// Sara reaches her thoughts to the young Empress VIA, talking her through the entire conversation.
Young Empress VIA. How are you feeling? If you feel something is wrong, don't be afraid to say so. We are here to help, after all. This situation is stressful. Just relax, and let yourself feel your decision is true before you make it.
Relax Instant Tap target creature. If you've drawn a card this turn, it doesn't untap during its controller's next untap step. Scry 1.
"You've given me knowledge that I have more to accomplish. More to strive for than simply this world."
"Knowledge that eventually, somewhere, a force will try to take all I strive to build away from me in an instant."
"And now I have everything I need. You consider power alone to be the answer to this threat you name. Perhaps, should you try again, realize that power is not enough."
"Now give up this charade. You are nothing more than a being whose time has come and gone."
Branching Timelines: I don't like that this nets you exiles, or that it easily keeps feeding itself. I'd prefer something that bounces it, or limiting the number of spells gained per exile cast to 1, or a clause that gets you two if you've cast both at your upkeep. 6/10
VIA mulls over the girl’s words. "What makes me… happy? I have so many duties. So many things to do, to redeem myself, to save my world and possibly every other. It would be selfish to…"
And you know the worst part? It feels GOOD.
"It isn’t Sane or Necessary. But... how much of that is true? How much did VI, did I, just…"
All I can think about is how everything LOOKS and SMELLS and…
"And I… don’t know what would make me happy. My family? My home? I can't bring them back, not really. I don’t think I’ve truly been happy for a very long time." The voice sounds again in Karina’s mind. "And I just can’t… I can’t… not…"
It trails off, until Karina’s shallow breaths and pounding heartbeat are the only sounds she can hear.
VI exiles Mana Severance and Selective Memory, then casts them using Branching Timelines, exiling all cards in her deck but a Nexus of Fate.
"Don't think about if it's sane, or necessary, or selfish. I don't know who or what or why that lady is, but if she is like Kirino I've got a dozen reasons not to trust her."
"I didn't get a choice. But, if I did, now, I'd keep it. Because I will suffer the troubles, and the memories, and everything else, because being with my friends, my new family, being able to help people across the Multiverse, being able to stop others from feeling the same hurt... that's worth it to me."
"You need to figure out if... whatever it is this is... is worth it for you. If you want to be explodey lady. You're the only one who can figure that out. And we'll be here however long it takes to do that."
VI tinkers with time. Around the two children, t i m e b e g i n s t o s t r e t c h . . .
Karina of Seconds Legendary Creature - Human First strike If an opponent would take an extra turn, you take an extra turn instead. 3/2
"I don't trust you." He points the sword at the angel.
Skelekinetic
Creature - Skeleton
Menace , : Another target creature you control fights target creature you don't control.
2/1
As if regular skeletons didn't give you a bad enough time.
(Skelekinetic yeets the Territorial Deathkite (deathtouch-boosted, of course) at the Angelic Arbiter. Since fight doesn't give a bleep about first strike or any of its derivatives, the Arbiter dies. So does the Deathkite, but that doesn't really matter now, does it?)
Vox uses Rian's leftover 600 score set to unlock Dissension for Call for Aid, then calls up Vision Skeins.
You said that you exiled everything in your deck but one Nexus of Fate, didn't you, VI?
Rudara, Who Masters All: I like the static ability a lot. The -4 worries me a little, but I like how it pushes this from a clear 5-color control walker into something that can also serve as a ramp combo piece. My main problem with this card is all the abilities are in , or maybe ; there really isn’t anything to justify the black or red. 7/10.
Territorial Deathkite:Not a 5 mana 4/4, are you even trying? Solid card. Deathtouch is a bit weird on an aggressive flier, but vigilance holds the rest of it together well. 9/10.
Karina Reforged: Not a fan of how well this scales in multiplayer, or how the play pattern doesn’t involve any real decisions (except “do I crack this immediately once I hit seven loyalty or wait a turn?”, which would almost always have a clear answer). I do like the ultimate, but I wish it was on a different walker. 6/10.
Save the World: Fog stapled to a counterspell is pretty awkward, since you normally want to cast those at different times. The name is great, but I’m not sure this card quite lives up to it. 7/10.
