A long dreaded sequel to the 2018 Skyrim Remastered Edition set, Skyrim Remastered: World at War opens up all of Tamriel to custom card design.
At the end of Skyrim, the dragonborn has slain Alduin (spoilers sorry), become the head of countless organizations, and lead a side of the civil war to victory. But then what? Does the world go back to blissful peace, knowing the threat it just escaped from? Of course not! And what if the Stormcloak army succeeded in fighting the Imperials out of Skyrim? Would Ulfric take his racist ass back to Windhelm and just exist?
That's where World at War comes in. Ulfric, after his victory in Skyrim, turned his attention to the rest of Tamriel. The Stormcloaks pushed onward into Cyrodill, and the Aldmeri Dominion pushed back. This created a rift that plunged the entire continent into war. Will you take the Dominion's side and fight for normalcy, or will you take up the blade with Ulfric himself?
Mechanics of WAW
Skyrim Remastered: World at War contains two mechanics, one returning and one new. One, thu'um, gives you the power of the ancient dragon language while the other, pillage, lets you take advantage of the chaos and discord created by Ulfric's war.
What Happened to the Dragonborn?
Simply put, nobody knows. The dragonborn was crucial in defeating Alduin, and after the world eater was slain they worked with Paarthurnax to banish the remaining dragons to the far reaches of Tamriel. With no leader to guide them, the dragons became something of a legend, a horror story to frighten children, and the dragonborn faded with them. Wherever the dragonborn may be, they left behind quite the legacy.
