Ok, jokes aside, I really, really like this card. I was a little down on the tribe, but then I looked up Boars: End-Raze Forerunners. Decimator of the Provinces. Archetype of Endurance. Ilharg, the Raze-Boar, for heaven's sake. Even the lower powered ones are pretty good: Festerhide Boar, Brindle Shoat, Flinthoof Boar; they aren't the best, but they're nothing to sneeze at either. You even get Yasharn, Implacable Earth from your colors. Flavorwise (mmmm, bacon) it's pretty good. I'm guessing it can only remove creatures you control from combat; I'd also word it like Reconnaissance (also a French word).

Hmm. Very powerful, with a few problems. Not sure on the wording but I'm pretty sure that could be done cleaner. It also has memory issues with a creature gaining defender permanently. Not impossible, but unlikely to see print (counters?). In terms of flavor...I'm leaning on less than more, but I can see it. This is more of a jailer than a therapist.

WARNING: FLAVOR FAIL. If she's shackled, how does she fly? Also, how can she do all that if only observing? I joke, though. But seriously. Very, very powerful. This might be up there with Sen Triplets as a hated card. Though she has one fewer colors, being able to hit all three opponents is seriously overpowered. It also causes some confusion about who can cast the card if they have Future Sight out. I'd be a bit more comfortable with an exile clause instead. The toughness might be able to come down a bit, to 5 maybe.

I think that's the correct wording (check March of the Machines vs Opalescence). This one is well-placed in its color identity. Food is not well supported, but it is centered in . (Fun fact: no red Food makers). I do wish we had more repeatable sources of Food, though. It's not terribly overpowered, but its uniqueness makes it fantastic. Even just doing lifelink tribal makes it powerful.

I think the wording would be like Averna, the Chaos Bloom. Dang, this is good, possibly too good. It's not quite Edric, Spymaster of Trest levels of power, but it has a similar build with 1 mana creatures and a ton of scriers. OR you could go big and do Siana, Eye of the Storm with a white partner, or in the 99. Flavor: spot on.

Aaahhhh...see, the flavor is great with your word (and kudos for finding a great legend to make), but you've made a legend out of the only creature with "Quirion" in its name that neither deals with lands nor is an elf. That's...kind of problematic. It's a good card, but dang did you miss wide.

I like this. Greedy, money-grubbing, ancient, and evil. Coupling the greed of a dragon with the lifespan of a vampire...ouch, not something fun. Not a big fan of the name, though; seems a bit stiff. Flavor is great; love it.

This is SUPER COOL. It's yet another aggro Boros commander, but does it in a way that is unique and flavorful. Other than Depala, Pilot Exemplar we don't have a vehicle commander, so I'm glad to see another one. The body is good for the cost, especially with her abilities. That last one, though...I'm interested to see what shenanigans I can pull off with that. I mean, equipment are artifacts, artifacts are artifacts... Something to think about. Lands will never be dead with her out.

You were given a difficult word and managed to pull it off spectacularly. Kudos on making an azra as well; that's not a creature type common around these parts. (Random thought: might we see azra in the D&D set? They're themed after tieflings...) To note, attacking across does nothing. Flavor: well done.

But seriously, I like it. Very difficult to build around and kind of weak...Omniscience. Oh goodness. Oh my goodness. Oh gosh. Oh my heck. FIVE MANA OMNISCIENCE!? Broken. Solid broken. White gives you tutors for it, blue gives you counterspells...ugh. This might see cEDH play, though no ramp is a difficult build-around. Actually, easily counterable, no protection, small body...eh, high-level casual. It does incite some weird rules issues: what happens when you play a nonland permanent then it goes away? Also, props to your spouse. I'm a writer too, and the son of a writer and librarian; I bleed ink. Flavor: fantastic, and slightly cherry flavored.

LET'S START A RIOT, A RIOT! LET'S...*coughcough* *Ahem* Ah, Three Days Grace. Riot is already a keyword, so I'm surprised (pleasantly) that you didn't go with that. Flavorwise you nailed it: he's a menace (nice) and incites others to violence. It's a pity that provoke fell out of favor.

Lotsa threes on there. You got handed the hands-down easiest word on here, but...it's just a little too...not black(ish). The ETB is far and beyond what green has, at three mana, even with the restriction of Swamps only. The rest of it is spot on (and kudos for using Nightstalker): Dark Ritual, Raise Dead, and Ulcerate.

{Honorable mention}
Ok, I cheat: there's two: hydraheadhunter with Baron Aster, Keeper of our Riches and gluestick248 with Dosti, Sinister Schemer! Both of these are absolutely amazing for different reasons. Baron Aster is just a powerhouse sac outlet/beater, and Dosti is just *mwah* on flavor. I was kind of sad to see melono and Borgi, Who Gives Up drop out of the running because I love that card. Ah, why not, have an honorable mention as well.

{Third place}
Third place is odivesco and Dario, Insurgent Provoker! Fantastic flavor (somehow reminds me of oil and rubber) and not too overpowered while being a powerful card.

{Second place}
Oh, here's where things got tricky (other than deciding the honorable mentions). It was tough, but viriss and Saphira, Brake Cutter won out second place! It's not just a combat-based Boros commander, it's a fun combat-based Boros commander!

{First place}
amechra and High Austromancer Shergut, come take your place at the winner's podium! Flicker, bounce, swing, pump; this deck could be a blast to play. Unusual ability tagged onto a Bird Wizard (for that Bird tribal support) and the brewing commences. Congratulations!