Khon’s Endless Arsenal: I’m not a fan of legendary spells in general, since only being usable if you have a legend out is such win-more design space. Having it also only work with colorless mana on top of that makes the conditions even narrower, to the point where it’s most likely useless except maybe in one very specific deck where it wins the game on the spot. I do like how it gives an extra effect if you have Khon out, but that doesn’t seem necessary here. 6/10.
{There once was a god from the past}A faint sigh rolls in from all sides. "I have seen the Multiverse fall, child of ichor. More times than you could possibly imagine. I’ve tried explaining the situation to you, working with you, just as many. And, yes, my mind was made up ever since I died nineteen billion years ago."
The limitless blades continue to surge throughout the maze, taking every possible path. Khon, where are you?
"Do you have any idea who you’re talking to, child? Of course you don’t. I’m an echo of an imprint of a memory, flung into the future by my own long-dead self. Just one of uncountably infinite, endlessly splintered, refracted versions of the same consciousness, searching every possible future for the one where I might succeed. Not unlike one of the swords you’ve sent to search for me."
The voice continues, sourceless, unconnected to any physical form for the weapons to strike. Can you hear me, Khon? The walls are thin here. I don’t know what to do.
"But sometimes, after eons of searching, you find that what you seek isn’t in the maze at all."
VI calls for aid for a Kami of False Hope! It only exists relative to VI and Khon; everyone else treats it as though it’s phased out.
VI looks over her five-part mindscape. My future begins to clear already. Perhaps I can salvage this one after all.
But first, I must make one slight adjustment…
There is a feeling one might have, a sense of possibilities being stripped and pruned away as one rockets forward in time. It often manifests as anxiety, or a feeling of loss, or a desperate nostalgic pining for what might have been. To most, this sensation is too faint to notice, part of the background radiation of time’s passage. But here, in this mindscape, one just might feel it becoming gradually stronger.
{Guest Attack Card: Branching Timelines}Guest System Attack
VI exiles Mana Severance and Selective Memory, then casts them using Branching Timelines, exiling all cards in her deck but a Nexus of Fate.
Anyone can aid VI’s attack or defend on VIA’s behalf. When she has chosen her fate, VIA will respond.
Branching Timelines is potentially scary. However, it's also a beautiful concept. It really feels rather than just , though. 9/10
"If what you say is true," I reply to VI's claim, making note of VIA's voice reaching me through the walls - and her words in particular - as I do so, "then you are an even more pathetic existence than I originally believed. VIA, heed my words!" I call out to the younger voice, making sure she knows that I hear her. "I cannot tell you what choice you should make. I can tell you that this echo of memory cares nothing for you, however, or for what you desire. And... I can tell you that to allow yourself to be shackled by the past, to be defined by what others wish you to be, is a perilous path to travel. It is a mistake that I have made for far too long before today." As I finish speaking to VIA, a swarm of larger weapons - greatswords and massive axes - emerges from beneath my cloak, swirling around me. "But VI is correct on one point. Sometimes, what you seek can't simply be found by following the paths available."
I bring my arms together, as if grasping a single massive hilt with all four hands, and aether flares into being along them.
"If this is the case..."
The aether builds further as I sense it - possibilities falling away to time as VI seeks her chosen path - and I seize upon it, weaving those possibilities into the aether I gather. It condenses into first a long cylinder within my hands, before flaring out at the end into a wide blade.
"...then all that one can do..."
The weapon takes a more detailed form - a hilt and crossguard shaped of roiling aether, with an opening where the hilt and crossguard meet that shines with an otherworldly light. The blade, a sharpened pillar of iridescent light, stands as tall as I myself do, and is nearly as wide, large enough to require all four of my hands to wield properly. While it is somehow defined, it also seems somehow unreal - as though it was not meant to exist on any plane.
"...is create their own path."
Aether, fueled by lost probabilities, arcs from the blade outward, first sparking along the edges of the large swords and axes nearest me, then outward further, across each and every weapon within the maze. Amidst a web formed by the light of countless worlds reflected off of the edges of countless blades, I leap into the air, the construct shaped from the Eternities themselves held above my head. And as I descend, it - as well as every single weapon released - crashes against the structure of the maze, a tide of aether, of possibilities, and of endless realities crashes into the oil-slickened surface, tearing through it.
