legendaries. Still, a very interesting concept.
And the winner is...{Render} augur is the ultimate winner of this contest. I'm not entirely confident on my judging skills, but the concept looks like it would be a lot of fun to play with. Daij_Djan and Lady Mapi are runners-up.

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it!
Your next challenge: Create a commander with a monocolor mana cost! Your commander's color identity can have more than one color, but its mana cost must use at least one colored mana symbol and no additional colors. (you can, of course, use generic mana)

we in here judging contests in a reasonable timeframe for once {viriss} Convoke is a great ability to have on a commander, surprised wotc hasn’t done it yet. Both of Sokolar’s abilities are quite potent, since the first one helps ramp out other large threats and the second can do major damage to a boardstate both early and lategame due to the sheer number of targets. I’m a little wary of constantly convoking and casting him lategame, though, since convoke reduces the impact of commander tax and the mana ability helps recast the same turn you nuke three major permanents. {jartis} I just want Tibalt to be good...and if he's your commander, you should be able to play Blightning. Tibalt’s front half is fine- not a big fan of “leave the battlefield” triggers when it could just be death, but I do like how you can target himself to easily flip him or leave him as a pinger for utility. For the planeswalker half, I really don’t like the plus due to the randomness of the effect having a potentially very swingy impact every turn or virtually nothing (and the mild tedium of determining a random creature on a big boardstate). The minus is nice and a good way to play politics, and the ult is a little underwhelming but a good finisher. {korakhos} Savrios doesn’t provide a lot of raw utility but would be neat at the helm. The suspend ability makes him a nice defender, since opponents are discouraged from attacking you with anything large lest it get erased for a while. The ability also functions quite well on the attack- “bouncing off” is no longer a trade and one sided blocks are turned into more of a trade- helping you “draw” some cards early game, which is a benefit for any deck. {amechra} I see that you think you have some nice lands. You don't. There are only trees.
Only trees.
I really like Thylsi’s “soft Dosan” first ability- it doesn’t prevent interaction, but makes it much more difficult and affects some activated abilities as well. Not a big fan of the second ability, though. It does fit with the theme of the first ability- decreasing opponent’s ability to interact, plus increasing your ability- but triggering twice each turn and having relevant targets can easily slow down the pace of the game (eight times per cycle in 4player). Making it only untap or happen only once a turn would make it flow much more smoothly. good designs from everyone… {...but there can only be one} and that one is korakhos! (this was p close, please don't make me pick a runnerup lul)

Elbath, Folk Hero Legendary Creature - Human Warrior Trample, lifelink When CARDNAME enters the battlefield, create two 1/1 white Citizen creature tokens. CARDNAME gets +1/+1 for each creature you control. 0/0 Notes: Doesn't directly get better, but it amasses more creatures to feed itself every time you play it. Does that count?

Jiri, Inciter of the Charge Legendary Creature - Human Soldier ~ enters the battlefield with a number of +1/+1 counters on it equal to the amount of mana spent to cast it. Whenever Jiri attacks or blocks, each other creature you control gains +X/+0 until end of turn, where X is the amount of +1/+1 counters on Jiri. 0/1 This card works best with Ajani planeswalkers, other +1/+1 counter generation, and lotsa creatures. Also vigilance granters, though I've thought about giving the card vigilance of itself, but that might be a bit much. EDIT: changed it from a Warrior to a Soldier for more currently avaiable support, and changed "every" into "each".

Kayrin the Destroyer Legendary Creature - Ogre Barbarian When you cast Kayrin the Destroyer, destroy a number of target noncreature permanents equal to the number of times it was cast from the command zone. Trample, haste 7/4 I made it a cast trigger so you can't abuse it too much.

Attachment DeletedAeca, Singular Invoker Legendary Creature- Human Soldier When you cast ~, for each time it was cast from the command zone this game, create a token that’s a copy of it, except it isn’t legendary. As long as you control two or more creatures that share a name, those creatures have first strike. As long as you control five or more creature that share a name, those creatures have lifelink. 2/2 unused ft: "One? One can mean a lone soldier or an entire army."

Uabi, Master Reshaper Legendary Planeswalker - Uabi Scry X, where X is the number of times CARDNAME was cast from the command zone this game. Put X +1/+1 counters on target creature, where X is the number of times CARDNAME was cast from the command zone this game. You get an emblem with "Whenever you cast you commander you may return up to X permanents to their owners' hands, where X is the number of times it was cast from the command zone this game." CARDNAME can be you commander. CARDNAME enters the battlefield with X adittional loyalty counters on it, where X is twice the number of times CARDNAME was cast from the command zone this game. Its strange that my last entry for Planeswalker Game was a legendary creature and my entry for this game is a planeswalker. Also, I'm sure this has power level issues but seems funto play.
