WindyDelcarlo Medical Relief: I don't get the impression that this effect is generally worth 5 mana, even if spread across 2 turns. Though I guess it depends on the number of players and how much lifegain they're running. Not sure this is an effect I'd want to make a Development, but I've soured on multiplayer politics in general lately, so that might be affecting my judgment here. 8/10."Oh. That... really bleeds. I'm not sure what else to say." I pour the tea and bring it to the table, handing one cup to Leira. "But I think I get it. If everyone suddenly stopped telling stories, I'd feel pretty lost as well. I, um, hope Seiva or whoever it was finds you a new assignment soon."Cost of Labor Enchantment At the beginning of your upkeep, you may remove a counter from another target permanent. If you do, put a work counter on ~. , Remove all work counters from ~ and sacrifice it: Draw a card for each counter removed this way. "My... my current assignment is to find Sanaerti. Seiva noticed how much the city mattered to me so let me try to find it.""I just wish there was any signs, or anything. I feel close but also like I've gotten nowhere."I like the idea of Cost of Labour. I think it shouldn't target for the first trigger, though. It would play better being able to do anything once it resolves. 8/10 Reassign Instant Exile target creature. Its controller may search their library for a creature card with converted mana cost less than that creature's, reveal it, shuffle their library, then put that card on top of their library.

blueseclipse Knowledge from Beyond: I don't think this needs the "not named Knowledge from Beyond" restriction, for the same reason Diabolic Tutor doesn't, but I guess there's no harm in adding it. Still not a fan of unrestricted tutor/wish effects in general, even with the colorless requirement. 8/10."No useful purpose?" What an odd sentiment, as Master Srith would say. "I couldn't disagree more. Entertainment is the only reason the Multiverse exists at all! Well, probably. No one really knows how the Outermost think."And that's another thing he won't understand. For all their advanced tech, I keep forgetting how primitive Outsider meta-cosmology is."But never mind that. It's part of why the World Book exists, at least. Or it was, before the Ark Lords made it into a cultural archive. So... what kind of realm? Well, it's made from stories across the Multiverse, so it has a little bit of everything that wouldn't break the status quo in half. Thank the Void I just have to find them, not figure out how to merge them into a self-consistent plane."Unreal Archive Enchantment If you would choose one or more cards you own from outside the game, choose up to twice that many cards instead. , Sacrifice ~: Choose up to four cards you own from outside the game and shuffle them into your library. This is a very interesting card - however, I don't think it would ever actually see print, as I don't believe that 'wish tribal' would ever be enough of a thing to warrant support for it. It also, I believe, is a nonbo with itself - once you sac it, the effect no longer applies to let you pull twice the number of cards from outside the game. If I'm wrong, it's definitely too powerful, as it results in getting 8 cards from outside the game into the library for a total of 4 mana, not counting any other wish effects you might use. The question also arises of how this interacts with things like Karn, the Great Creator's wish ability - you can choose to get cards from outside the game or in exile with it, so do you always get double, or do you have to choose from outside the game to get it doubled? Can you pick one card from outside the game and another from exile in that case? It's problematic in cases like that. 5/10 - I like the idea in theory, but the execution is heavily flawed.Khon nods, and replies, "I take it that these Ark Lords are planeswalkers themselves, then? Or were, at least? I know that in times past, there were planeswalkers who had sufficient power to create planes, or to alter existing ones, though I do not believe that any current planeswalkers have such capabilities. Or is it these Outermost that you speak of who created this realm of yours?" Khon stops, pausing to consider for a moment, before continuing, "Or have I misunderstood, and the two are the same?"Otherworldly Reclaimer Creature - Eldrazi If a card would be put into exile from anywhere, you may pay . If you do, exile that card with a reclamation counter on it. You may cast cards with reclamation counters on them from exile, and you may spend as though it was mana of any type to cast them. 5/5

blueseclipse Otherworldly Reclaimer: I’m not sure I like the way this breaks the "exile is forever" rule, since it can affect multiple cards other than itself, and even after it dies the cards stick around to be cast later if you play another one. (It remains on the battlefield even as it's moved to another zone, and exists in both zones simultaneously. If it's in a hidden zone, play with it revealed in that zone unless it's also face-down on the battlefield.) This is essentially a souped-up version of indestructibility. But I honestly like it as an un-card - it's just screwy enough that it works, but it isn't exactly hard to grok. The only concern is how it handles if the enchanted permanent is shuffled into your library somehow.Khon listens calmly as the man explains the Ark Lords, and then mentions the Outermost once again. blueseclipse Spellbound Colossus: This looks like a combo piece at first glance, but due to the symmetry and impractical Aura threshold I think it’s secretly just a niche hate card (or maybe not so niche – this seems very strong against Bogles decks). 8/10. Then the clone stands up, looks at me, and bolts before I can process what's happening.