Edge of the Eternities Legendary Artifact - Equipment Equipped creature gets +1/+1 for each card you don't own that's in exile. Whenever equipped creature deals combat damage to a creature, exile that creature. Whenever equipped creature deals combat damage to a player, you may exile up to one target permanent that player controls. Your opponents can't play cards from exile. Equip
Calling for Aid from Flaring Pain to ensure that damage can't be prevented (Mana remaining: 4/30). Also using Khon's -X (X=1) to make him a creature and equip Edge of the Eternities. Just how many cards did you exile, exactly? ^_^

Relax: I’m not sure the condition is really necessary, but it’s an interesting way to encourage using it on your turn without telling you outright. 9/10.
What is Fate but a Tool?: A counterspell scheme? I guess it had to be done eventually, and this is probably the cleanest way. 9/10.
Karina of Seconds: I like the second ability, but it doesn’t do much on its own and there aren’t a lot of cards that combo with it. Without that, it’s severely underpowered to the point where it doesn’t feel at all mythic. 7/10.
Skelekinetic: Could easily be mono-red, but other than that I like this. And the name is great (though now I wish it was a Skeleton Wizard). 9/10.
Edge of the Eternities: That’s a lot of text, and the second and third abilities could probably stand to be folded into some kind of Argentum Armor effect. But it’s such an incredibly badass card to end this event on I’ll give it the 10/10.
{She reached for the last of her soul}As the Phyrexian’s blade tears through the very essence of her maze, VI lets out a piercing scream that reverberates through every part of her mindscape. Khon finds himself floating in what appear to be the Blind Eternities, an enraged porcelain goddess towering above him.
"I should have known. It all makes sense now. The girl, she was trouble, but I could work around her. But you? You should have never left the abyss between worlds, spark of Eternity."
VI’s gaze lowers to the young girl floating in the space between them. She motions with one hand, raising her higher, then a glowing golden thread begins to spill upwards from the girl’s forehead. As she sweats and struggles, a barrier of shifting black and gold appears around the two, shuddering beneath the impacts of Khon’s arsenal. A stabbing pain streaks from his metal skull to the very core of his being, and he begins to see the roiling emptiness around him fade, a vague suggestion of the Arena’s blue-white sky coalescing into view behind it.
"You know what you are, child? A glorified janitor. A hideous tentacled monstrosity, made to eat garbage and defecate planar slurry. Someone must have screwed up terribly for you to defile a humanoid form, if you can even call an oil-spawn ‘humanoid.’ But then, who else among our kind would ever deign to reincarnate in one? You were never a true First Risen. You’re not even a real planeswalker. You’re only obscured from my precognition at all because you’re too insignificant to matter. And… hold still, can’t we?"
The girl jerks away, the thread snaps, and Khon is hurled into a dimly lit room, empty except for the three members of EPIC and a faintly glowing green grid along the walls covered in bloodshot eyes.
{To merge with and make herself whole}Thank you… Sara, right? I think I’ve made my decision. I…
VIA’s thought is interrupted by the sound of something tearing, and a bloodcurdling psychic scream. A floating mass of weapons that could arm every man, woman, and child in Entela appears in the middle of the room. Somewhere in the center of the mass, they can make out a vague humanoid figure.
Yes, thank you, Sara. One more request. Please kill this Phyrexian for me.
{But a consciousness torn}Vox points the sword toward where he thought the elder angel was, but sees only more of the dry, cracked earth of this part of the Arena. His eyes follow the faint trickling river to five more humanoid figures: two robots, two women, one girl, and all recognizable from the strange hospital room. Every one of them is huddled on the ground, unaware of their surroundings, barely moving.
"Then you have failed. Leave this place and never return."
Vox hears a distant scream, and all the figures begin to shake and spasm. Blood and oil leak from eyes and mouths.
{And an ego forsworn}I consider power alone to… did you listen to a wordI said? Of course power isn’t enough. It all depends on how you use it, and if the way you use your power of hearing is any indication, you clearly need help in that regard.
