I recently sat down to write up a post about the first proper set I've been working on and post it up in this board. Without writing about the cards or the setting in their current iteration, I was at a loss for where to start. Describing my objectives and goals while designing felt flimsy when compared to the designs I was assured but not completely confident in. Discussing mechanics and individual cards made me realize that there are problems in my set that I'm at a loss to fix myself. Laying out a setting that's only existed as a nebulous and fluid set of ideas in my head would've been far too disorganized for a public forum post.
So I ask MSEers more experienced than myself: What's the process you undergo when preparing to publish a set?
And to those like myself who are at a loss to publish their work: What issues have you been having?

And to those like myself who are at a loss to publish their work: What issues have you been having? my advice is: don't overthink it. come up with a reasonably cool tagline for your set, find some tasty art that conveys the general thing you're going for, make a post containing those things, drop the link to the file in that post

I agree. Find a cool one-liner to "sell" your set.

Climb to the top of the nearest mountain and scream the name of your set to the uncaring heavens! Then rip off your clothing and knife-fight a bear, carving your set's symbol into its hide (it's only a 2/2, you'll be fine) - that is truly the only way to announce a set!
Or you could just do what they've said. I guess.