They've heard me. The other me is staring directly at me, with a look of horror on his face. Is this time travel? I vaguely remember hearing that if you meet yourself from another timeline the world ends or something. Whatever it is, it's bad. I should leave, now.
I run until I'm out of breath. Wait, did I leave the World Book behind? No. No, I'm still holding it. Phew.

(Not quoting the prior post because something about the formatting there makes it go wonky when I try to do so. But Eternal Essence was 10/10 - not sure why I missed including that. As for Crossing the Streams, it's okay - it's a riff on Followed Footsteps, giving you an extra token when cast but exiling the tokens when the aura leaves play. The name doesn't really seem to fit the card, and Followed Footsteps is already a meh card in my opinion. 8/10.Khon watches as another Parsul appears, before slamming his hands over where his ears should be, pain lancing through his skull as an unknown voice rings through the air. The words are garbled, distorted... as if hidden behind a layer of static. However, parts of them are clear to him, meaning piercing his mind as if he should already have known it. Finally, the voice - and the pain - fades, and he watches the other Parsul turn and leave, before turning to the one near him as he returns to his normal bearing. His voice carries a slight hint of strain as he speaks, "What just happened? I... somehow, I do not feel this was your doing. But what is it that just happened? What was that voice, and why could I not clearly understand it?"
Voice of Oblivion Creature - Eldrazi When Voice of Oblivion enters the battlefield, you may exile up to one target noncreature, nonland permanent. blueseclipse Voice of Oblivion: Not a fan of how this breaks the "don’t cast from exile" rule, but as a 7-mana Eldrazi it’s one of the less egregious ways to do that. Still, I'd prefer if it could only cast the permanent it exiled (and maybe given a slight bump in stats to compensate). 8/10."I..."The pattern."Um..."Everything has a pattern, as Master Srith would always say. I still can’t imagine what he would have done to me any other time."It’s likely that…"He sat at his desk, holding a bottle of some dark pungent liquid that swam like a living shadow before my eyes. Tomes I’d been expressly forbidden to even look at lay scattered around him. And, now that I think back on it, I could have sworn he was weeping blood."…oh my void…"He didn’t yell, or glower, or even move. He just sat there, and said in a voice barely above a whisper…"It’s here, isn’t it?"Naturally, I said nothing. He spoke again, a touch louder this time."A pattern. In the Scriptures."He jerked from his chair like a marionette and stumbled toward me, excitement in his eyes. Or was it fear? His voice rose until he was practically screaming. He thrust the World Book into my hands – I’d never seen it before, but recognized it instantly, as if I had always known."What is it? What do you see?!"I startle back to the present. (It’s still removed at the end of a match.)At the beginning of your end step, put a time counter on The End of All Things. Then, if it has twenty or more time counters on it, you win the match. "Ah, excellent. As I remember it...
// Silia is a child born to two engineers working in Mileran's largest aether reactor. One day, during a heavy storm, Silia notices the lights in her room die out, and she feels a light chest pain. As she stands to find out why the lights aren't working, she recognizes most of the technology isn't working. Her transceiver still works, but the clock isn't working, the fridge isn't on, and the stove won't produce heat. As time goes on, she gets more and more panicked, until alerts start filling her transceiver. Errors from networks that failed to connect, warnings of "big bad things" happening from the networks that did, but those networks were quickly lost as well, until her transceiver was nothing but a flashlight. Her own spells fail to work, even when she tries to make them happen.
// Right as Silia thinks to move, a massive explosion from the aether reactor ripples through the city, shattering the supports of her house and causing it to collapse. Silia passes out under all the stress. When she wakes up, she realizes the stone and metal from her house's construction contorted around her, leaving her in a puddle from the continuous rainfall above but leaving her alive. Perhaps maybe one of her spells worked after all.
// Silia leaves her house, finding the footprint of Mileran, but none of the actual city. The people were all gone, either killed or fled. The buildings were destroyed, the aether reactor was nowhere to be seen. Silia scrounges to find food and water, and watches as some officials from Entela, Mileran, and Theria come and go. One day, while she's scavenging, Silia is offered to become a student in Entela to study what happened to the technology across the world, giving her a chance for a better life. She accepts and is "adopted" by this person, and that's how this story ends.
The End of All Things is great fun for casual Silver and I love it. 10/10 Silia, Grand Engineer Legendary Creature - Human Artificer At the beginning of your upkeep, you get . : Double the amount of mana you have. 2/1