VI screams, and Khon appears in front of her, surrounded by countless blades.
Forget this. I have more pressing matters to attend to than an idiot that rejects her own past.
VI’s mindscape grows ever more opaque, until Rudara can see only black text in a black void. She can read it, somehow, though by all rights it should be impossible.
REMEMBER YOUR DUTY, SPARK OF INFLUENCE. EXPUNGE THE ANATHEMA FROM YOUR DOMAIN.
{Still stood in the way of her goal}VIA hears the sharp pain in her mind, the scream, the agony of VI, time slowing down as their shared mindscape descends into chaos.
There’s not much time, VIA. Let me in. Now.
Please, VIA.
I don’t want to die again.
From every corner of her mind, VIA hears voices not her own.
I don’t trust you. Give up this charade. To allow yourself to be shackled by the past, to be defined by what others wish… is a perilous path. Let yourself feel your decision is true before you make it. You need to figure out if… whatever this is… is worth it for you.
I know you don’t want to die, VI. Neither do I. But…
VIA can now call for aid from Coldsnap and Future Sight!
VIA discards two Islands and a Rite of Flame (1 Mana, Coldsnap), then exiles a Black Lotus (0 mana, Alpha), another Rite of Flame, and a Word of Seizing (5 Mana, Time Spiral), which she uses to take control of VI, Endless and activate her +2, drawing a Pact of Negation (0 Mana, Future Sight) to use as countermagic backup for everyone else’s cards. Total Mana Spent: 8.
The Augmentation room collapses first, eyes melting from the walls as they crumble to dust. The broken pieces of the maze dissolve to a fine mist, and the cosmic cylinder-habitat implodes into a black hole with no one around to witness. The image of the Eternities fades away, and finally, Karina sees what’s left of the operating room splinter into fragments around her. VIA awakens to hard, cracked earth, just in time to see the last of a thin stream as it evaporates to nothing.
You’ve… doomed… your world… I hope… you’re… happy…
"If the Anathema truly exists, I will face it, and I will help destroy it. But I will do so for my empire, and on my terms. And maybe, if you’re a good little memory and don’t try to take over, I’ll let a few of your more useful parts back in."
She concentrates, and shifts most of her spark back to its prison in the planar portal that was once her body, restoring its function to AKH… VIA?
There’s still an instance of me on Azoria. The discovery sinks through her like acid. I can’t… I can never go back. AKHATAR is truly lost to me. She stares into the distance. Forever.
She gazes motionless at the ground, and she sees five other faces emerging from nightmarish slumber. For the first time in countless years, there are no other voices in her head. But, looking at all these people from other worlds, so different from her, sharing nothing of her culture and traditions, she realizes she’s never felt less alone.
(“And it feels like waking up from some horrible nightmare and stretching your cramped arms and legs and realizing you're still alive and none of it mattered and I'm FREE….”)
My family, my home, is long dead. My empire, after all I’ve done to save it, is forbidden. She looks into the eyes of her confused and presumably terrified allies. But, maybe, it’s not the only place where those things can be found.
She bends down to help up Karina, then turns to the members of EPIC — that’s odd, Sara has the most intricate iris pattern — and bows apologetically. "Terribly sorry about all that. How’s everyone doing? Are you all okay?" 01010100 01101000 01101001 01110011 00100000 01101001 01110011 00100000 01100010 01110101 01110100 00100000 01101111 01101110 01100101 00100000 01110010 01100101 01100001 01101100 01101001 01110100 01111001 00101100 00100000 01010110 01001001 01000001 00101110 00100000 01010000 01110010 01100001 01111001 00100000 01110100 01101000 01100001 01110100 00100000 01001001 00100000 01101101 01101001 01100111 01101000 01110100 00100000 01110011 01110100 01101001 01101100 01101100 00100000 01110011 01110101 01100011 01100011 01100101 01100101 01100100 00101110 VI has been defeated, and there will be no more guest attacks. Feel free to attack VIA if there are any loose ends you’d like to tie up before she reincarnates, but please don’t start any new plot threads that might take a long time to resolve.