WindyDelcarlo Silia, Grand Engineer: I wish this did a bit more on its own, since right now it looks like it only wants to be used in some gratuitously unfair energy-ramp deck. That said, a gratuitously unfair energy-ramp deck sounds like fun to me. 9/10.I listen to the story like a dead man savoring his last meal. For a while, I almost forget what it means for my future; Leira’s clearly a skilled storyteller, and I’m absorbed in her tale of loss and survival. As she finishes, I feel a sense of déjà vu, like I’d heard of Mileran before.
"Thank you, Leira. That was a great story. Oh, and I hope you’re feeling better now."

As Leira turns to leave, the pages of the World Book writhe with swirling silver text. I blink, and it’s gone. Probably just tired.
I just need to… rest my eyes… a bit…
The next morning, a metal ship the size of a barn lies in a smoking crater where the cottage once stood. A single, worn sheet of paper lies on the ground nearby: a page torn from an old book, there for anyone to pick up.
They say to write what you know.
I am many things: historian, scientist, philosopher. But, first and foremost, I am a writer. I always considered the First Gods writers too, even if their medium was infinitely more sublime than enchanted ink on trans-dimensional paper. So, it makes sense that they created the Multiverse in their image. And I can only assume that whatever created them in turn thought much the same way.
When I began this project, this book, I sought to unravel the very nature of existence. I sought to know the purpose our creators laid out for us, that I might better serve the cause of Ultimate Meaning. I sought to understand why they made us, why they left, and what they left behind. I had hoped that, after wading through the countless banal and wretched and incomprehensible worlds that form our home, I would uncover the point. The Pattern that connects it all.
But there is always the danger that, in doing so, you find nothing. That with all of Creation laid bare before you, knots untangled and mystery scrubbed away, there was never anything hidden beneath. That the whole of existence was a meaningless endeavor. Worse than meaningless: something that lied, pretended to have meaning for its own sake.
I cannot see the future. But I know who can, because she has tried to stop me on countless occasions. She is content to see every world live a long meaningless life, and trillions of years from now to watch them all die an equally pointless death. Because, for all her wisdom, she refuses to learn what I have learned. She refuses to look Outside.
I suspect she will refuse to look Inside as well.
I cannot see the future. But, like everyone else, I have the power to change it. When I return, I can only hope my other plans will have proven equally successful, that the true work may begin at last.
I will not settle for a pointless Multiverse. Even if I must sharpen it myself.
I will be the synthesis that gives it purpose.
I am the Pattern.
Parsul has left the Arena! A new character will appear shortly.
Five new characters, in fact.

mrlozano Shadow of the Stalker: This is a very cool and flavorful take on a shade that appears out of nowhere. 10/10."Ooh, a kitty! Hello, kitty!"A young girl stands just outside the crater, waving at the presence, radiating an aura of innocence and trust. A small, skeletal creature covered in roiling black ooze slinks around her feet. "Do you want to play with Musis?" The girl smiles, flashing multiple rows of sharp teeth. [Doer, Not Undercover] I emerge from my hideout and look at the... human? "I'm not a kitt..." And she smiles. Meow! What's that? "I would like to play with whoever Musis is, little meowstress, but sadly..." But sadly, I like to preserve my fur intact. "But I'm all in for a little chat. You know, from a reasonable distance." In my back, the weapon shifts from a dagger to a small crossbow, hopefully unnoticed. I hate fighting from the distance, but I also hate being eaten alive by human girls. And whatever that thing is. Neottolemo Sweating the Small Stuff: Not a fan of the name (especially in black border), but the ability is quite interesting. 9/10. "…TV static? Is that some kind of dessert? And no, the World Book decides what’s included, not me. It’s survived for billions of years, so I’m pretty sure it knows what’s safe and what isn’t."
Which only makes it that much worse if I’m somehow the first to screw everything up. But that’s ridiculous and I’m not supposed to think that way.
"Anyway, life Inside isn’t really all that different either. Certainly not as much as I’d been told. Magic’s pretty much the same. Physics is slightly different, but I’m no expert, so all it means to me is that moving around out here feels kind of weird. I’ve gotten used to it. The biggest difference is the High Scriptures don’t apply here, but I’m told you have your own version which is way subtler and harder to notice. To the extent where you probably wouldn’t understand if I tried to explain them, come to think of it."
I shrug. "And even that doesn’t mean much, since I’m the Chosen, so the Scriptures kind of follow me wherever I go. But, again, hard to explain and you probably don’t need to worry. Now, about this 'original' universe of yours…" I gesture for him to continue.Note: This timeline has been altered. What originally happened is below. You're welcome. — VI{Spoiler} "…TV static? If that spell targets one or more nontoken creatures you control, put a +1/+1 counter on each of those creatures. The timeline has been altered further. These events did not happen.

blueseclipse Voice of Oblivion: Not a fan of how this breaks the "don’t cast from exile" rule, but as a 7-mana Eldrazi it’s one of the less egregious ways to do that. Still, I'd prefer if it could only cast the permanent it exiled (and maybe given a slight bump in stats to compensate). 8/10."I..."The pattern."Um..."Everything has a pattern, as Master Srith would always say. The High Scriptures are the laws of the Outside are the laws of the Outermost, magnified and twisted at each level in accordance with the fractal symmetry of the Multiverse."I think…"He confided in me, once. I’d snuck out into the castle garden, so I could show Arcie the book I’d found that… that was the last time I’d seen her, wasn’t it? It already feels so long ago. When I crept back into the Sanctum to return it, Srith was there, looking right at me. I froze. Taking books without permission? That never happened. Not to me."I think that was the voice of my creator." Note: W,^.. #r< iiix:;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; &l'?ck shortly. - VI
Planar Prison Enchantment Cards can’t leave exile. While I like the concept behind this, it feels like it could probably cost , given that in most cases it's going to do nothing other than turn O-Ring effects into permanent exile. 9/10"The voice of your creator?" Khon considers for a moment, before shaking his head. "I am still unclear as to what is occurring here. However, I believe that I will best find answers by pursuing that double of yours that appeared... perhaps we shall meet again." With that, Khon turns and walks off in the direction that the other Parsul ran in.

mrlozano Doer, Rakdos MC: Don’t think the "can’t be sacrificed" is necessary here, on an already wordy card; just say "permanent other than ~" on the next ability. Otherwise this seems fine, if a bit oppressive. 9/10."A talking kitty!" The girl gasps. "I didn’t even have to kim-pleet you first! Janey won’t believe this!""YOU COULD MAKE HER." The voice resounding from the skeletal creature is deep, ragged, and wet. "No, Musis! Bad! Janey’s nice and brave and pretty and you can’t make me hurt her." The girl turns back to Doer and holds out a delicious-smelling lump of something black and oily. "Here, kitty. It’s a treat! You want a treat?"Something about the question makes it seem more a like a statement of fact. Baleful Bait Sorcery Target creature blocks this turn if able. If that creature dies this turn, return it to the battlefield under your control. It’s tragically delicious.Xylsha Calls for Aid for a Master Splicer (4 mana, M20), attacking with the golem to enable the Bait.

WindyDelcarlo Detonate: Already a card name, but other than that this seems like a fine board wipe for black-red artifacts in some format or other. 9/10.A vedalken, kithkin, and orochi all emerge from the ship, coughing smoke. "Are you insane? Did you not hear that explosion?" Yells the vedalken. "We could be in a war zone for all you know!"
The orochi glares back. "You claimed to have a degree in interplanar navigation.""Theoretical interplanar navigation! Did you imagine I could simply cavort about the Multiverse in this outrageously expensive top-secret prototype whenever I desired? Now go and find out what’s going on!"
For a moment, the orochi seems about to tear out the vedalken’s throat. Then they take a deep breath, turn, and leap to the rim of the crater in one bound. The vedalken looks down at the kithkin. "Stay here and guard the ship. I’ll go look for the humans who can’t stick around five minutes while we find our bearings. Typical." He lets out an exasperated sigh and turns to leave. Leap Away Instant Until end of turn, target creature gets +0/+3 and gains flying and hexproof. (No idea how much life you paid but I hope this was enough)