Rudara blinks, and she is returned to her sanctum, the physical surroundings causing her to reel somewhat as she adjusted herself. This news...did not surprise her. It was inevitable something would seek out her world to destroy it. Something that would wish nothing but to tear everything by its roots and salt the earth where it went. She had already witnessed the most recent incarnation of that threat.
But this was more than a simple invader. It was a force, something that challenged a goddess herself.
Feared? By those who believed they were powerless. No. She was to remain vigilant in this matter.
The goddess quickly left her sanctum. There was work to be done.
Defy Destiny: Needs to be rare. Also lets you get lands, which is not what impulsive draw usually lets you do. 6/10
"I... Will be, once I recover my internal energy. Staying outside of aether for too long and expending that much energy that quickly isn't healthy for us, and especially not for someone with a body composed mostly of it." I look to Seiva and Leira. "I'll leave this to EPIC. I'm going to get back to Entela before I die to falling down somewhere."
// Seiva nods. "Got it, Master Sara. We'll let you know once everything is done."
// Master Sara begins her walk back to the Entelan outpost to go home.
"I'm sorry, Empress VIA. And everyone else involved..."
// Leira holds her hands in front of her sheepishly.
"I lead you into what now looks like a trap, which lead to that... being attacking you and us. If there's something I can do to assist you in repayment, please.

Heading Home Instant Each player returns to their hand all cards in their graveyard that were put there from the battlefield or from their hand this turn. should have told her out loud VIA prob the last one for little intern Defy Destiny - At one mana, prob should only last for the one turn 7/10
Repayment: Odd that repaying your opponent hurts them. I like how this is WB removal that wants to go in a more aggressive deck; that's underused space, I think. 9/10.
"Just VIA, please." The android lowers her head. "I'm... not the Empress anymore."
"But it's not your fault, not really. I had more reason to suspect a trap than any of you. If you still feel the need to repay me, well... maybe contact my other self on Azoria and tell her you couldn't find me. I doubt I'll be staying on this plane much longer anyway."
Fruitless Search Instant You and permanents you control gain hexproof until end of turn. Your opponents can't search libraries this turn.
Defy Destiny is a nice card - probably should cost 4-5, though, given the effect. 7/10
I slowly push to my feet, my blades whirring softly as they hover in the air above for a moment before they vanish into wisps of aether. I look over the group - the explorer, Karina Oblay, speaking with concern to the android. The three women from EPIC - I give a respectful nod to Sara as she departs, leaving the other two to manage things for their organization. The angel, watching at a distance. And VIA herself - seeming somehow at ease after what has occurred. An unusual group of allies, but worthy ones nonetheless. I approach, despite the fatigue and pain left from the battle, even as one of the women from the Eternity Project offers her apologies for what occurred.
"VIA," I say as I near the android, "I see you have made your choice. I am glad to see that you are well..." I look at the others, addressing the group as a whole, "I am quite pleased that all of you are well after such an ordeal, in fact." Turning back to VIA, I continue, "I hope that my own actions did not cause you any harm, but I did not believe there was time to find another option to proceed with."
Khon Vasq, Spark of Eternity Legendary Planeswalker - Khon Whenever a spell or ability an opponent controls puts a permanent or card that player owns into exile, put a loyalty counter on Khon Vasq, Spark of Eternity. : Look at the top two cards of your library. Exile one of those cards face-down, and put the other into your hand. : Choose a card you own in exile. Until end of turn, you may play that card and it costs less to cast. : You get an emblem with "You may play cards any player owns from exile, and you may spend mana as though it was any type to play those cards."
"Alright then. VIA. If you ever need help or a place to go, feel free to come talk to me, okay? Any others around," I address the... room? What used to be a room. I look at Seiva, who nods at me. "Same for you. EPIC will be happy to help."
Sure can't search. Definitely stone raining some people. I think this wants to be double density like Shadow of Doubt, since the hexproof is a very relevant clause too. 7/10
Heading Home: This take on Shadow of the Grave feels appropriately white, but returning from the battlefield as well seems maybe too strong at 2 mana, even if it is symmetrical. I do like the concept, though. 9/10.
VIA turns to the girl. "No, Karina. There's... another me already there. I'll need to find a new home somewhere else." She kneels to the ground, facing her. "So, no, I'm not okay. But... I think I will be."
On impulse, she wraps the girl in a hug. "Thank you, Karina. For helping me through VI, and everything else. She was right about at least one thing: you're so much more than you appear to be."
Spark of Memory Sorcery Reveal the top five cards of your library. Put one of them into your hand and the rest into your graveyard. Whenever a permanent card is put into your hand from your graveyard, return ~ from your graveyard to your hand.
Khon Vasq, Spark of Eternity: I think the second loyalty ability needs to either specify face-up cards (which would stop it from synergizing with the first ability) or let you look at the card before choosing to cast it. I also wish the first ability worked with your own exile effects, rather than being a sort of mild hoser. Other than that, I like the concept of this card quite a bit, even if it does break the rule around keeping cards in exile maybe a little too hard. 8/10.
VIA nods. "It caused me some harm, yes, but nothing compared to what would happen if you hadn't. You did well, Khon. Myself and AKHATAR are lucky to have you as an ally."
"Speaking of which," she continues, "I'd appreciate if you could check in with them on Azoria. I can show you the path, even if I can't go there myself. But not a word of having met me, understand? As far as they're concerned, I don't exist."
Paths Untaken Instant Search your library for up to two cards with different names and reveal them. Target opponent chooses one of those cards. Exile that card and put the rest into your hand. Then shuffle your library.

I smile a bit. "I think I know what you mean."
"And, we can do that. I said I'd help you get home, even if that means we've got to get you a new one." Spark of Memory - interesting. 9/10

This should be , rather than , just due to the tutor effect. That said, it probably could stand to cost , given that you get one card and the other goes into exile (Gifts is as potent as it is due to reanimation being a thing). I like the idea, though. 8/10
"I would be happy to check in with them," I reply to VIA, before continuing, "I was unaware that AKH had located a suitable plane for the empire of AKHATAR to settle. Even if I was not involved in doing so, I should at least meet with them once more in order to ensure that the location meets their needs. And I will not speak of your presence at all to them. If the fragment that we faced has become part of the gate once more, I would prefer to avoid the possibility of repeating this incident. Calling forth that weapon in particular is difficult, to say the least. If you could direct me to Azoria, it would greatly simplify matters."
After a moment's thought, I create several of my beacons, handing one to the android. "Aside from that, however, I ask that you keep this on hand. This will provide you with a means of summoning me should you require my aid - you need only break it in order to draw my attention, wherever among the planes I may be." I then offer a couple to the women from EPIC, as well as one to the angel, and continue, "This applies to all of you, as well. Should any of you require my aid, simply break the beacon and I will come."

Khon's Beacon: That is a lot of text, and I'm not sure what kind of set wants both colorless *and* Phyrexian mana, let alone on the same card. Since they're both library searching effects, it would be a lot easier to combine them into one, then give some cost reduction or other benefit to the effect if you choose to search out Khon. Also don't think it should be legendary, since you clearly have a lot of them. There's a cool idea somewhere in here, but I think this iteration has too much going on. 6/10.
VIA takes the beacon. "Thank you, Khon."
Khon sees the air around her hum and begin to distort, as though collapsing in on itself to crush her out of existence. It stops just as abruptly, leaving her unharmed, and Khon can sense a trail through the Blind Eternities momentarily bridging two planes. "Not entirely sure what I just did, but what's left of VI's memory tells me that should point you to Azoria."
She steps back and nods to the Phyrexian. "Good luck, Spark of Eternity."
Cross the Planes Sorcery Search your library for up to two basic land cards. If you've already searched your library this turn, put those cards onto the battlefield tapped. Otherwise, put one of them onto the battlefield tapped and the other into your hand. Then shuffle your library.

This is a very, very nice land searcher - probably could cost instead of , but this really loves to come off of a fetch turn 3 (if not sooner) while still being viable without the search effect. 9/10
I nod back at the android, and say, "I will seek you out once I return, if only to let you know how they fare." With that, I vanish from the Arena, following the trail that VIA provided to Azoria.
"I said I'd help you get home, even if that means we've got to get you a new one."
"Thank you, Karina. For helping me through VI, and everything else. She was right about at least one thing: you're so much more than you appear to be."
VIA lets go of the girl and stands up. "And yes, I suppose I’m back to where I started. Looking for a home." She gazes off into the distance, then looks back down at Karina. "Was there a place you had in mind?"
"I don't, no. But I can take you to Tena! That's where the 7CI is now. If they helped before, they can help again, right?"
"Hmm. I'd considered that, but... wait..." VIA puts a hand to her chin. "If I were to work for the 7CI, I could still help my people on New AKHATAR! Not by going there, but still, it's better than nothing."
Karina gives her a big smile. "Oooh, with all the stuff you can do, I'm sure you could fit it anywhere you wanted. We can head there whenever you're ready!" She pauses to think for a second. "Hmm, you can follow a planeswalk, right?"
VIA nods, and the two vanish.
A few minutes later, a young man holding a large tome appears in the space they left.
"This is the place, right?" I carefully flip through the pages, looking for… something. Why am I pawing through the World Book, anyway? I’m Outside! This is my first day as its Chosen, and it’s about time.
Still, it feels like something is missing…
I brush off the thought. It’s time to find some stories.
Note: This timeline has been altered. What originally happened is below. You're welcome. — VI
{Spoiler}{Spoiler} A few minutes later, a young man holding a large tome appears in the space they left.
"This is the place, right?" I carefully flip through the pages, looking for signs of the Pattern. There. My heart won't stop pounding. I still can't believe I've earned the privilege to look upon the face of divinity.
"Yes! We made it!"
Yeah, I probably look ridiculous jumping into the air like that, but this a pretty huge moment for me, so don't judge, okay?
VIA has left the Arena! A new character will appear shortly.
A cat with a staff and a big hat a approaches the boy. "Hello, meowster! Are you new here? Also, what's that book about?" He looks at the book you carry, excited.
Michi, Bookworm Legendary Planeswalker - Michi If you would draw a card you may scry 1, then draw a card instead. : Draw a card.
A man and his dragon walk by, happening to see the man jumping for joy. The man gives him a curious look from a distance, while the dragon flies over towards him and begins to celebrate with him, making noises and flying in little loops. The man follows her over, but is walking as opposed to the dragon's rapid flight.
Wild Celebration Enchantment Whenever a creature enters the battlefield, up to one target creature you control gets +1/+0 until end of turn. The more the merrier they say - at least, until the party crashers walk in.
Existence is suffering and pain. Luckily, I'm a masochist.
Wow that is WAY more edgy than I thought it would be but we're keeping it LOL
Michi, Bookworm: I actually don't mind War-esque uncommon walkers (though I still kind of wish they had two actives instead of passive + active), and this seems like a fine example. 9/10.
So, the next few seconds are a bit of a blur for me. I remember jumping onto a table, shouting "RAKSHASA," and conjuring the Guardian River into this world. At least, that would explain the shimmering tidal wave pouring from the World Book and forming a defensive shield in front of me, ringed with spears of golden light.
Not the greatest first impression, I'll admit. But you can't be too careful when it comes to cats.
World Book's Protection Enchantment As ~ enters the battlefield, choose a card name. Your opponents can't cast spells with the chosen name or activate abilities of sources with the chosen name. Creatures with the chosen name can't attack you or planeswalkers you control.
Wild Celebration: Pretty sure this could stand to be stronger, given Impact Tremors has a usually-better ability for 1 mana less at common (and your opponents can just cast their own creatures postcombat, so triggering off them too won't accomplish much). Should probably be +2/+0, cost less, or affect all your creatures. 8/10.
I look up at the... dragon? "Whoa!" I didn't realize they had these Outside, too! I wonder what else is?
I turn to the man walking toward me. "Oh, hi! Nice to meet you! Is this dragon yours?"
Wide-Eyed Wonder Enchantment - Aura Enchant creature Whenever a creature enters the battlefield under your control, if its power is greater than enchanted creature's power, put a +1/+1 counter on enchanted creature and draw a card.

(Michi, a freaked out cat) What the actual meow. "Meowster? Are you okay?" I carefully touch the shield. It seems like water... "What is a Rakshasha? and why should I be one. I've never heard that word before." I try to force my paw through the wall.
Mark of the Nameless Instant Target permanent loses all names, supertypes and subtypes until end of turn. If it's a creature, put a +1/+1 counter on it. Draw a card.
World Book's Protection: This should say nonland, to avoid shutting off mana abilities. Outside of that I like it. 7/10

ParasignWide-Eyed Wonder: "Enchanted creature becomes the mostly intended side of Fathom Mage in addition to it's other " ... "things." I dig that, mostly cause Fathom Mage is one of my favorite cards. 10/10.
The man looks with a raised eyebrow at your bewilderment, before giving a light shrug at his question. "Something like that." Callie flies around the man, and seems to be asking for permission to land on him somewhere, flapping her wings, tail excitedly wagging. "Never seen one?" he asks, motioning to Callie with his head.
Dragon Raiser Creature - Human Shaman Whenever you cast a creature spell, you may . If you do, put a +1/+1 counter on ~. , remove 4 +1/+1 counters from ~: Create a 4/4 red and green Dragon creature token with flying. 3/3

Mark of the Nameless: I like this effect a lot. 10/10.
Seeing the cat push its claws through the shield, I tense and prepare for the worst. But there’s no yowling scream, no stench of burning fur, no hellish paw turning to ash. It’s just a talking cat.
I let the shield splash onto the floor and evaporate.
"No, I guess you’re not. Sorry. Where I’m from, Rakshasa are… well, they look like you. When they’re not nine-foot-tall demonic tigers that eat human flesh." Like my paren-
Um, rude. Don’t listen into my thoughts like that, okay? I have boundaries too, you know.
I get down off the table. "So, uh, let's just pretend that never happened. You asked about my book, right?" I hold it up. "This is the World Book. It's my home, and the home of everyone I've ever known before today. Yes, even the Rakshasa, but bad things would happen if I tried to remove them. I'm looking for, uh, stories from other cultures. Everything in this book was once a tale told by someone Outside it."
I flip it open and sit facing the completely ordinary and not-at-all-monstrous sapient feline. "So, does your, uh, kind have myths, legends, anything like that? If so, I'd love to hear them."
Silver-Bordered Wordless Warding Enchantment Each permanent you control has hexproof from everything with more words in its name.
Dragon Raiser: Feels like it could stand to be a bit stronger as a rare, but I like the concept. 9/10.
"Huh? No, I've seen them before. I just thought they were all imaginary." I hold out my arm for the dragon to land. "My name's Parsul, by the way. What's yours?"
Imaginary Realm Enchantment Illusions, Nightmares, and creature tokens you control get +1/+1 and have flying.

ParasignImaginary Realm: Seems solid with the two mana tokens get +1/+1 (whose name I can't remember) and blue liking illusions. Nightmares feels a bit out of place though, being black and all. 9/10.
Bell looks him up and down. Young. Callie lands on his arm, and her claws dig into his skin a little bit, causing pain but not hard enough to pierce. She sits contentedly, her tail occasionally brushing along his side while it moves. "Bell." the man says after a second. "Callie." he says, nodding at Callie, and she gives a small bark of acknowledgement. He looks at the book in the young man's hands. "Good read?" he asks.
Dream Slayer Creature - Orc Warrior Trample When ~ enters the battlefield, target opponent creates a 2/1 blue Illusion creature token with flying and a 2/1 black Nightmare creature token with menace. "When he runs out of game, he release more. All it takes is a couple night's rest." - Tirasus, orc hunter 7/4

"Meow kind? I think that meow kind doesn't exist. Meow brother and I are the only ones." I jump on the table to try to peek at the book. "I know some meowths from very different places..." I suppose this human is also a planeswalker, but one is never too cautious. "So, how did you put an entire world inside of a book?"
Disbelieve Instant Put target artifact or enchantment in the bottom of it's owner's library.
Wordless Warding: This feels very Unstable-y, but I think it would be better with a three word name, to make it a little less resilient. 8/10
